Glasnik Srpskog Geografskog Dru?tva , 2012, DOI: 10.2298/gsgd1204051b
Abstract: This research aims to describe the analysis of geoinformation technologies and systems and its usage in detection of terrain slope with reference to timely detection and mapping sites with a high risk of slope movement and activation of landslides. Special attention is referred to the remote sensing technology and data acquisition. In addition to acquisition, data processing is performed: the production of digital terrain model, calculating of the vegetation index NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) based on satellite image and analyses of pedology maps. The procedures of processing the satellite images in order to identify locations of high risk of slope processes are described. Several factors and identifiers are analyzed and used as input values in automatic processing which is performed through a unique algorithm. Research results are presented in raster format. The direction of further research is briefly defined. [Projekat Ministarstva nauke Republike Srbije, br. Natural Science (NS) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ns.2013.57100

The cerebellum has been classically considered as the subcortical center for motor control. However, accumulating experimental evidence has revealed that it also plays an important role in cognition, for instance, in learning and memory, as well as in emotional behavior and nonsomatic activities, such as visceral and immunological responses.

Abstract: Handball is a very popular game all over the world and in SCG as well. Popularity of this game stems from successful play of our male and female handball national team on European, World Competition and on Olympic games.Technically and tactically this game more and more resembles the male handball. The process of training is close to the very edge of female abilities, so we have dynamic game full of duel, long shots and spectacular goals. The aim of this research is to confirm differences of developing characteristics and state of nutrition of male and female handball players at our national competition. The research encircled 20 male and 20 female handball players, members of handball club RK elezni ar" and RK DIN" from Ni .The results show that the average height of male handball players is 190,64 cm and that body mass comes to 96,60 kg. Average height of female handball players is 173, 53 cm, and body mass is 64,81 kg. The difference between male and female height is 17 cm, and difference in body mass between male and female team is 32 kg.

Introduction: Adaptation to changes that occur with diabetes mellitus is often accompanied by a variety of negative emotional responses, including anger, guilt, frustration, denial, and loneliness. Objective: The aim of this study was to assess psychological domain of quality of life for people with diabetes mellitus in relation to some of the socio-demographic variables. Methods: The study included 150 patients with diabetes mellitus from October 2011 until June 2012 year, using the questionnaire for quality of life of the World Health Organization (WHOQOL-BREF). Results: Mean score for psychological health domain was 56.28 (± 14.88), without statistically significant difference in relation to sex and with a statistic significant difference decreased with increasing of age (F = 6.715, p = 0.000) and increased with the level of education (F = 7.958, p = 0.000). Negative emotions, such as blue mood, despair, anxiety, depression were present in almost 1/2 of the respondents, “often” (32.7%), “very often” (11.3%) and “always” (4.0%) without statistically significant difference in relation to gender, age and level of education. Discussion: Mean scores for psychological health domain were lower in older and less educated patients. Conclusion: Negative feelings were present in all patients indicating the need for preventive action to soften and reduce these negative feelings.

Creso y Solón en el espejo de la Atlántida platónica
Synthesis (La Plata) , 2007,
Abstract: the influence of herodotus and his histories in both accounts of the platonic atlantis (in timaeus and in critias ) has been largely remarked. however, it has not been specifically pointed out the way in which the story of croesus in herodotus (and precisely, the way in which the character of solon is built) influences plato's own story of atlantis. we will follow the character of solon looking forward to establish new conclusions about the status of the platonic tale, about its literary genre and about its relation to philosophy and history in plato.

Praxis Filosófica , 2009,
Abstract: departing from an analysis of the way in which herodotus reflects on prosperity and fall in his croesus lógos, this article seeks to show some links between this story and plato's tale of the rise and fall of atlantis, a brilliant fable about the corruption and decay of the political community. i will try to show up to what extent the cause of the fall of the powerful and desappeared island lays in its inhabitants gradual disregard of phrónesis. i will try to contribute in this way -secondarily-to reinforce, with new hypothesis, a certain interpretation about the role played by the atlantis myth in the unity and coherence of the whole platonic project of timaeus-critias dialogues. in these pages, i will first analyze (section 2) the crucial difference between herodotus conception of prosperity and the one shown by archaic poets. second, (section 3), i will analyze the more superficial and the more deep influences of herodotus conception in the platonic making of his atlantis myth. i will try to show the strategic presence, both in timaeus and critias, of the references to phrónesis. then, i will try (section 4) to confirm the influence of herodotus in plato, looking at the narrative construction of the characteres of solon and above all of croesus. finally (section 5) i will offer some hypothesis about the reasons plato might have had to finish his own tale sinking not only the decadent atlantis, but also the victorious athens.
