Journal of Settlements and Spatial Planning , 2011,
Abstract: The ieu river, a tributary of the Some u Mare river, streams from the north – eastern end of the C limani mountains, at the contact between the peaks of the C liman Mountains and the Bistri a Depression, under the C liman piedmont. The genesis and spatial development of the ieu river basin is the result of its position in the northern extremity of the Transylvanian Depression, but also of the Transylvanian – Pannonian micro-board mobility, which generated a series of changes of the subsidence areas in the lower sector of the ieu River. The relief of the Transylvanian Depression, by its actual appearance, is but a short sequence of the series of geomorphological changes. Distinguishing them may follow different paths depending on the purpouse, requirements and possibilities, one of which is represented by the analysis of the morphogenetic manifestation in the valley – slope systems, based on methodological support provided by functional geomorphology. Attention will be directed to the S r el sector – the juncture with the Some u Mare river, where contemporary alluvial processes (alluvial bed elevation, the presence of sloughing sectors) the appearance of sectors due to the saliferous Quaternary neotectonics, the agrotecnical exploitation of land use, contribute to changes in the report of the slope – valley system. In this fluvial geomorphology study the spatio – temporal frame of the analysed system accounts for 268 km2, of a total of 1691 km2. The alternation of some saliferous horizons (the S rata and S r el Valleys) with other more friable ones (clays, marls, gravel) in addition to the fact that it is fully visible, it induces differentiations even in the water bed, valley sectors. The emergence of a series of wide NV–SE axial – plane separations: the Sl tini a anticline, the T rpiu synclinal, confer unicity to the sector.
Using Continuations to Account for Plural Quantification and Anaphora Binding
Dinu, Anca;
Polibits , 2012,
Abstract: we give in this paper an explicit formal account of plural semantics in the framework of continuation semantics introduced in [1]; and extended in [4]. we deal with aspects of plural dynamic semantics such as plural quantification, plural anaphora, conjunction and disjunction, distributivity and maximality conditions. those phenomena need no extra stipulations to be accounted for in this framework, because continuation semantics provides a unified account of scope-taking.
IMMIGRATION AND INTEGRATION POLICIES IN UK
Anca Voicu
Romanian Journal of European Affairs (RJEA) , 2009,
Abstract: The number of immigrants received by the United Kingdom significantly increased during the past several years. Given the set of economic and social difficulties encountered, UK created for the first time a completely original system of Nationality Legislation and started to apply a severe policy of assimilation instead of integration. UK applied the Community Law concerning immigration, asylum and free movement of workers in its national interest, the whole European construction showing the “British specificities”. Even today, there are a lot of measures to be taken in order to come to a real integration policy of immigrants.

Structural Changes of International Trade Flows under the Impact of Globalization
Anca Dachin
Theoretical and Applied Economics , 2006,
Abstract: Structural changes of international trade flows indicate modifications in competitiveness of countries, in terms of production, technological upgrading and exports under the pressure of globalization. The paper aims to point out sources of competitive advantages especially in manufacturing exports of different groups of countries. The focus is on the shifts in the structure of manufacturing in the European Union and their effects on international rankings in export performances. An important issue refers to the opportunities given by the enlargement of the European Union and their impact on EU trade structures.
Industrial Policy Approaches from Theory to Practice in European Union
Anca Dachin
Theoretical and Applied Economics , 2006,
Abstract: The main debate about industrial policy consists of the attitude regarding the role of state versus market. The admission of possible market failures was the inspiration source for policies in the field of competition strengthening, supply of public goods, overcoming the deficit of capital etc. The general objectives of industrial policy may vary from the absolute role of the market to the market control. The European Community has applied a diversity of policies, differentiated from one period to another, in connection with the competition pressure on the world market and with the European integration stages. The EC had at its beginning a complete faith in the market mechanism, then a period of protectionism followed, as an answer to the oil shock and to the pressure of competition on international markets, especially coming from large American and Japanese companies. During the period 1985-1990, the European Community began to establish an industrial policy to encourage partnership between European companies and to promote cooperation in the field of research and development. In 1990 the European Commission proposed a new coherent concept of market oriented industrial policy, according to the model of neutral policy. Industrial policy is strongly connected to the competition policy. Especially after 1995, there have been signs of worry about the lower competitiveness in terms of productivity growth rate, expenditures for research and innovation capacity compared to USA and Japan. In addition, the European industry must face the competition pressure coming from the emergence of countries, mainly those from South-East Asia. In this context, the key factor which ensures a favorable perspective for the industry is competitiveness. This also implies expected positive effects of EU enlargement. The decision to sustain competitiveness was already taken in Lisbon, where a modern strategy was presented. Its priorities are the creation of a suitable environment for competition, flexible labor markets, integrated financial markets and economic and social cohesion.
THE CRISIS OF THE MODERN MAN IN THE CONTEXT OF SECULARIZATION AND A POSSIBLE ANSWER FROM A TRANSDISCIPLINARY PERSPECTIVE
MUSTEA ANCA
Revista de Administratie Publica si Politici Sociale , 2010,
Abstract: The human being is permanently in search for meaning: the meaning of his life, the meaning ofdaily events, and most of all, the meaning of its sufferance. The process of secularization affects themeaning making process by eliminating the spiritual dimension of man, and the consequences, asemphasized by Mircea Eliade, Carl Gustav Jung or Viktor Frankl are disastrous, all leading to thealienation of man and the possibility of self destruction. The transdisciplinary approach isdiscussed here in relation to the possibility of recuperating this meaning. The consideration of aspiritual dimension of human, as well as of democracy might be a viable solution against the“existential vacuum” due to the loss of meaning.
Aspects of Global Crisis

Acta Universitatis Danubius : Oeconomica , 2011,
Abstract: The author aims to explore Germany, known as one of the most developed Europeaneconomy, based mainly on exports, which until 2010 was the number-one leading exporter. Also,Poland, who managed to surprise us by its economic growth of 1.2% during the most recent globaleconomic crisis, and Romania, which manages to surprise us every day in comparison with othercountries such as France or Italy. The global economic crisis is one of the most important events inrecent years has brought about tremendous losses and increases levels of unemployment well abovethe expectations of many analysts. He started as a tornado in the U.S. savings and was felt all over theworld. It is practically a state of disorder in the world economy, in which countries economy suddenlygoing to lower its labor, usually fall brought the financial crisis.
Actes Juridiques à Titre Gratuit Comme Formes des Libéralités Critères Concernant leur Différenciation par Rapport aux Autres Actes
Anca MERISESCU
Acta Universitatis Danubius : Juridica , 2009,
Abstract: In the article with the theme: “Juridical Free Acts as Forms of Liberalities. Criteria Regarding the Distinction between them and other Acts” I made an analysis of the free juridical acts as forms of liberalities. Also, in this paper I made the distinction between these juridical acts as forms of liberalities regarding other acts, differences which I have proven with concrete and conclusive examples.
The Industry – a Vulnerable Source of Economic Recovery in Romania
Anca DACHIN
Theoretical and Applied Economics , 2012,
Abstract: In a globalized world the exogenous shocks and related instabilities of economic variables have negative effects on the economic growth of each country. Increased sensitivity to shocks shows higher economic vulnerability and the persistence of its factors and features reveal structural deficiencies of the economy. Industry is a category of resource with a decreasing share in GDP in the European Union in the past decades, but still gives the first signs of slowdown in activity before crisis. The industrial production in Romania had a fast recovery among the EU Member States in 2011 based on the increase of the external demand. The paper focuses on the exposure of the Romanian industry to further economic instability by using an empirical analysis of short-term statistics. Since a high share of the Romanian industrial exports are EU oriented, the commercial channel is an important factor that may affect the post-crisis economic growth if the structural vulnerability does not decrease.
