Avalia??o do aprendizado discente: estudo com professores de Escolas Públicas

Abstract: this paper reports the results of a study with 40 teachers from the educational system from the state of ceará, which were probed on the potentialities and difficulties inherent in assessing student learning. the survey results suggest that teachers: a) use the dialogue with students and audiovisual resources as two strategies to motivate them for learning; b) understand the cognitive process of learning and how to internalize and apply the acquired knowledge, c) believe they are fully responsible for the progress of students; d) give emphasis to the students' participation in the classroom activities as well as to their performance in a written exam, in school research and in group works. they argue, however, that the main obstacles to their learning are lack of students' interest, lack of discipline in the classroom and the distance between the family and the school. with the results of learning assessment, teachers often review the contents of which students had low performance, and they tend to reflect more about the errors committed by students. based on this information some teachers claim to modify teaching strategies and use more varied teaching strategies.

Abstract: the text discusses some reasons in favor of the adoption of the national examination of secondary education (enem) by federal institutions of higher education (ifes) as a mechanism for selecting their candidates. with this aim, it provides brief historical survey of enem, its main features and significant differences regarding the new model of enem proposed by the ministry of education (mec). the main reasons in favor of the new enem were organized based on the following requests: a) a new society that is constantly changing and is affected by rapid scientific changes; b) a university that cherishes for having a student who knows how to make use of intelligent rational and innovative information from the rapid advances in science and technology; c) a country that needs to substantially increase the proportion of 18 to 24 years old people in higher education.

Abstract: this research has as its objective the assessment of the cognitive capacity called verbal reasoning in high school students. it deals with our capacity to express ideas using verbal symbols. the random sample was composed of 658 high school students from public and private schools in the city of fortaleza in the state of ceará (brazil), while the instrument used was the verbal reasoning test developed by andriola & pasquali (1995). by using analysis of variance (anova) it was possible to compare the variables: sex, age and academic level with the performance on the verbal reasoning test, using the software spss for windows (v. 6.1).

Abstract: this research aimed the determination of the differential item functioning (dif) in 30 analogies used for the verbal reasoning assessment in students, taking into account the sex variable. a sample of 730 high school students, whose average age was 17,74 years (sd = 3,12 years) was used. the majority was composed by students from public schools (58,4%) and females (53,3%). the groups which participated in the study of dif were composed by men (n= 342) and women (n= 388). the metric parameters of the items were determined according to the tri model of two logistics parameters. for the determination of the dif the method of comparation of the metric parameters of the items was used. the results indicated the presence of five items with dif.

Abstract: the purpose of this research was to organize an item bank for the evaluation of verbal reasoning using the item response theory (irt). with the responses of 730 high school students, average age 17,7 (sd = 3,12), to a group of 51 itens in the form of verbal analogies, the difficulty and discrimination were estimated using the longistic model of two parameters. the itens characteristic curves (icc?s) were also determined.

Abstract: this paper aimed at describing the main methods used today in the detection of the differential functioning of items (dif). we describe the methods of the area between the icc's, comparison of the probabilities, comparison of the items parameters, lord's chi-square, scheuneman's chi-square, pearson's or total chi-square, mantel-haenszel method, logistic regression, standardized method and, finally, the logistic interactive method. we present the mathematical basis, main advantages and limitations of these methods. finally, we emphasize the presence of the dif in psychological and educational tests as a problem for the assumption of standardized conditions and also as a cause of injustice and absence of equity for the assessment process.

Abstract: this paper reports the main educational activities of young people and adults which have been developed aimed at professionals in the prisons of ceará state. currently in brazil are developed merely two actions of teacher prison system, the level of expertise, one of which is running in ceará state. in addition to this action, fit note, in ceará, actions for the training of 220 prison officers, the secondary data analysis of pnad/2007 - supplement eja; funding of research projects by cnpq, the training of new researchers in the master's level; the formation of new researchers in the master's level, the articulation of the ufc with the ministry of education, with penitentiary school of management and resocialization and the department of justice and citizenship.

Abstract: Este estudo objetivou determinar o funcionamento diferencial de 30 analogias destinadas à avalia o do raciocínio verbal, considerando a variável sexo. Utilizou-se uma amostra de 730 alunos do Ensino Médio, com idade média de 17,74 anos (dp= 3,12 anos). A maioria procedia de escolas públicas (58,5%) e era do sexo feminino (53,2%). Os grupos organizados para a investiga o foram compostos por homens (n=342) e mulheres (n=388). Os parametros métricos dos itens foram determinados pelo modelo TRI de dois parametros logísticos. Para a verifica o do DIF foram comparados os parametros métricos dos itens. Os resultados indicaram a presen a de cinco itens com DIF.

Abstract: Esta pesquisa objetivou a organiza o de um banco de itens destinados a avalia o do raciocínio verbal, utilizando a Teoria de Respostas ao Item (TRI). Com as respostas de 730 alunos do 2o grau, cuja idade média foi de 17,7 anos (DP = 3,12) fornecidas a um grupo de 51 itens em formato de analogias verbais, estimou-se a dificuldade e a discrimina o através do modelo longístico de dois parametros. Também foram determinadas as curvas características dos itens (CCIs).

Abstract: O artigo descreve os principais métodos utilizados, atualmente, na detec o do funcionamento diferencial dos itens (DIF), entre os quais o de Compara o da área entre as CCI's, Compara o das Probabilidades, Compara o dos Parametros dos Itens, Qui-quadrado de Lord, Qui-quadrado de Scheuneman, Qui-quadrado de Pearson ou Total, Mantel-Haenszel, Regress o Logística, Método Padronizado e, finalmente, o Logístico Interativo. Apresentamos as bases matemáticas desses métodos, suas principais vantagens e limita es. Destacamos que a presen a do DIF em instrumentos de medida, sejam psicológicos ou pedagógicos, é um problema para o suposto da padroniza o ou uniformiza o das condi es de aplica o dos testes e que, ademais, acarreta injusti a e falta de eqüidade ao processo avaliativo.
