Pitiriasis rubra pilaris asociada a artritis reumatoidea: Presentación de 1 caso
Moreira Preciado,Marisela; Díaz Almeida,José G.; Pérez López,Aylet; Colomé Escobar,Magaly;
Revista Cubana de Medicina , 2000,
Abstract: the case of a 74-year-old patient with pityriasis rubra pilaris of 10 years of evolution was presented. it was observed that the skin disease was associated with rheumatoid arthritis, which made the authors think about the possible etiologic role played by the immunological factors in pityriasis rubra pilaris. a bladder papillary carcinoma, mutiple seborrheic keratosis, a laryngeal bening tumor, basal carcinomas and a keratoacanthoma appeared during its evolution. the patient received treatment with methotrexate, but it was not successful for its prp. a good response was observed with etretinate
Moredo Romo,Edelisa; Moreira Preciado,Marisela; Pérez López,Aylet;
Revista Cubana de Farmacia , 2004,
Abstract: literature was reviewed and the wide use of interferons (infs) in dermatology was proved. a retrospective study of 7 patients that were diagnosed mycosis fungoides and treated with recombinant alpha-interferon (alpha-infr ) was presented it effectiveness in the treatment of this disease and its availability in cuba were demonstrated. the adverse effects observed in the used doses were mainly fever, chills and malaise that improved with analgesic treatment. no hematological adverse effects were observed.
Pioderma gangrenoso vegetante asociado con insuficiencia renal
Moreira Preciado,Marisela; Díaz Almeida,José G.; Pérez López,Aylet;
Revista Cubana de Medicina Tropical , 2001,
Abstract: a case report was presented in which a patient developed vegetative pyoderma gangrenosum that was concomitant with acute renal failure; this led to the critical condition of the patient. he was initially treated with systemic antibiotics because his clinical picture was considered to be pyodermitis, but the response was unsatisfactory. after being treated with levamizol and alfa interferon, an improvement in his general condition and skin lesions was observed. then surgical exeresis was successfully performed, with skin self-grafting in the face and penis lesions. pyoderma gangrenosum lesions relapsed but they were treated with prednisone, and then there was a rapid elimination of lesions every time they came up.
Moreira Preciado,Maricela; Pérez López,Aylet; Colomé Escobar,Magalys;
Revista Cubana de Medicina Tropical , 2000,
Abstract: this paper presents a patient with multiple condyloma and a buschke-lowenstein tumor in the groin with clinical aspect of a squamous carcinoma. malignity was histollogically ruled out in this case. lesions were treated by surgery and during the postoperative period, the patient was treated with interferon alpha im at a rate of 9 x 106 ui/day three times a week for 3 weeks. one year after the treatment, the patient had not shown any relapse.

Literature was reviewed and the wide use of interferons (INFs) in Dermatology was proved.
A Longitudinal Analysis of the Relationship between Positive and Negative Affect and Health  [PDF]
Tamara Ambrona, Belén López-Pérez
Psychology (PSYCH) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2014.58097
Abstract:

The present article analyses the influence of positive and negative affect on health. The sample consists of 113 first-year undergraduates (76.1% female, 21.2% male and 2.7% unknown), with an age range of 18 to 27 years (M = 19.12, SD = 1.77). Participants were asked to fill out the Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS), physical health was measure with one scale of the General Health Survey (SF-20), one month and one year later of filling out the PANAS. We used a structural equation modelling to test longitudinal relationships between positive and negative affect and health. As we expected, PA and NA predicted health measured one month later and one year later, respectively. Longitudinal analyses over successive 1-month and 1-year intervals revealed reciprocal effects between health and negative and positive affect. The implications for research on health and emotions are discussed.

ODISEO CREATIVO: UN CAPíTULO DE LA HISTORIA REMOTA DE LA CREATIVIDAD
López Pérez,Ricardo;
Revista chilena de literatura , 2010, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-22952010000100008
Abstract: in ancient times, greeks and trojans encountered each other in a fight of many years. the former besieged the city of troy and destroyed it by blood and fire. most of the details were lost, but our culture has kept important fragments of them thanks to the oral compositions and public singing of wandering poets gifted with a powerful memory known as aedos, or rhapsodes, which then became the basis for texts that we can still read today. from the center of this history emerges the figure of the first creative thinker that we can remember this is odysseus, or rather ulysses, in its latin version, whose sinuous life is extraordinarily well documented considering the distance separating us from it. despite habitual practices and consecrated schemas of his time, he consistently introduced new ways to deal with dangers and solve problems. in each of his actions, he is represented as an example of prudence, tenacity, and ability to respond; yet he never submitted the permanent core of his existence and sense of living to short-lived gains. no poet had spoken of creativeness; yet we find the word metis, certainly its remotest antecedent.
