Abstract: 应用高效液相色谱分析了对白叶枯病具有不同抗性水平的12个水稻品种中的19个(组)次生物质色谱峰(面积)的差异及其与白叶枯病抗性水平间关系.结果表明,水稻品种抗性水平与谱峰面积值之间相关极显著(R=0.992,p<0.01),被测的19个组分中,峰1、峰2、峰8、峰10、峰12、峰14、峰16和峰18是影响水稻对稻白叶枯病抗性水平的主要抗原次生物质.建立了水稻品种对白叶枯病抗性级别与以上次生物质含量谱峰面积之间的回归模型:Y=10.7603 0.1823X1-0.2287X2 0.2163X8-2.1975X10 0.0728X12 -0.7438X14 1.1484X16-0.7795X18.研究结果表明水稻品种中起抗病作用的抗原次生物质不止一种,而是几种的组合,而且它们对水稻抗病性的贡献作用是不完全相同的,这与它们的性质与含量密切相关.提出了以抗原次生物质为标记的快速分析、鉴定、预测水稻品种对稻白叶枯病抗性水平的新途径、新方法.
Study on a bacterial strain Bt8 for biocontrol against citrus bacterial canker

Abstract: Citrus bacterial canker is an important disease of Citrus species in China. The disease severely occurs especially in the coastal area. Integrated control system has been used for the control of the disease, in which chemotherapy plays an important role at present. The chemotherapy-dominant control system brought many problems to the environment, such as chemical residua in the products and induction of resistance to fungicide(s) by the pathogen. To solve these problems, an intensive study on biocontrol of citrus bacterial canker is needed. Isolations and characterizations of biocontrol agents are the basis for biocontrol of the disease. A bacterial strain Bt8 with strong inhibiting ability against Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri (Hasse) Vauterin, was isolated from citrus orchard soil in Nanning, China. The isolated bacterial strain was identified and characterized as Acinetobacter baumannii Bouvet et Grimont on the base of its morphology and 16S rDNA sequence analysis as well as physiological and biochemical characters. The inhibiting activity of the bacterium suspension against the pathogen was significantly influenced by environmental factors, such as temperatures, pHs and media. At temperatures of 18 degrees C to 33 degrees C, both the inhibiting activity of the bacterium suspension and the biomass of the bacterium increased with the increases of temperatures, suggesting that the influence of temperature on inhibiting activity of the bacterium suspension was in dependence on the bacterial biomass. In NA liquid medium of pH 10, the bacterium suspension showed the highest inhibiting activity against Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri, which was not in dependence on biomass of the bacterium. The bacterium suspension provided 55.2% inhibition against bacterial canker under greenhouse conditions. The results showed that Acinetobacter baumannii has potential as biocontrol agent against bacterial canker disease. Acinetobacter baumannii was reported as the pathogens infecting human and animals. The present study enriched the understanding on biological diversity in Acinetobacter baumannii to sciences. This is the first report on the isolation of Acinetobacter baumannii with strong inhibiting ability against plant pathogen.
Effects of environmental factors on growth and sporulation of Exserohilum rostratum causing banana leaf spot disease

Abstract: 为进一步明确香蕉叶斑病菌喙突脐蠕孢的生物学特性,调查了部分环境因素(碳氮源、植物成分培养基)对供试菌株(CLER09、D087和JL05)的营养生长和产孢的影响。结果显示,分生孢子主要先从基部萌芽,在28℃下约培养10h后出现两端萌芽;供试菌株对测试的20种碳源及26种氮源显示相似的生长反应,均可利用除菊糖外的测试碳源及氮源进行营养生长和产孢;测试的6种植物成分培养基对供试菌株的营养生长效果皆优于PDA培养基;除燕麦培养基外,其余5种培养基对菌株CLER09和D087的产孢作用均优于PDA培养基;测试的6种培养基对菌株JL05的产孢作用均优于PDA培养基。不同植物成分培养基对该菌分生孢子形态影响较大,以米糠、象草培养基对菌株D087 和JL05的分生孢子长度和玉米粉培养基对菌株CLER09的分生孢子宽度的增长效果最为明显。
FADS Gene Polymorphisms Confer the Risk of Coronary Artery Disease in a Chinese Han Population through the Altered Desaturase Activities: Based on High-Resolution Melting Analysis

Abstract: Objective We explored the desaturase activities and the correlation of fatty acid desaturases (FADS) gene single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with plasma fatty acid in coronary artery disease (CAD) patients in a Chinese Han population. Methods Plasma fatty acids were measured by gas chromatography in CAD patients (n = 505) and a control group (n = 510). Five SNPs in the FADS gene were genotyped with high-resolution melting (HRM) methods. Results After adjustment, D6D activity, assessed as arachidonic acid (AA, C20:4n-6)/linoleic acid (LA, C18:2n-6), was higher in CAD patients (p<0.001). D9D activity, which was estimated as the ratio of palmitoleic acid (C16:1)/palmitic acid (C16:0) or oleic acid (C18:1n-9) to stearic acid (C18:0), was also increased (p<0.001). The genotype distributions of rs174537 G>T and rs174460 C>T were different between the two groups. The rs174537 T allele was associated with a lower risk of CAD [OR 0.743, 95% CI (0.624, 0.884), p = 0.001]. Carriers of the rs174460 C allele were associated with a higher risk of CAD [OR 1.357, 95% CI (1.106, 1.665), p = 0.003]. Conclusions We firstly report that the rs174460 C allele is associated with a higher risk of CAD, and confirm that the rs174537 T allele is associated with a lower risk of CAD. Our results indicate that FADS gene polymorphisms are likely to influence plasma fatty acid concentrations and desaturase activities.
Plant diversity and its elevational gradient patterns in Mengshan Mountain, Shandong, China

Abstract: Samplings were gathered and examined in forests along topographical gradients of Mengshan Mountain, China in July of 2007 and 2008. The major communities in the forests can be classified as Quercus acutissima, Pinus densiflora, Pinus tabuliformis, Larix kaempferi, Pinus thunbergii and Robinia pseudoacacia-Q.acutissima community. Our research suggests that the Quercus acutissima community appears to be a dominant community in a successional stage toward temperate deciduous broad-leaved forests. The species richness in different layers of these communities can be distinguished as, herb layer>shrub layer>tree layer. Both the Shannon-Wiener diversity index and Simpson diversity index were found as shrub layer>herb layer>tree layer. The species diversity indices of different layers and overall importance value of the forest communities indicate that the forests appear to be successional and sub-climax communities in Mengshan Mountain. Our research also suggests that there is a peak with higher species diversity index in the communities of middle elevation. We found that the pattern could be affected by temperature, moisture, and human disturbance. The pattern could also be influenced by the nature of successional stages and sub-climax communities, or it could simply be due to the limitation in our sampling area and extend of gradients (800 m).

Abstract: This paper focuses on the problem of multiple actuator fault detection and isolation.First,a design method of detection filter under multiple faults is proposed. Then the robust problem of fault detection filter is investigated under the condition that the parameters of system matrix \%A\% and \%B\% are uncertain.The simulation test of the method in an aircraft equation is carried out in the end.

As the development of machine vision technology, the color line-scan system is widely applied in the on-line inspection. Due to the non-uniform gray scale and color distortion of the image acquired by the system, the image correction is needed to reduce the problem of image processing and the stability system. Based on reasons mentioned above, a method that using polynomial fitting to correct the image is presented to solve the problem in this paper. The method has been used in the automatic optical inspection of PCB, and has been proved to be effective. So this method will have a potential application to the development of the color line-scan machine vision system.

Relationship between histone acetylation/deacetylation and gene transcription

Abstract: In eukaryotes, nucleosome is the basic unit of chromatin. Nucleosorne is composed of an octamer of histone proteins (two molecules each of histones H2A, H2B, H3 and H4) and DNA strand wound around the octamer. Some data show that core histone octamer can affect gene transcription bothin vitro andin vivo. Recent results indicate that histone acetylation/deacetylation is a key step to regulate activity of genes. This article summarizes some coactivators, such as GCNSp, P300/CBP and TAFII 250, which are recently found to have histone acetyltransferase activity. The relationship between these coactivators and gene activation is also described. Besides, this article concerns some corepressors which have histone deacetylase activity, such as Rpd3p, HDAC2. These corepressors combine with other protein complex and then repress transcription. Finally, some problems to be solved and the future direction in this active field are discussed.
