I. MOLDOVAN,Aurelia MOLDOVAN
Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca , 1992,
Abstract: This paper is part of a broader study on the ontogenetic evolution of C. sativa. On detached epidermis, obtained by different methods, the following structural aspects have been studied: the shape and size of the cells of each sample and their number on surface unity, the type of stomata, the size of stomata, the number of stomata on surface unity and the stomatic index. At the same time remarks have been made concerning the protecting and secretive hairs of each sample.
Competition between Medicago sativa and Dactylis glomerata in mixed culture
Ioan ROTAR,Aurelia MOLDOVAN
Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca , 1991,
Abstract: The higs yield obtained from mixte culture of Medicago sativa and Dactylis glomerata in favourable cultivating conditions, show the superiority of this mixture in obtaining rich and constant yields. Our experiment has in view the relations established between the two species sown at different intervals on land gradually fertilized by nitrogen. The intraspecific competition for the nourishing space manifests itself with stronger intensity in the case of small distances and decreases as they increase. The presence of mineral nitrogen in the soil, for long periods, increases the competitive capacity of cocksfoot, its absence favours Medicago sativa.
Morpho-anatomical aspects of the epiderm in two species of Lathyrus
Ioana GABOREANU,Adriana FLORINCESCU,Aurelia MOLDOVAN
Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca , 1998,
Abstract: The paper deals with the microscopic study of the leaves epiderm in Lathyrus latifolius L. and Lathyrus odoratus L. The transversal section through the foliar limb shows slight differences between the two faces of the limb and a weak development and differentiation of the mesophyll. The epidermic cells have rectangular or polygonal shapes, with undulated walls with great and medium amplitudes in Lathyrus latifolius and medium and small ones in Lathyrus odoratus. Stomata apparatus consists of two reniform cells, with two, three, seldom four epidermic cells. Lathyrus odoratus has the ranunculaceous anomocytic type of stomata and Lathirus latifolius presents both this type and the ranunculaceous hemiparacytic type.
Mineral nitrogen effect applied to the lucerne crop and the factor which co-operates to his recover

Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca , 1993,
Abstract: Utility of lucerne crops fertilization with nitrogen fertilizer is a problem much discussed and frequently contradictory. In this paper are presented the increases in dry substances and crude protein which are achieved for 1 kg nitrogen applied to a lucerne crop, important indicators relating to fertilizer opportunity of this crop with mineral nitrogen. Determination of nitrogen recover coefficient from plant biomass yield represents, also, one estimate mean of utilization indicative of chemical fertilizers with nitrogen by the plants and to estimate quantitative balance of this element in agro-ecosystem represented by a lucerne crop.

Journal of Analytical Sciences, Methods and Instrumentation (JASMI) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jasmi.2013.33A005
Abstract:

Cheeses are characterized by several chemical-physical properties that make it difficult for the microorganisms growth, consequently. The actual European legislation allows the addition of few food additives in this type of food products. In this work, the entire procedure of extraction, purification, chromatographic separations and quali/quantitative determination of seven food additives (sorbic acid, benzoic acid, lactic acid, acetic acid, nitrites, nitrates and phosphates) was developed and applied for the analysis of different types of cheese (mozzarella, cheese spread, semi-hard and hard cheeses). Through validation procedure it was possible to evaluate the most important validation parameters. Extended calibration curves (r > 0.990) were obtained for all the analyzed compounds. Recovery values ranged from 72.8% to 98.4% and a good repeatability was obtained, with precision levels in the range of 0.03% - 0.11% (n = 6). The potential and feasibility of the method were tested by analysing real samples, such as mozzarella, cheese spread, semi-hard and hard cheeses, confirming that the method is well suited to satisfy the demands for accurate confirmation analyses of seven food additives in cheeses, which is especially valuable in official check analyses and in monitoring schemes.

Spectrophotometric determination of nitrite by its catalytic effect on the oxidation of congo red with bromate
Zenovia Moldovan
Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia , 2012,
Abstract: A novel simple, sensitive and rapid kinetic-spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace amounts of nitrite is proposed. The method is based on its catalytic effect on the oxidation of congo red (CR) by potassium bromate in acidic solution. The oxidation reaction is monitored spectrophotometrically by measuring the decrease in the absorbance of CR at a suitable λmax= 570 nm for the first 10–40 s from the start of the reaction. Under the optimum experimental conditions (sulfuric acid, 0.3 M; CR, 0.75x10-4 M; potassium bromate, 5x10-4 M and 25 oC), nitrite can be determined in the range of 0.015–0.75 μg mL 1 with the detection limit of 0.006 μg mL 1. The relative standard deviation of five replicate determination of 0.25 μg mL 1 nitrite was 2.5%. The proposed method was applied satisfactorily to the determination of nitrite in spiked drinking water samples. Electronic properties of (Zn,Co)O systems probed by scanning tunnelling spectroscopy
L. Moldovan
Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering , 2008,
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to gain insight into theelectronic properties of (Zn,Co)O system - a widebandgap Diluted Magnetic Semiconductors (DMS)showing room temperature (RT) ferromagnetism undern-type doping conditions. On the experimental side, ultrahigh-vacuum scanning tunnelling microscopy andspectroscopy (STM and STS) at variable temperature (T)are used to probe the local electronic structure of thesystem. It is presented the map of the local density ofstates (LDOS) of polar ZnO surfaces. Then, it is possibleto decorate (incorporate) Co atoms onto (into) thesemiconductor.
An elusive partnership. The Orthodox Church and the substance abuse health care system in Romania
Sebastian MOLDOVAN
Social Research Reports , 2013,
Abstract: This article is part of a research dedicated to the participation of religious communities in the advancement of the system of services provided for the persons suffering from substance use disorders in Romania. The first part presents an epidemiologic image of alcohol consumption and the amount of attention paid to it in the national anti-drug strategy. The second part summarizes the problematics of the contributions brought by faith-based organisations to public health, particularly in the field of substance use disorders and addictive behaviours, and describes some of the Romanian Orthodox Church sponsored initiatives in the domain. The promises and uncertainties of an inchoative partnership between the Church and the National Anti-drug Agency are scrutinized through documentary analysis in the final part.
2D Hole System Characterization by T/TF Dependence of Electrical Resistivity
L. Moldovan
Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering , 2009,
Abstract: The paper presents an experimental setup design for two-dimensional (2D) systems characterization at ultra low-temperature. The electrical resistivity can be measured for variable density of carriers. The resistivity measurements were done for different densities and shows the influence of finite-temperature over the behavior for an 2DHS confined in GaAs.
MUTTON MEAT MARKET IN ROMANIA – A POST-ACCESSION ANALYSIS
MINODORA MOLDOVAN
Lucr?ri ?tiin?ifice : Management Agricol , 2009,
Abstract: The paper investigates the changes that have been produced in the sheep and goat meat sector in the pre- and post-accession period, from farm to trade and final consumption. In the year 2007, there was an obvious increase in the number of slaughtered animals and of meat production. This positive trend was supported by the direct payments received for the sheep and goat farms, as well as by the subsidies provided for sheep breeding in the direction of increasing the meat production. In the year 2007 the exports of live young rams increased, mainly to EU countries.
