Abstract: Los objetos de aprendizaje (OA) son considerados hoy como una alternativa viable e interesante para el desarrollo de contenidos para programas educativos mediados por las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC). No obstante la pertinencia del tema para el momento actual de la educación superior en toda Latinoamérica, es preciso reflexionar más en profundidad acerca de lo que significan los OA y su impacto en el proceso educativo. El estudio de los rasgos pedagógicos de los objetos de aprendizaje coloca a la comunidad académica frente a un escenario que requiere la pronta identificación de sus retos y limitaciones de cara a la inminente ejecución de procesos de incorporación de los OA en las dinámicas de las instituciones educativas. Learning objects (LO) are regarded today as a viable and interesting alternative for development of content for educational programs mediated by information and communication technologies (ICT). Attending the relevance of this topic just for this historic moment of higher education throughout Latin America, we need to think more deeply about what LO means and its impact on the educational process. The study of the pedagogical features of learning objects placed to the academic community in front of a scenario that requires prompt identification of their challenges and constraints facing the imminent execution of incorporation processes of LO in educational institutions dynamics.

Abstract: El presente artículo describe una investigación que da cuenta de la incidencia de un Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizaje (AVA) en el fortalecimiento de algunas competencias matemáticas en estudiantes universitarios. La investigación permitió contrastar el estado de desarrollo de varias competencias matemáticas en estudiantes universitarios de primer semestre, antes y durante una experiencia de interacción en un Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizaje, como complemento de un curso presencial de Geometría. Los resultados obtenidos en la investigación permitieron identificar algunas transformaciones en los estudiantes, sobre todo en su capacidad de identificar, plantear y resolver problemas, en sus habilidades para comunicarse de manera oral y escrita y en su capacidad de aplicación de los conocimientos matemáticos al campo de la Ingeniería Civil. This paper describes a research project that accounts for the impact of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) in strengthening some Math skills in university students. The research allowed us to compare the state of development of some mathematical skills in students of first semester, before and during an experience of interaction in a Virtual Learning Environment, in addition to a face to face course in Geometry. The research results helped identify some changes in students, especially in their abilities to identify and solve problems, communicate orally and in writing and in their ability to apply mathematical knowledge to the Civil Engineering field.

Abstract: in this paper attempts to inform a series of problems related to the philosophy of technology. under this goal i will show its main lines and the relevance of a philosophical approach about technique. it also provides reasons for technologists come to philosophy. propose different models of relationship between science and technology in order to clarify a confusing area usually in the epistemology of science and technology. and then presenting a very relevant question: the thesis on the autonomy of technology. i conclude with a thesis on the complexity of the plots that relate the theoretical and the practical. finally i propose a hermeneutic-phenomenological approach for a future philosophy of technology.

Abstract: As the interest for environmental increases and environmental laws become more stringent, the need to replace existing processes with new more sustainable technologies becomes a primary objective. The use of ionic liquids to replace organic solvents in metal catalyzed reactions has recently gained much attention and great progress has been accomplished in this area in the last years. This paper reviews the recent developments in the application of ionic liquids and related systems (supported ionic liquids, ionic polymers, and so on) in the Heck reaction. Merits and achievements of ionic liquids were analyzed and discussed considering the possibility of increasing the effectiveness of industrial processes.

Abstract: the article offers a conceptual look at instructional design as a term now being used frequently in processes to generate educational material and virtual learning environments. it begins with a review of the history and evolution of instructional design and ends with a theoretical proposal. the objective of the article is to construct a critical proposal in response to the current debate over instructional design. the proposal places special emphasis on differences compared to the models that have served historically as the principal reference on this subject. to accomplish this, the term instruction is examined in depth, so as to arrive at a comprehensive approach to the globality of instructional design. the importance of identifying both the profile and the particular role of an instructional designer is emphasized as a way to establish a frame of reference for defining the practice of instructional design, the relationships constructed by institutional designers, and the interdisciplinary knowledge particular to their role.

Abstract: in order to make an effective implementation of learning objects within the practice and culture of teachers and students, it should be necessary, first, to understand and to make some reflections about its theoretical issues. an approach to the construction of the theoretical status of learning objects, or at least, to carry out the first steps towards it, is a valuable exercise to approach reflexively to the understanding of its complexity and its potential as a learning mediation, facing the challenges of today's education, which is presumed immersed in the phenomenon of integration of information and communication technologies. this writing is an approach to the conceptual definition of learning objects in order to enhance its pedagogical aspects.
