Abstract: this essay examines the process of "governmentalization" of the state and its consequences for the its own community. based on genealogic works and contemporary studies, an attempt is made at mapping some ways in which mechanisms for control and regulation of populations are begin re-created and re-organized, renewing the normalizing ability of the state domain. the analysis points out the move of contemporary government into the territory of immaterial labor within public service when it articulates the use of new telematic technologies with the production of subjectivities which "desire" control.

Mamíferos e aves como instrumentos de educa??o e conserva??o ambiental em corredores de biodiversidade do Cerrado, Brasil
Benites,Maristela; Mamede,Simone B.;
Mastozoolog?-a neotropical , 2008,
Abstract: this work intends to respond to one of the proposals suggested in the sustainable participative planning of environmental education of the municípios do corredor de biodiversidade emas-taquari, project that is integrated to the biodiversity corridor cerrado-pantanal. this biodiversity corridor emas-taquari, located in the cerrado region, comprises 8 townships and its nuclei areas are both the parque nacional das emas and the parque estadual das nascentes do rio taquari. the community represented in the planning requested a training course and orientation about mammals and birds present in the region. that was how the biodiversity watcher groups (grupos de observa??o de biodiversidade, gob) were created with the following objectives: to help the community to know, to recognize and to valorize the mammal and bird species that are present in their region, turning them into conservation tools for environmental education; to associate researches, geoprocessment informations and environmental education; to encourage the regional ecotourism; and to permit the community to feel part of the local biodiversity. thirty-one people were trained in serranópolis and mineiros townships, located in the cerrado region. they found 32 mammal species and many birds. some mammals observed are endangered species present in official lists (e.g., myrmecophaga tridactyla, panthera onca, puma concolor, chrysocyon brachyurus, and others). the wild animals that were watched represent the local biodiversity, which contributes to environmental education and to conservation, and enhances the potential for the regional ecotourism.

Benites, Daniela;Gomes, William B.;
Psico-USF , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-82712007000100006
Abstract: memory failures are common in daily life. however, these failures could indicate cognitive problems, mainly in elders. this study presents the translation and adaptation of the prospective and retrospective memory questionnaire (prmq) to portuguese. the questionnaire measures prospective and retrospective self-report memory failures through 16 items. there were 642 participants aged between 16 and 81 years recruited in a university and in community groups. the exploratory factor analysis revealed the construct validity only for eight items. so, it was reconsidered two of the original 16 items that showed acceptable factorial load and tested a questionnaire of 10 items. convergent and concurrent validity was tested in a sample of 38 participants aged around 69 years, through the elders' subjective perception of memory complaints questionnaire (mac-q). as a result the reduced prmq with 10 items showed both validity and confidence (a = 0,80). at this point the questionnaire seems promising for research using.
