International Research Journal of Pharmacy , 2013, DOI: .7897/2230-8407.04325
Abstract: Infertility as a medical and social problem has acquired global dimensions and its incidence is supposed to be gradually increasing by every decade. Despite great advances made by medical science in understanding each stage of the reproductive process, the problems that occur at each step and planning their management, some arenas post lacunae, due to which infertility is still a catastrophe. One such arena is the role of Oligozoospermia in male infertility and its management. The present study was undertaken to understand the role of Apatyakara Ghrita (an Ayurvedic formulation) in male infertility i.e. Oligozoospermia. Individuals (N = 20), whose semen sample was having low sperm count < 20 millions/ml and motility < 50% SLP, < 25% RLP (WHO1992) were selected from the O.P.D. The selected patients were given Apatyakara Ghrita - 10 g twice a day with lukewarm milk for 90 days. After analyzing semen reports before and after treatment, suggested a definite role of Apatyakara Ghrita to treat infertility related with oligozoospermia. Treatment resulted 71.14% increase in sperm count which is statistically highly significant [p<0.001], improved level motility by 79.05% [p<0.001] and improved overall semen quality in a significant number of individuals. There was an increase in sexual desire by 87.87% in patient which is statistically shows highly significant results. The penile erectile function was improved by 71.79% [p<0.001] in registered patient which shows highly significant results. There was 23.08% relief in Night emission and post act exhaustion was improved by 43.10%. There is relief of 54.54% in dyspnoea on effort and 60.52% [p<0.001] in pain after and during coitus which statistically highly significant.

Abstract: Ayurved, the science of life deals with every aspect of life and Vajikarana is one of its eight branches being practiced since time immemorial. Ayurveda has two aims i.e. protection and promotion of health and secondly cure from diseases. Vajikarana may be employed for fulfilling both of them i.e. promotion of sexual health and curing the sexual diseases. Sexuality and reproduction are so vital in Ayurveda that an entire discipline, known as Vajikarana, is dedicated to enhancing fertility and rejuvenating sexual and reproductive energy. Vajikarana deals with the preservation and amplification of sexual potency of a healthy man and conception of healthy progeny as well as management of defective semen, disturbed sexual potency and spermatogenesis along with treatment of seminal related disorders in man. Vajikarana promotes the sexual capacity and performance as well as improves the physical, psychological and social health of an individual. Factually the Vajikarana is not exactly aphrodisiac but the current connotational meaning is same. Vajikarana therapy may minimize occurrence of congenital disorders besides it may also boost the genetic constitution of baby. Sexual intercourse commonly plays a strong role in human bonding, usually being used solely for pleasure and often leading to stronger emotional bonds.

Abstract: Honey is the name given to the sweet, yellowish liquid that is produced by honey bees. Bee's honey is one of the most valued and appreciated natural substances known to mankind since ancient times. The medicinal properties of honey have been known since ancient times. There are many types of bee's honey mentioned in Ayurveda. Their effects differ and 'Makshika' is considered medicinally the best. According to Modern scientific view, the best bee's honey is made by Apis mellifera Capensis. The aim of this study is to emphasize the importance of bee's honey and its multitude of medicinal, cosmetic and general values. Synonyms, constitution, properties and the uses of bee's honey are gathered from text books, traditional and Ayurvedic physicians and from few search engines. Honey has been useful in the treatment of surgical wounds, burns, and decubitus ulcers, eye diseases, throat infections, Tamak Shwas (Bronchial asthma), tuberculosis, hiccups, thirst, dizziness, fatigue, hepatitis, Krimi (Worm infestation, ) constipation, Arsha (piles), eczema and the antibacterial and antifungal properties of honey have been well documented. It is used as a nutritious, easily digestible food for weak people. It promotes semen and mental health. Aged honey is used to treat vomiting, diarrhea, rheumatoid arthritis, obesity and diabetes mellitus. Honey is highly popular in cosmetic treatment.

The Effect of Micro-Structure on Fatigue Behaviour of Intact Sandstone  [PDF]
Manoj N. Bagde, Vladimir Petro?
International Journal of Geosciences (IJG) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/ijg.2011.23026
Abstract: With advent of servo-controlled stiff testing machines, it is now possible to conduct tests on a rock in the laboratory under different variable controlled conditions. In this paper, cyclic fatigue behaviour of intact sandstone obtained from the rock burst prone coal mine in the Czech Republic were presented. Tests were conducted on MTS- 816 rock test system in the laboratory on intact rock samples of L/D ratio 2 under cyclic loading frequency of 0.1, 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10 Hz at amplitude of 0.1 mm under displacement control mode until failure of the samples in uni-axial compression. From, the primary results it was observed that at low loading frequency range of 0.1 to 3 Hz, there was degradation of the rock samples in terms of fatigue strength and modulus. While, at higher frequency rose-up in strength and deformation properties were observed. It was observed that the machine behaviour in terms of amplitude at higher loading frequencies might be affecting the results. It seemed that machine behaviour of servo-hydraulic testing system was also dependent on rock type under investigation.
A Review on FEM Analysis of Mandibular Overdenture Implant

International Journal of Innovative Research in Science, Engineering and Technology , 2013,
Abstract: Various types of attachment techniques are available for overdenture implants. The design of removable overdenture for good retention & stability is difficult. This paper reviews various concepts involved in overdenture implant design and their comparison. It is seen that many treatment concepts involving mandibular overdenture are based on empirical experiences of individual. Clinicians often base their selection of implant location and attachment systems empirically on expected retentive quality. Various location methods are presented along with a comparison of Monovum i.e. single implant overdenture with other types of attachments.
Incidence of gastrointestinal parasitism of captive wild pigeons at Nagpur

Veterinary World , 2009,
Abstract: Present study was planned to investigate the helminthic infection in captive wild pigeons (Columba livia) at Maharajbagh Zoo Nagpur. All the 30 samples examined were found positive either with single or mixed helminthic infections. The result showed that the incidence of Capillaria sp, Ascaridia sp and Hetarakis sp. were 56.66%, 76.66%, 16.66% respectively. Mixed parasitic infection was recorded in around 17 samples with either Ascaridia sp. and Capillaria sp or with Ascaridia sp. and Heterakis sp. One of 30 samples examined were found with the cysts of Balantidium coli. [Vet World 2009; 2(9.000): 343-]

Veterinary World , 2009,
Abstract: Out of 60 Samples of deer from Maharajbag Zoo, Nagpur, 30 were positive for eggs and larvae of helminthic parasites. The encountered parasitic species were Haemonchus spp., Dicrocoelium spp., Paramphistomum spp., Oesophagostomum spp. and Bunostomum spp. etc. Direct smear method together with sedimentation technique were used for the purpose. COEXISTENCE OF TUBERCULOSIS AND CARCINOMA IN UTERINE CERVIX - A CASE REPORT
Surekha Tayade,Madhuri Bagde
International Journal of Biomedical and Advance Research , 2012, DOI: 10.7439/ijbar.v3i7.521
Abstract: Coexistence of carcinoma and tuberculosis of uterine cervix is rare. As the clinical presentation of both the entities is same, proper histo - pathological evaluation is needed to diagnose a simultaneous occurrence or a mere resemblance of one to the other. Immunosuppressive states may propagate the existence of the two together. However, whether tuberculosis, a chronic inflammatory condition facilitates carcinogenesis is yet to be determined.
