Bellato, Roseney;Pereira, Wilza Rocha;
Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S0034-71672003000100013
Abstract: in this article we intended to write an essay about the subjective questions that are at stake in the management of health care services by the nurse. so, we looked for elements in some of the studies developed about planning and administration, in the sociology of daily life and also in the feminist theorization, related to health care management. we concluded that there is a need to improve the nurse's potentiality as a manager, starting with the referred theoretical perspectives, increasing the value of some aspects and feelings that have not been taken into consideration up to now in the time-space of health institutions, such as subjectivity, relationality, desire, creativity, responsibility, among others.

Texto & Contexto - Enfermagem , 2004, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-07072004000500002
Abstract: we tried to analyze the relation between the precariousness of the physical environment and the increase in the risk for hospital infection in a public health institution, having as a theoretical horizon, some implications in relation to ethical, rights and citizenship aspects. the data was obtained through a systematic observation form for physical space. data interpretation was conducted in a qualitative manner, based on some guidelines and norms for hospital institutions laid out by the health ministry. the conclusions point to the fact that the more fragile the status of a group within the hospital, the more susceptible it is to have its space become precarious and, consequently, have increased risk for infections, due to this state of precariousness. but we understand that the sensibility of the technical team and of the most vulnerable group is possible, represented by clients of these services, increasing its potential for analyses and intervention in the questions here pointed out and, up to now, very seldom considered as problems

Bellato, Roseney;Pereira, Wilza Rocha;
Texto & Contexto - Enfermagem , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-07072005000100002
Abstract: in this article it was our objective to problematize the socio-economic privations of the users of a public health service as one of the precarization conditioners of the attendance to their rights to health. within that perspective, we worked with the idea of rights and vulnerability, starting from the viewpoint that there are new notions to be incorporated so that nursing may think her praxis having the user as a partner in the claiming for better work conditions. so, we think that nursing is one of the health professional categories that shelters within herself the greatest possibilities of sensitivity increase in relation to the notion of vulnerability of the user under her care, because many of their components are also users of the public health services and suffer the same constraints that the great majority of users. so, we conclude that when trying to aggregate efforts and create synergies among users and workers, it becomes possible to create a context that is more in favor of the development of better conditions of work in the studied public health services.

Bellato, Roseney;Pereira, Wilza Rocha;
Texto & Contexto - Enfermagem , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-07072006000100002
Abstract: the aim of this study was to point out the current potential of the researched group concerning its competence in promoting innovative nursing care in the work environment. the theoretical basis adopted to analyze the data was the institutional analysis in the case explained by baremblitt. in order to collect data we adopted the semi-structured interview applied to nine nursing workers and afterwards, we organized two focus groups for discussion to develop the data collected from the interviews. the criterion for inclusion of the individuals in the research was to have had themselves or their close relatives as inpatients in the same work place. as a result, it has been shown that the analyzed group of nursing workers is likely to undermine the culture of subservience present in nursing, therefore creating the culture of solidarity. it is highly capable of generating productive revolutionary-desiring attitudes, which are the prime conditions for the emergence of innovative nursing care and humane practice in the analyzed service.

Texto & Contexto - Enfermagem , 2006,
Wilza Pereira Rocha,Roseney Bellato
Texto & Contexto - Enfermagem , 2004,

O jogo existencial e a ritualiza??o da morte
Bellato, Roseney;Carvalho, Emília Campos de;
Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-11692005000100016
Abstract: this reflection approaches the fear of death that has accompanied human existence from its dawn. humans are the only living beings who know about death, which makes them anticipate this fear by turning it into a companion for life. in order to reduce this "deadly anguish", mankind has had to negotiate with death over time, as a way of confronting this fear. this understanding becomes important since we are nursing professionals who, in our daily work, deliver care to the human being in the process of dying.
Bellato, Roseney;Gaíva, Maria Aparecida Munhoz;
Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S0034-71672003000400026
Abstract: based on our experience as nursing professors, we wish, by means of this reflection, to urge a discussion on nursing professional training, following guidelines as ethics, human rights, and citizenship. we understand health is a human value which elicits further values, and the challenges we face in this area are not of a moral kind, like choosing between good and evil - they are ethical dilemmas, stemming from the wide range of contradictory imperatives that are at stake within this scenario. it is paramount, therefore, to promote the professional training of competent nurses so that they can think critically about fundamental issues arising in their daily practice, and act according to ethics and citizenship values.
