Abstract: This paper analyzes some helmets kept at the Museo Arqueológico Nacional in Madrid. They come from Celtiberian cemeteries at Aguilar de Anguita (province of Guadalajara), Alpanseque and Almaluez (both in Soria). The first two were excavated by D. Enrique de Aguilera y Gamboa, marquis de Cerralbo, and the third by D. Blas de Taracena. The helmets were studied and drawn in ideal reconstruction by D. Juan Cabré, whose designs have been used by later scholars. In this paper we show and draw the helmets in their actual state of preservation, some of them heavily damaged. However, we’ll de able to show that the Aguilar de Anguita type follows an etrusco-italic type with peculiar cheekpieces that is in itself a modification of East Mediterranean types. The other helmets are basically conical in shape, with an altogether different handycraft and decoration, and belong to a Centroeuropean model, also modified in the Italian Peninsula.

Abstract: proliferation of the normal thyroid cell is regulated by stimulatory and inhibitory growth factors acting through their cognate cell surface receptors and subsequently through intracellular transduction pathways. in the normal adult gland, the balance of signals is such that proliferation is negligible. in the neoplastic cells, growth results from an irreversible disturbance of this equilibrium. despite the apparent diversity of potential signal molecules that might theoretically be involved, it seems that only a small subset is capable of engendering tumor growth and is, therefore, selected in human thyroid neoplasia. such proteins are coded for by genes ras, ret, ntrk1 and tp53. the signal transducer ras is activated by point mutation and constitutes an early genetic alteration in tumors displaying a follicular histology. the genetic mechanisms for activation of growth factor receptor genes ret and ntrk1 are translocations or inversions in the papillary carcinomas and point mutations in the medullary carcinomas. alterations of tp53 gene are reported in poorly differentiated and in most undifferentiated thyroid carcinomas suggesting that tp53 deregulation can play a significant role in the mechanism of dedifferentiation and progression of the disease. although incomplete, the molecular model of thyroid carcinogenesis provides relevant tools for a better differential diagnosis and for the development of novel therapeutic avenues for such group of neoplasias.

Estudios y perspectivas en turismo , 2007,
Abstract: this paper attempts a critical review of the relationship between the wine business and tourism in order to draw lessons for chile. at first, different case studies on wine tourism based on french, spanish and australian experiences are discussed. this provides a framework for the outline of chilean wine routes, which are discussed, based on the results of a recent study. the potential of the said routes is explored and finally a contribution towards brand loyalty formation is made. theoretical gaps are identified and specific needs for entrepreneurs and researchers on wine and in tourism are outlined.

Abstract: the success of tourism is usually measured from flows of visitors. nevertheless, evidence suggests that the rates of those flows may become for sun and sea tourism, both a blessing as well as a curse in terms of sustainability. for this particular reason, an explanation about the current growth conditions and future dynamics of tourist activity is necessary and crucial in relation to the sustainability of tourists flow. this article is based on the story of two nearby counties located in the chilean coast of maule region: constitución and licantén. this is a case of frustrated tourist development, one for the lack of and another one for the excess of tourists. the methodology of the study is based on a bibliographical and two stages market research: a qualitative exploratory study and a descriptive study, where main endogenous barriers for sustainable tourist development are identified. here a comparative case study is reported, under similar initial conditions, but with contradicting results, and where the sustainability is compromised. then the flow of visitors as a sole indicator can be ineffective for assessing a sustainable outcome of tourism.

The success of tourism is usually measured from flows of visitors.
This paper attempts a critical review of the relationship between the wine business and tourism in order to draw lessons for Chile. At first, different case studies on wine tourism based on French, Spanish and Australian experiences are discussed. Trabajos de Prehistoria , 1995,
Abstract: This article deals with the study of a circular bronze plate wilh silver damascene work, from the Celtiberian cemetery of Aguilar de Anguila (Guadalajara), exhibited in the M.A.N. The aim is to trace the extent and origin of these kinds of objects in the Meseta. A study of the decorative structure is also made, in order to determine the importance of this piece from a social and ideological point of view, not only as a social prestigious object but also as a part of the grave goods in the tomb.
