Azman ISMAIL,Nurzawani ZAKARIA
International Journal of Business and Management , 2009, DOI: 10.5539/ijbm.v4n3p190
Abstract: This study investigated the effect of pay for performance and interactional justice on job satisfaction using 132 usable questionnaires gathered from employees who have worked in seventeen GIATMARA centers in two states of Malaysia, that are Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (GIATMARAKLS). Outcomes of stepwise regression analysis showed that relationship between interactional justice and pay for performance features (i.e., adequacy of pay and participation in pay systems) positively and significantly correlated with job satisfaction. Further, this result confirms that interactional justice does act as a full mediating variable in the pay for performance models of the organizational sample. In addition, conclusion and implications of this study are elaborated.
Relationship between perceived procedural justice, communication about pay systems and job performance
AZMAN ISMAIL,ADANAN MAT JUNOH
Jurnal Kemanusiaan , 2005,
Abstract: Compensation management literature highlights that communication is used by employers to deliver information about pay systems to employees. Although communication about pay systems is important, its effect on individual’s performance is vague when feelings of procedural justice are present in organizations. Based on this literature, a conceptual framework for this study is developed and tested using data gathered from qualitative (in-depth interview) andquantitative (survey questionnaire) research methods. This study involved a sample of 334 employees from seven Malaysian private institutions of higher learning. The outcome of moderated hierarchical regression analysis shows that the inclusion of procedural justice into analysis increases the effect of communication about paysystems on job performance.
Motivasi latihan sebagai pembolehubah penghubung antara program latihan dan keberkesanan latihan
Azman Ismail,Nurul Inani Ibrahim
Jurnal Kemanusiaan , 2010,
Abstract: Literatur pengrekaan dan pengurusan latihan mengenengahkan bahawa program latihan mempunyai dua elemen utama: latihan berkaitan dengan tugas dan penyediaan rangka latihan.

Abstract: Information Visualization (IV) is a current field that has the potential to develop methods of accessing, processing and managing of information (Chen & Czerwinski, 2000). IV applications are developed as a learning tool due to the technique of IV being capable of improving the understanding process through the use of visuals. In addition, IV applications are also able to manage the several data sources and complex concepts in learning activities. IV techniques are useful for information acquisition and learning activities. Based on the theory of visual perception, this study produces a design of IV application. The design supports a particular understanding of the visual accordance with data of the hadith environment. Balance to the visual design can build a good human perceptual system to understand the concepts and interpret information more easily and accurately. The findings of the study show the good interpretation and the high score of respondents’ achievement toward using the application. This result indicates that the contribution of visual perception theory as the design of the IV application can create a better visual perception and enhance the quality and quantity of the information.

Azman Ismail,Antonia Girardi,Ali Boerhannoeddin
Pakistan Journal of Commerce and Social Sciences , 2009,
Abstract: This study was conducted to examine the effect of adequacy of benefits and distributive justice on personal outcomes (i.e., job satisfaction and organizational commitment) using 583 usable questionnaires gathered from Malaysian public institutions of higher learning (PLEARNINGINSTITUTE sector). The outcomes of step-wise regression analysis showed that the inclusion of distributive justice in the analysis has increased the effect of adequacy of benefits on both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Furthermore, the findings of this study confirm that distributive justice do act as a partial mediating variable in the benefits program models of the organizational sector sample. In addition, implications and limitations, as well as directions for future research are discussed.

The sample for this study comprised thirty eight teachers who were teaching Information Technology (IT) subjects from various primary schools in Penang, Malaysia. A quantitative survey was administered to the respondents whereby results indicated that the adoption of mobile learning via mobile phone at schools was not perceived well among respondents. Moreover, respondents also were quite skeptical about future of mobile learning should it be implemented at their schools. The article concludes with emerging concerns which may have implications for future studies, specifically on whether or not mobile phone can effectively be adopted as teaching and learning tools for Malaysian mainstream schooling.

e-BANGI : Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities , 2008,
Abstract: The notion of attitude towards money as a moderating factor in job satisfaction models is less emphasised in past studies. More important, further research in this area reveals that the effect of job satisfaction characteristics (i.e. extrinsic and instrinsic factors) on voluntary turnover is not consistent when attitude towards money is considered. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the moderating role of attitude towards money in the relationship between job satisfaction characteristics and voluntary turnover. A survey research method was used and 93 usable questionnaires were gathered from employees who have worked in one city-based local authority in Sarawak, Malaysia. The outcomes of hierarchical regression analysis showed that interaction between attitude towards money and intrinsic job satisfaction factor had failed to reduce the inclination for voluntary turnover. On the contrary, the interaction between attitude towards money and extrinsic job satisfaction factor had suceeded in reducing the intention of voluntary turnover. This result indicated that attitude towards money did act as a partial moderating role in the job satisfaction model of an organisational sample. In addition, the implications of this study on job satisfaction theory and practice, methodological and conceptual limitations, as well as directions for future research are also discussed.
A Survey of Hand Gesture Dialogue Modeling For Map Navigation
Yee Yong Pang,Nor Azman Ismail
Computer Engineering and Applications Journal , 2012,
Abstract: Human trends to use hand gesture in communication. The development of ubiquitous computer causes the possibility of human to interact with computer natural and intuitive. In human-computer interaction, emerge of hand gesture interaction fusion with other input modality greatly increase the effectiveness in multimodal interaction performance. It is necessary to design a hand gesture dialogue based on the different situation because human have different behavior depend on the environment. In this paper, a brief description of hand gesture and related study is presented. The aim of this paper is to design an intuitive hand gesture dialogue for map navigation. Some discussion also included at the end of this paper.
