Clinical implications of early differential diagnostic between Language Delay (LD) and Specific Language Impairment (SLI) [mplicaciones clínicas del diagnóstico diferencial temprano entre Retraso de Lenguaje (RL) y Trastorno Específico del Lenguaje (TEL)]
Víctor Acosta Rodríguez,Ana Moreno Santana,María Axpe Caballero
Universitas Psychologica , 2012,
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to analyze the differences between Language Delay (LD) and Specific Language Impairment (SLI) concepts from a clinical point of view. The selected sample consisted of 6 LD and 6 SLI individuals, who were chosen with standarized tools and qualitative tasks. LD children had not any treatment, meanwhile SLI children underwent an intervention program which pursued two aims: on one hand, to improve the development of linguistic comprehension and production and on the other hand, to encourage the progress of basic skills for literacy, focusing on narrative development and phonological processing. The contents of the program have been sequenced in increasing order of cognitive complexity. The U of Mann-Whitney was used to check the similarities and differences of the children′ linguistic development according to their diagnosis. Results show important differences between both groups. A positive progress of LD children stand outs, although they didn′t undergo an intervention program. Meanwhile, just the opposite happens with SLI children. These data make us think that there is not an obligatory sequence from LD to SLI children. Therefore, we regard them as different categories.

Revista Portuguesa e Brasileira de Gest?o , 2009,
Abstract: Os sistemas sociais e de saúde enfrentam grandes desafios. Nowadays, social and health systems are facing new and ambitious challenges. This exploratory work identifies and analyses concepts and strategic tools supporting integrated care organization model actually being discussed and implemented in Europe. The main purpose is to argue about the application of management concepts, methodologies and tools to these new ways of being and acting in health systems.
Cultura e identidade surdas: encruzilhada de lutas sociais e teóricas

Abstract: the expressions deaf culture and deaf identity have been legitimated, mainly, through the defense of sign language as being the natural language of deaf people. this defense is made through a theoretical inversion that takes the language as determined for the practical and social interactions and the proper language define these same practical. this article argues about the mechanisms of legitimation of this inversion and its social and theoretical implications
Akivis Superalgebras and speciality
Helena Albuquerque,Ana Paula Santana
Mathematics , 2007,
Abstract: In this paper we define Akivis superalgebra and study enveloping superalgebras for this class of algebras, proving an analogous of the PBW Theorem. Lie and Malcev superalgebras are examples of Akivis superalgebras. For these particular superalgebras, we describe the connection between the classical enveloping superalgebras and the corresponding generalized concept defined in this work.
The Kostant form of $\mathfrak{U}(sl_n^+)$ and the Borel subalgebra of the Schur algebra S(n,r)
Ana Paula Santana,Ivan Yudin
Mathematics , 2008,
Abstract: Let $A_n(K)$ be the Kostant form of $\mathfrak{U}(sl_n^+)$ and $\Gamma$ the monoid generated by the positive roots of $sl_n$. For each $\lambda\in \Lambda(n,r)$ we construct a functor $F_{\lambda}$ from the category of finitely generated $\Gamma$-graded $A_n(K)$-modules to the category of finite dimensional $S^+(n,r)$-modules, with the property that $F_{\lambda}$ maps (minimal) projective resolutions of the one-dimensional $A_n(K)$-module $K_{A}$ to (minimal) projective resolutions of the simple $S^+(n,r)$-module $K_{\lambda}$.
Stratifying ideals and twisted products
Ana Paula Santana,Ivan Yudin
Mathematics , 2014,
Abstract: We study stratifying ideals for rings in the context of relative homological algebra. Using LU-decompositions, which are a special type of twisted products, we give a sufficient condition for an idempotent ideal to be (relative) stratifying.
Perfect category-graded algebras
Ana Paula Santana,Ivan Yudin
Mathematics , 2010,
Abstract: In a perfect category every object has a minimal projective resolution. We give a criterion for the category of modules over a categorygraded algebra to be perfect.
Characteristic-free resolutions of Weyl and Specht modules
Ana Paula Santana,Ivan Yudin
Mathematics , 2011,
Abstract: We construct explicit resolutions of Weyl modules by divided powers and of co-Specht modules by permutational modules. We also prove a conjecture of Boltje-Hartmann on resolutions of co-Specht modules.

Abstract: acute confusion syndrome (acs) or delirium is a frequent mental disorder with serious adverse results in hospitalized patients who are also affected by, among other things, aspects of their daily care and hospital environment. because it is related to an increase in mortality, the duration of hospital stay and the following institutionalization of patients that suffer from this, it is considered important to quantify how many elderly patients with hip fractures, a very common pathology in the hospitalization unit of traumatology surgery and orthopedics of the hospital, were suffering from this syndrome. objective: to know the impact of acs in patients over 65 years of age, admitted to hospital due to proximal femur fracture, during 2008 in the c.o.t. hospitalization unit in the hospital nuestra se?ora de sonsoles del complejo asistencial, ávila, spain. also to identify the day of hospital admittance in which acs appeared. methodology: observational, descriptive, retrospective study. the total population is 240, that corresponds to the total number of patients admitted due to hip fracture in 2008, for a confidence rate of 99% (□ = 0.01) and a margin of error of 3%, the sample size is 213. the sample was obtained randomly and grouped and is made up of patients admitted in the traumatology unit in 2008, over 65 years of age, with a diagnosis of hip fracture. independent variables: gender and age, the day of admittance and surgical intervention and dementia type when admitted. the dependant variables are the appearance of acs and the day of hospital stay in which it appeared, identifying if it is anterior or posterior to the surgical intervention of fracture osteosynthesis. results: high percentage of women vs. men, 166 women (78%) with an average age of 84 years, 41.78% being over 85 years old. acs incidence: 32.4%, 69 of the total cases (n=213). dementia previous to admittance: 38 cases of which in 31.57% alterations in the sleep cycle were detected along with wakeful
