A CASE STUDY OF THE APPLICATION OF A NEW CURRICULUM FOR THE BIOLOGY TEACHERS TO BE IN THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY FROM FORMOSA / DEL DISE O CURRICULAR AL DESARROLLO CURRICULAR. Abstract: This is an exploratory and descriptive investigation, from the socio-critical paradigm. It consists of the evaluation of the curriculum development of the new curriculum for the biology teachers to be in the national university from Formosa, in the republic of Argentina. It has been applied since 2001. The main objective is oriented to the identification of the fulfillments, problematic situations and action alternatives constructed in in the process of changing the curriculum. It is applied quantitative and qualitative techniques, with the intervention of students and teachers in the phase of collection and analysis of information. The methodological and theoretical triangulation is made to get a higher validity of the data obtained. We hope to get a significant contribution for the referred university.

Abstract: in this paper, proteins of constitutive expression such as vimentin, actin, tubulin, heat shock protein of 60 kda, peroxiredoxin and the mitochondrial atp sintase were identified in primary cultures of normal thyroid and papillary carcinoma. the extraction conditions, solubilization, quantitative and qualitative analysis of such proteins were established. in addition, the best conditions for isoelectrofocusing (ief) in the two-dimensional electrophoresis (2d) were founded. in the extraction and solubilization of proteins, the presence or absence ofampholytes or salts was evaluated. the best result in the extraction was obtained using buffer salts such as tris-hcl and magnesium acetate, which increase the solubility of these proteins. for quantification, the recommendation is to combine colorimetric techniques with sds-page electrophoresis stained with coomasie blue and western blot to confirm the results, which allows verifying the integrity of these proteins. in the two-dimensional electrophoresis, resolved, focused and reproducible gels with greater number of spots were obtained using in the ief immobilized ph gradients of 4-7 and final voltage of 8000 v. the proteins were identified by the bioinformatic analysis of the 2de gels with the pdquest program (pdquest 7.2 (biorad?) and maldi-tof.

Abstract: this study describes which antigens of fasciola hepatica are present in the feces of patients with chronic fascioliasis and in the feces of rats infected experimentally with f. hepatica metacercariae. using a western blot assay technique with hyperimmune serum obtained from excretory-secretory antigens of adult f. hepatica, we found in the patients' feces antigens of possible diagnostic interest, with molecular weights of 14, 19, 20, 23, 25, 32, 46, 51, and 62 kilodaltons (kda). in addition, we showed that the peptides of 14, 20, 23, and 51 kda are also recognized by the majority of the sera from chronic patients. we used affinity chromatography to purify the antigens present in the feces of rats that had been infected for 6 to 12 weeks, using es78 monoclonal antibody bound to cnbr-activated sepharose 4b. through that approach, we identified six polypeptides, of 11, 14, 26, 32, 47, and 51 kda; three more polypeptides, of 17, 24, and 66 kda, could only be identified in the feces of rats that had been infected for 10 to 12 weeks. our results suggest that these polypeptides could be antigens common to both parasitic stages. this is particularly true for the polypeptides of 14, 24, 26, and 51 kda, because they reacted with the immune sera, the human sera, and the es78 monoclonal antibody. these polypeptides could be important markers for acute and chronic fascioliasis.

Abstract: taphonomy of the gastropod cf. donaldina robusta heterobranchia: streptacididae) from the middle pennsylvanian, la joya formation, sonora, mexico. gastropods are an important component in most of the fossil record; however, investigations have focused mainly on the characterization of the tafofacies and signatures in determined environments. we present qualitative and quantitative taphonomic data for the gastropod cf. donaldina robusta assemblages from the la joya formation of the sierra agua verde, sonora state, (nw) mexico. we analyzed 176 shells. good preservation received a high taphonomic grade (a) and poor preservation a d. the shells were complete in 72% of cases (taphonomic grade b). less than 10% are corroded or are parallel to the layer (grade a). this rock is petrographycally classified as wackestone, sedimentologically it is characterized by middle sorting (grade b) and low grading (grade a). the fossiliferous assemblage grades as a and b. biostratinomic features of the skeletal assemblage are characteristic of sedimentologic concentrations of autochthonous-parautochthonous elements at the accumulation site. there was minimal reworking and transport in an environment of low energy, locally produced during a short period of accumulation. rev. biol. trop. 58 (1): 183-194. epub 2010 march 01.

Abstract: the diagnosis of ovine fascioliasis hepatica is presented by a sandwich elisa with the use of monoclonal antibody es78 previously reported for the diagnosis of bovine fascioliasis. the assay was applied to faeces of 40 sheeps infected with fasciola hepatica, 88 sheeps with other parasitary infections tested by coproparasitology and 100 caprologically negative animals. antigens of excretion-secretion of fasciola hepatica were detected in 38 of the 40 sheeps with fascioliasis and in none of the negative animals or with other parasitosis. the results show that es78 sandwich elisa, as in bovines, is fast, simple and useful for the diagnosis of the active infection caused by fasciola hepatica among ovines.

Taphonomy of the gastropod cf.
