Psychology (PSYCH) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2016.76085
Abstract:

This study addressed the psychometric properties of the Children’s Social Skills Test (THAS-C). Results were divided into two parts. Initial studies investigated 257 children attending Grades 2 to 4 in public schools of two cities in the countryside of the state of São Paulo. Study 2 assessed 1381 children and adolescents aged 7 to 15 years from public and private schools in cities located in the countryside of the state of São Paulo. Infit and outfit indexes showed adequate fit for both items and people. A progression analysis using Rasch measurement model showed greater people’s ability in function of response categories. On the other hand, the outfit index suggested good fit in all categories. These data show relevance for the structure of three analysis categories. Few items showed DIF. Precision data obtained with these two methods showed satisfactory indexes. These data enable validity evidences based on the internal structure. Such findings may facilitate the assessment process and planning of interventions that are more focused on individual needs.

Bartholomeu, Daniel;Sisto, Fermino Fernandes;
Psicologia: Ciência e Profiss?o , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S1414-98932008000200011
Abstract: this study investigated the relationship between intelligence and the visual-motor maturity. dfh- sisto scale and the test of bender by the gradual punctuation system (b-spg) had been collectively administered to 244 students (50% boys) whose ages ranged from 7 to 10 years, eight years average (dp=1,08) and who attended from the first to the fourth grade of an elementary public school of the interior of the state of s?o paulo. the figures of the bender test were projected to the blackboard so that they could be copied by the children. negative and significant correlations between the scores of both tests in relation to genders and ages were formed. it was concluded that the gestaltic test gives an estimation of the intellectual capacity of children.

Revista Brasileira de Engenharia Agrícola e Ambiental , 2000, DOI: 10.1590/S1415-43662000000200023
Abstract: wood has always been an important material for the civil construction industry and for furniture manufactures. nevertheless, brazil has been roted for its indiscriminate deforestation and lack of preoccupation in preservation and reclamation of the native species. the reason for this deforestation is due to several factors, among them the lack of technology in the wood industry. on top of that, the lack of knowledge of the material properties induce the users to utilise always the same species until its exhaustion. to remedy this it is necessary to promote the use of reforestation wood. the challenge is to know its characteristics and applications. the proposition of this work was to evaluate the ultrasonic methodology as a way to determine the mechanical properties of reforestation wood for classification purposes. the correlation between the results obtained in bending static tests in ultrasonic tests, using eucalyptus citriodora and pinus elliotti was verified. the results show that this methodology can be used in evaluation of structural pieces and indicate the viability of this method for wood classification.
