Mazza,Bárbara;
La zaranda de ideas , 2010,
Abstract: the cerro lutz archaeological site, located in the flood plains of southeast of entre ríos, evidences a detailed mortuary record of hunter-gatherer societies of the area. there were found primary and secondary burials in different positions and orientations, differences related to sex and age categories, a continued use of space as a cemetery and an organized distribution of burials. these characteristics classify cerro lutz as a typical formal disposal area, which importance lies in the variety of mortuary practices registered. this work, together with others recently published, reinitiates the systematic analyses of mortuary behaviors in the area

Gabriel Güemes Montero: funcionario ilustrado y vecino respetable
Aramendi,Bárbara M.;
Andes , 2008,
Abstract: men rather than institutions governed during the ancient régime, and networks of relations were a fundamental element of the social capital and action capacity that people could take advantage of. this article reflects on the administrative functioning of the spanish empire through the analysis of the actions of a particular official: gabriel güemes montero. he was sent by the crown to serve as treasurer of the royal finance of the governación del tucumán. the study of güemes' election is an excuse for analysing a broader context. it took place because he was well known and widely recognized in salta society since he was martin miguel de güemes' father. the traditional historiography has exalted his figure and created the image of an extraordinary man and incorruptible professional that has remained up today. however, this paper has a different purpose: to study the career of a spanish bureaucrat and reconstruct the networks he took part of. it allows us to observe the administrative organization from the point of view of interpersonal relations and also to analyze his role of intermediator between the crown's interests and those of the local society.
Maternidade na adolescência: consequências e trajectórias desenvolvimentais
Figueiredo,Bárbara;
Análise Psicológica , 2000,
Abstract: adolescent motherhood constitutes a risk factor to the mother's and child's development, having a negative influence on their developmental pathways. even though, some mothers are able to adapt themselves to having a child in adolescence, and some babies don't suffer from the adverse impact originated from the fact that their mothers are adolescents. in the present article, we described the adverse consequences that can arise from adolescent motherhood, particularly in terms of mother's and child's well being. mother's inadequate behaviour, mainly related to the interaction with the baby and to the caregiving, are also presented, and the circumstances (protective factors and resilience conditions) enabling more adapted developmental trajectories, either for adolescent mother and baby, were analysed.
Risk factors for gastric intestinal metaplasia
Peleteiro,Bárbara;
Arquivos de Medicina , 2006,
Abstract: the infection with helicobacter pylori affects more than 50% of the world adult population, and approximately two thirds of all cases of stomach cancer are attributed to it, but a large proportion of the infected subjects will never develop cancer. gastric carcinogenesis is currently interpreted as a multifactorial and multistage process, with environmental exposures (h. pylori infection and behavioural factors), and genetic susceptibility contributing for the occurrence of cancer. the study of the risk factors for precancerous lesions is a major field of research with potential to clarify the aetiology of gastric cancer, namely through the understanding of the mechanisms that modulate the progression to cancer among the infected.
O discurso do gestor federal no processo de descentraliza??o política: obstáculos à municipaliza??o do SUS
Pellegrini,Bárbara;
Ciência & Saúde Coletiva , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-81232007000200008
Abstract: a discourse analysis carried out on basic operating standard norma operacional básica do sistema único de saúde (nob-sus 01/96) of the brazilian public health care system aiming at locating signs that could allow to identify lines of thought which have influenced health care policies prioritized by the federal administration. the author points out a peculiarity in the kind of discourse employed by the ministry directive: its structure is based on isolated aspects of legislation and on ideas advocated by other discourse communities, articulated with redefined legal principles - an effort towards authorizing the official reasoning in favor of the relevance in keeping the decentralization process under the control of the federal administration. the analysis concludes that an infra-legal standard can neither grant state and federal administrations a hierarchical superiority (mediation function) over municipal administrations, nor can it transfer the legal responsibilities pertaining to health councils over to inter-administration commissions (comiss?es intergestores) , thus making the former mere decision ratifiers. this study found that granting privileges not contemplated in the legislation to state and federal administrations surfaced again and more strongly so in 2001 in yet another operating standard.
Fronteras sociales y asimetrías en la vitivinicultura mendocina actual
Altschuler,Bárbara;
Cuadernos de Desarrollo Rural , 2012,
Abstract: the aim of this paper is to investigate the social and symbolic boundaries of the new winemaking configuration of mendoza, argentina, which resulted from its restructuration and globalization from the nineties onwards. we analyze the tensions and asymmetries that the new model generates, particularly from the perspective of wine producers, based on the so-called "east" of the province, which appears as a subordinate region in the current scenario. our methodological approach combines elements of anthropology and sociology, based on extensive qualitative and quantitative field research and aiming to account for both the views and native categories of actors, and the structural dimensions in which they are inserted. the main results are linked to the increased social-productive vulnerability and the competitive difficulty of small wine producers in the face of new investments, and to the identification of internal borders in the sector, from what we call the quality/quantity tension that runs through it.

?Qué es definir en el Político de Platón?: Para una relectura sobre la búsqueda del conocimiento en la filosofía platónica tardía
Steinman,Bárbara;
Revista latinoamericana de filosof?-a , 2008,
Abstract: this essay analyzes the necessary knowledge process to reach a correct definition of an object, developed by plato in the statesman. starting with the problems found in the search of a definition in the meno, the paper shows that, in his late philosophy, plato reshaped the characteristics of the search that leads to answer properly "what is x". in the statesman, the act of definition becomes a complex process that includes a negative approach to the object. "to say what the object is not" constitutes one of the necessary moments to reach a real definition. this view also implies to move away from the ignorance as a starting point of all kinds of search usually represented in the dialogues by the socratic intransigence.
