Abstract: Pelvic ultrasound is the first-line examination for the diagnosis of ovarian cysts. When coupled with Doppler, it allows the diagnosis to be directed towards the benign or malignant nature of the cyst. These benign tumors are frequent in pubertal period. We report a descriptive study in 35 patients aged between 18 and 32 years of age who received a pelvic inflammatory etiology assessment. The purpose of this study was to show the place of pelvic ultrasound in the diagnosis of ovarian cysts.

Abstract: The most widespread arbovirus in the world, dengue fever has been rampant since the 18th century. Since then, several epidemics have been documented in Asia, the Caribbean, South America and Africa. The authors report two cases of dengue fever in children aged six (6) and twelve (12) years respectively. The diagnosis of several dengue pulmonary was retained in these children, clinico-radiological and biological arguments. In addition to the hemorrhagic syndrome, the pulmonary symptomatology associated cough, dyspnea. Chest X-ray revealed bilateral and extensive alveolar interstitial radiological lesions. From a biological point of view, the positivity of dengue-specific IgM has confirmed arboviruses. From the diagnostic peculiarities of the cases observed, the authors suggest the search for factors associated with a primary dengue infection from several onsets to pulmonary manifestation in children. Indeed, this fringe of the population is no longer concerned with acute respiratory infections. In addition, the socio-cultural context of poverty, of pre-hospital therapeutic itinerary favoring traditional medicine, delays hospital care.
Public Health Policies and Economic Growth: Experience of the WAEMU and the CAEMC Countries  [PDF]

Abstract: Purpose of this study is to analyze the implications of public health policies on economic growth in Sub-Saharan African Countries. From the experience of quite two homogeneous Economic Areas, namely the CAEMC and the WAEMU, we will check up the following hypotheses: The trade-off between Public expenditures in health and Economic growth is positive (ii). The income elasticity in the WAEMU Area is higher than that of the CEMAC Zone. Our method is based on the Panel data technique to compare countries from the CAEMC Area and those from the WAEMU zone on the 1995-2013 periods. It leads to the two following outcomes: On one hand, there is a long run relationship between Government health expenditures and economic growth; on the other hand, the income elasticity in the WAEMU is higher.

Abstract: Security insurance is a paramount cloud services issue in the most recent decade. Therefore, Mapreduce which is a programming framework for preparing and creating huge data collections should be optimized and securely implemented. But, conventional operations on ciphertexts were not relevant. So there is a foremost need to enable particular sorts of calculations to be done on encrypted data and additionally optimize data processing at the Map stage. Thereby schemes like (DGHV) and (Gen 10) are presented to address data privacy issue. However private encryption key (DGHV) or key’s parameters (Gen 10) are sent to untrusted cloud server which compromise the information security insurance. Therefore, in this paper we propose an optimized homomorphic scheme (Op_FHE_SHCR) which speed up ciphertext (Rc) retrieval and addresses metadata dynamics and authentication through our secure Anonymiser agent. Additionally for the efficiency of our proposed scheme regarding computation cost and security investigation, we utilize a scalar homomorphic approach instead of applying a blinding probabilistic and polynomial-time calculation which is computationally expensive. Doing as such, we apply an optimized ternary search tries (TST) algorithm in our metadata repository which utilizes Merkle hash tree structure to manage metadata authentication and dynamics.

Abstract: RESUME La poésie de Jean-Marie Adiaffi a toujours été empreinte de mysticisme religieux et de philosophie traditionnelle africaine. Cet ensemble de valeurs qu’il désignait sous l’appellation de Bossonisme se mue en un courant idéologique pour alimenter ses uvres comme ici dans Galerie infernale. Cette conception est pour lui l’occasion de neutraliser l’impact du colonialisme qui reste en tout état de cause une forme d’asservissement du Négro-africain. Dans ce procès dialectique sur les m urs, les éthiques sociales, culturelles et religieuses, le poète allie blasphème et hérésie dans un jeu esthétique qui intensifie l’atmosphère poétique par des effets de sens à la limite du fantastique et du merveilleux. This conception is for him the opportunity (occasion) to neutralize the impact of the colonialism which remains in any case a shape of subjection of Négro-africain. Le monstre des contes négro-africains de la pédagogie par la peur: un agent de la régulation sociale

Abstract: Les êtres surnaturels qui peuplent l’univers des contes négro-africains occupent auprès des personnages humains des fonctions diverses. Tant t opposants lorsqu’ils sont des actants perturbateurs majeurs à l’ordre établi, tant t adjuvants quand ils militent au retour de la quiétude communautaire. Ce second r le revient au monstre des récits de la pédagogie par la peur qui invite le héros ou l’héro ne réfractaire à l’autorité villageoise, dans la majeure partie des cas, à une introspection en vue d’une parfaite socialisation. S’inscrivant dans l’ontologie de l’éducation morale, le monstre des récits de la peur édifiante pose la triade conscience- loi- autorité dans un rapport dialectique conscience individuelle - conscience collective . Au-delà de cette problématique, le monstre positif de ces récits est un agent de l’éthique sociale et de la sagesse populaire, ce qu’a révélé la présente réflexion.

Abstract: Multispectral microscopy enables information enhancement in the study of specimens because of the large spectral band used in this technique. A low cost multimode multispectral microscope using a camera and a set of quasi-monochromatic Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) ranging from ultraviolet to near-infrared wavelengths as illumination sources was constructed. But the use of a large spectral band provided by non-monochromatic sources induces variation of focal plan of the imager due to chromatic aberration which rises up the diffraction effects and blurs the images causing shadow around them. It results in discrepancies between standard spectra and extracted spectra with microscope. So we need to calibrate that instrument to be a standard one. We proceed with two types of images comparison to choose the reference wavelength for image acquisition where diffraction effect is more reduced. At each wavelength chosen as a reference, one image is well contrasted. First, we compare the thirteen well contrasted images to identify that presenting more reduced shadow. In second time, we determine the mean of the shadow size over the images from each set. The correction of the discrepancies required measurements on filters using a standard spectrometer and the microscope in transmission mode and reflection mode. To evaluate the capacity of our device to transmit information in frequency domain, its modulation transfer function is evaluated. Multivariate analysis is used to test its capacity to recognize properties of well-known sample. The wavelength 700 nm was chosen to be the reference for the image acquisition, because at this wavelength the images are well contrasted. The measurement made on the filters suggested correction coefficients in transmission mode and reflection mode. The experimental instrument recognized the microsphere’s properties and led to the extraction of the standard transmittance and reflectance spectra. Therefore, this microscope is used as a conventional instrument.

Abstract: The label text is a very important tool for the automatic processing of language. It is used in several applications such as morphological and syntactic text analysis, index-ing, retrieval, finished networks deterministic (in which all combinations of words that are accepted by the grammar are listed) or by statistical grammars (e.g., an n-gram in which the probabilities of sequences of n words in a specific order are given), etc. In this article, we developed a morphosyntactic labeling system language “Baoule” using hidden Markov models. This will allow us to build a tagged reference corpus and rep-resent major grammatical rules faced “Baoule” language in general. To estimate the parameters of this model, we used a training corpus manually labeled using a set of morpho-syntactic labels. We then proceed to an improvement of the system through the re-estimation procedure parameters of this model.

The threat of agro-industrial exploitations on the quality of groundwater resources has become a major concern for the worlds population, mainly in agricultural areas. To solve this problem, several methods such as vulnerability to pollutants and statistics methods, have been adopted to protect these groundwaters. In this study, statistical tests were used to determine the likely source of pollutants in the groundwater resources. First, we made a comparative analysis and then analyzed pollutants parameters using Kohonen self-organizing map (SOM) which allows basic on the similarity to help out any correlation between the physic-chemical parameters. To validate these results, a land use map was developed to identify the sources of pollutants in production functions of different activities taking place on the catchment area. The results indicate very high levels of certain pollutants such as NO3-, Cl- and SO42- with generally higher than World Health Organization (WHO) standards values. These high levels observed could be attributed to the generally free nature of aquifers alteration and sedimentary formations in areas of high agro-industrial production.
