Caycedo Espine,Claudia Consuelo; Ballesteros de Valderrama,Blanca Patricia; Novoa Gómez,Mónica María;
Universitas Psychologica , 2008,
Abstract: we describe the validation process of a case formulation protocol, based on the theoretical perspective of behavior analysis, in order to contribute to the development of a case formulation model aimed to organize the information coming from evaluation, to reduce clinical judgment bias, and to orient the clinical intervention towards a coherent and consistent way with the analysis categories belonging to the field of psychological wellbeing. validity was defined as a function of the use of a single case design with a time series methodology and the internal validity of the formulations, based on criteria of consistency among the categories and the descriptive and explicative hypotheses, and among these and the intervention plan. the clinical formulation process was finished with six cases, taking the intervention efficacy as the validity criterion. results point to the high level of inference and hypotheses based on clinical judgment rather than on empirical evidences.

E-Preservation Science , 2010,
Abstract: In this study, we present work on two sculptures producedin the Jesuit Missions in Paraguay in the 18th century. Acombination of analytical techniques was applied for thecharacterization of pigments and plasters. First, cross-sectionsof the samples were examined by optical microscopyand SEM-EDX. Then, application of transmitted FTIR spectroscopyfor selecting samples confirmed the presence ofgypsum (Ca2SO4.2H2O) used as the preparation layer.Copper resinate was identified in one of the sculptures bya combination of FTIR, SEM-EDX and gas chromatography,together with its characteristic colour as obser ved in thecross-sections of the samples. The red pigments were identifiedas vermilion, hematite and minium, together with theorganic pigment madder lake identified by HPLC-DAD in oneof the sculptures. All these chemical results become moresignificant and relevant when we considered them in lightof the results obtained from research on historical documentsand old treatises used in the region.

Abstract: the study of tactics for the root-knot nematode management in vegetable production under crop protected systems has been increased in cuba in the last decade. the main goal of this work was to assess the relationship of ecomic?, a commercial product containing several mycorrhizal fungi, and a cuban population of meloidogyne incognita in tomato (lycopersicon esculentum mill var. vyta). the experiment was carried out in a green house at censa using a completely randomized design. ecomica was inoculated by seed pelleting or mixed with the seedbed substrate. the nematode dose used was 1.5 egg-j2. g soil-1. gall index, infective juveniles in soil and root weight were evaluated. the percentage of colonization, the visual density and the mycellial weight were also estimated. ecomica was shown to benefit root development despite the high value of the gall index (gi=4) in the inoculated plants. root development was lower in the untreated plants with a gi=5. a decreased number of infective juveniles was observed in the soil with mycorrhized plants. the micorrhizal colonization was not affected by nematode establishment.

Gladius , 2002, DOI: 10.3989/gladius.2002.54
Abstract: This paper deals with the technological study of a new Late Bronce Age hoard found in Puertollano (Ciudad Real). This hoard is a singular found in the context of Iberian Peninsula due to the number of items (14 swords and daggers and 1 fragment of ferrule) and all of them are weapons. Elemental analysis by PIXE shows a Copper-Tin alloy with very low impurity pattern. A general comment about the real use of this weapons is included.

Universitas Psychologica , 2003,
Abstract: The aim of this quasiexperimental research of single case with n replications was to evaluate a psychologicalintervention with emphasis on sexuality and marital communication for women diagnosed withcervical cancer under treatment. Four women patients of the Javeriano Oncology Centre participatedvoluntarily. The instrument was a semi-structured interview validate by experts judgement and wasapplied individually in order to collect relevant and pertinent data according to the objectives. Based onthe information from the interview special patient’s needs were detected which guided the selection ofthe intervention program contents. Intervention was applied and evaluated in different moments, as isrequired to decrease threatens to internal validity (Kazdin 2001). The intervention program consistedof three-session psycho-educational workshop with pre-post-test measures specially designed for eachoccasion. Evaluations were applied immediately after each session, 15 days after, 30 days after the lastsession. Results were presented graphically and in tables and were analysed descriptively without statisticsthrough categories derived from the answers. The intervention effectivity was demonstrated in positivechanges in each participant, especially in general information and beliefs; there were changes respect tosexuality favourable to couple relation, however some deficits in communication and sexual relationpersisted. Practical and theoretical implications were analysed in different moments during the research.
