Cruising tourism Novi Sad and Belgrade residents' experience analyze

Abstract: The subject of this paper are previous nautical experiences of the local population of Novi Sad and Belgrade. The aim of this paper is to determine how local population (who has already cruised, but as well as those who have not) is experiencing our country in terms of cruises. The research was based on conducting interviews with local people in Novi Sad and Belgrade. Interviews with a structured questionnaire, were performed from March to June 2010 with the task to determine past and potential cruise destinations, as well as attitudes about the potentials of Serbia in terms of nautical tourism. The importance of this paper is primarily based on the enrichment of knowledge on the segment of tourism that is the subject of this paper. Obtained results may help further studies of the causal link between cruises and experiences of local population in nautical tourism. Tourist valorization of roman imperial city Felix Romuliana

Abstract: The tourism industry is a great potential for the development of Serbia. The main characteristics of the existing and potential tourist offer of Serbia are interesting and diverse natural resources and cultural and historical heritage. Felix Romuliana, established palace of the Roman emperor Galerius, is located in the valley of the Black Timok, near Zaje ar and the village of Gamzigrad in eastern Serbia. The palace was built in the late third and early fourth century, as a testamentary construction. This is where the Roman emperor was buried and included among the gods. It is the best preserved example of Roman palatial architecture which in 2007 was added to the List of World Heritage of UNESCO. One of the key tasks of this paper is to point out ways of promoting and popularizing this tourism potential that can be used as a resource for the development of cultural tourism and as such strengthen the position of Serbia''s tourist offer in Europe. The aim of this paper is contained in the presentation of the site Felix Romuliana and extraction of the most important attractiveness through valorization, which on the bases of historical and cultural significance may be activated for tourism purposes. The use of Geothermal Energy Resources in the Tourism Industry of Vojvodina (Northern Serbia)

Abstract: Exploitation of geothermal energy in Vojvodina is still at an unjustly low level taking into account the abundance of resource locations, some of which are ranked among the most affluent in Europe. Moreover, development of geothermal exploitation started in Serbia at about the same time as in other countries whose geothermal energy facilities are now at the highest technological level and which are leaders in this field. The largest use of geothermal energy in Vojvodina is present in the non-energetic area, especially in spas and sports–recreational centers. Other, seasonal consumers of geothermal energy are from the field of industry and agricultural production where the energy is used for heating of cattle and poultry farms, greenhouses and other facilities. However these consumers use only a small portion of available geothermal resources. The main users are those from the tourism industry. The goal of this paper is to give an overview and an analysis of the use of geothermal energy resources, mainly geothermal waters, in the tourism industry of Vojvodina. It shows how these resources are used and also for what are they used by the tourism industry. The paper covers only geothermal resources that are currently being used by the tourism industry. The potential for future usage in this area is also briefly discussed

Abstract: The present paper contributes to the modeling of unsteady flow analysis of vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT). Double multiple streamtube (DSMT) model was applied for the performance prediction of straight bladed fixed pitch VAWT using NACA0018 airfoil at low wind speed. A moving mesh technique was used to investigate two-dimensional unsteady flow around the same VAWT model with NACA0018 airfoil modified to be flexible at 150 from the main blade axis of the turbine at the trailing edge located about 70 % of the blade chord length using fluent solving Reynolds average Navier-strokes equation. The results obtained from DMST model and the simulation results were then compared. The result shows that the CFD simulation with airfoil modified has shown better performance at low tip speed ratios for the modeled turbine.

Abstract: The study of this paper is to show the effect of modified airfoil at the trailing edge on self starting of vertical axis wind turbine at low tip speed ratios using computational fluid dynamic analysis. A moving mesh technique was used to investigate two dimensional unsteady flow around Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) model using fluent solving Reynolds average Navier-strokes equation. The model was created with airfoil modified from conventional NACA0018 to be flexible at 15° from the main blade axis at the trailing edge located about 70% of the blade chord length. Unsteady numerical simulations of the model were then conducted at low tip speed ratios, 0.1, 0.25, 0.75 and 1. The steady state performance of the model was also conducted at three different orientations of the airfoils using different wind speeds. The Simulation results were then compared to cambered airfoil NACA2415 which is self starting. The Simulation result shows that the modified airfoil has shown better self- starting performance both in unsteady and steady flow condition for the modeled turbine.
Effect of Camber Airfoil on Self Starting of Vertical Axis Wind Turbine

Abstract: Darrieus type Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) is attracting many researches for its inherent advantages and its diversified applications. However, a disadvantage is when the rotor is stationary; no net rotational force arises, even at high wind speed. The objective of this study is to show the effect of camper airfoil on self starting of VAWT at low Reynolds. A moving mesh technique was used to investigate two-dimensional unsteady flow around a vertical axis wind turbine. The geometry of the turbine blade was NACA2415 camber airfoil. The turbine model was created in Gambit modeling software and then read into fluent software for fluid flow analysis. Simulations of the model were then conducted for different tip speed ratios. The simulation result shows that camber airfoils have the potential to self start for the modeled airfoil with reduced coefficient of power.
On excesses of frames

Abstract: We show that any two frames in a separable Hilbert space that are dual to each other have the same excess. Some new relations for the analysis resp. synthesis operators of dual frames are also derived. We then prove that pseudo-dual frames and, in particular, approximately dual frames have the same excess. We also discuss various results on frames in which excesses of frames play an important role.
Finite extensions of Bessel sequences

Abstract: The paper studies finite extensions of Bessel sequences in infinite-dimensional Hilbert spaces. We provide a characterization of Bessel sequences that can be extended to frames by adding finitely many vectors. We also characterize frames that can be converted to Parseval frames by finite-dimensional perturbations. Finally, some results on excesses of frames and near-Riesz bases are derived.
Health promotion and health education: Theory and practice

Abstract: Background. Since health promotion and health education are developing concepts around the world, the purpose of this paper was to compare theory and practice, at certain point in time in various countries. Methods. Data were collected using the structured direct interview. We approached 16 participants at the XVI World Conference on Health Promotion and Education. The responses of 11 participants were analyzed. Results. Health promotion is a separate profession in 4 out of 11 countries. Physicians are responsible for health promotion and education in all 11 countries. School was identified as a health promotion setting in all 11 countries, while community and hospital in 10. The Ottawa Charter (1986) guided the definition of health promotion for all participants, while 7 participants defined health promotion and health education differently. Conclusion. Unified definition of terms may allow similar practice at the international level; comprehensive approach to health includes all aspects of health, determinants, settings and practitioners; there occurs the need for health education as a separate profession globally.
