Abstract: The emergence in the field of physics of complex phenomena during the second half of the twentieth century brought about ontological, heuristic and methodological transformations through main fields of knowledge, leading to the emergence of what has been coined as sciences of complexity. This name referrers to a process and not to a determined finished and static reality. It consists not only of the accumulation of conceptual and methodological developments, but also of the way in which it is performed in each specific discipline and the way in which it manifests itself in the common transdisciplinary field shaped by these developments. This article aims at giving an account of the most characteristic features of this renewal, the way it has permeated the economic thinking in the last three decades as well as its main implications on the characteristics of the scientific production, both in conventional economics and heterodox economic thought.

Abstract: background: hip fracture incidence has been estimated in our country over short time periods without evaluating the changes in trend and seasonality over the course of time. this study is aimed at estimating hip fracture incidence in a health district in the autonomous community of valencia throughout a seven-year period (1994-2000), delving into its trend, seasonality and the geographical changes by health districts and whether a rural or urban population is involved. methods: descriptive study of the cases of hf among individuals over 45 years of age. the patients not residing within the district, the pathological fractures and those due to traffic accidents were not included. the time-related and geographical changes in the incidence were estimated by poisson regression. results: the overall incidence of hip fractures among individuals over 45 years of age was 274 cases/100000 inhabitants/year (ci 95% 259-288). the incidence among males was 149 cases/100,000 inhabitants/year; being 383 cases/100,000 inhabitants/ year for females. the time-related distribution show a positive, although non-significant trend, with an average 0.04% monthly increase in the incidence. this trend was greater among males than among females. a clear seasonality, with relatively lower incidences during the spring and summer months, were found to exist. the incidences did not vary significantly among health districts nor by the type of urban or rural population involved. conclusions: hf incidence is similar to although somewhat higher than that of other spanish provinces. a discreet positive trend and a clear seasonality were found, without any significant geographical changes.
Utiles de hueso actuales. Supervivencia de técnicas ancestrales en O ati.
Luxio Ugarte
Munibe Antropologia-Arkeologia , 1987,
A. Ugarte
Nexo , 2010, DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.5377/nexo.v23i1.34
Abstract: The research methodology for seismic risk scenarios modeling in Managua, Nicaragua was carried out by the CENTRAL AMERICA SEISMIC RISK REDUCTION PROJECT (RESIS II) in phase II under the auspices of the center for disaster prevention in Central America (CEPREDENAC) of which the National University of Engineering (UNI) is part. The aforementioned research presents an analysis of the results of actual sismic risk, tectonic and spectral acceleration (PGA) expected in Central America in particular Managua, Nicaragua. A compilation of information is presented as well as examples of the results obtained in the field taken directly from homes in a neighborhood of Managua. Thus, an extrapolation was reached based an data obtained from the property Register in Managua. From a sample of typical homes a classification or typology for each building system was established which was applied to the Nonlinear Method of Analysis of Static Structures (PUSHOVER). Thus, an analysis of the capacity of the structure, relevant to demand, was obtained an therefore, the point of performance which represents the Maximum Structural Displacement to be expected during any given earthquake, reflecting weak points and degree of vulnerability. Finally, a guide to the use of computers was presented using software called Seismic Loss Estimation using a Logic Tree Approach (SELENA). This is designed for research application and to establish a new methodology for Seismic Risk Modeling in Managua.

Hermitian structures on six dimensional nilmanifolds
Luis Ugarte
Mathematics , 2004,
Abstract: Let (J,g) be a Hermitian structure on a compact nilmanifold M with invariant complex structure J and compatible metric g, which is not required to be invariant. We give classifications of 6-dimensional nilmanifolds M admitting strong K\"ahler with torsion, balanced or locally conformal K\"ahler structures (J,g).
Longest Hamiltonian in Nodd-Gon  [PDF]

Open Journal of Discrete Mathematics (OJDM) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ojdm.2013.32015

We single out the polygonal paths of nodd -1 order that solve each of the \"\" different longest non-cyclic Euclidean Hamiltonian path problems in \"\" networks by an arithmetic algorithm. As by product, the procedure determines the winding index of cyclic Hamiltonian polygonals on the vertices of a regular polygon.

Sobre relaciones laborales triangulares: La subcontratación y el suministro de trabajadores
Ugarte Cataldo,José Luis;
Ius et Praxis , 2006, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-00122006000100002
Abstract: the triangular labour relations could basically adopt two modalities: labour subcontracting and the supplying of workers by a temporary company employment. the first refers to a situation where a company, holding a job contract or task hires another company denominated contractor, through a civil or commercial contract so that it can execute on its own account and risk with its own workers, a specified job or service, which later in turn can hire another company, denominated subcontractor so that it can carry out the work or the required service. the second on the other hand consists of a company whose line of business corresponds to the supplying of workers (supplier company or temporary labour) and remains in disposition of another company to do the labour services of its owners for a fixed price, retaining thus the formal quality of an employer. in chile, while the image of the subcontractor dates from antiquity and is regulated in the current legislation, the case of the supplier is different: only in the last years a phenomenon of relevance is presented for the national judicial community in direct relation to the momentary popularity experienced by the so called productive decentralization which is not found, for that matter, recognized in our labor legislation. the regulation of both types of triangular relations is the objective to which the new law of subcontracting is directed: on one hand, for the first time in chile, the image of the supplier of persons through the company of temporary services is recognized and regulated. on the other hand the regulation of the labor subcontractor is improved through new norms about the responsibility of the owner of the task
Hegel: ?más allá del bien y del mal?
Cubo Ugarte,óscar;
Estudios de Filosofía , 2008,
Abstract: with the title of our work we pretend is to research on the problem of liberty in the figure of g. w. f. hegel from an ontological perspective. with this aim in view, we have wanted to separate the moral problem of liberty from its own ontological dimension, especially in the text: the phenomenology of the spirit (that in our days completes its two hundredth anniversary of publication). through this analysis of the problem of liberty in the phenomenology of the spirit, we have also achieved to bring to light the profound familiarity of hegelian thought with other currents thought which are radically genealogist and immoralist, such as nietzsche's and spinoza's.

Abstract: in this work it wil be supported that the incorporation of the privacy to the interior of the labour relation -as consequence of the horizontal effect of the fundamental rights- is a relevant fact for the rights of he workers in general, but the introduction of the privacy of the hand of a dogmatic wide conception -understanding the same one not only as secret but also as right of self-determination- is a significant fact for the society in her set, in all that it invigorates and it increases the pluralism and the social dissent.
