Poe e a contemporaneidade: um cora o sempre delator
Amodeo, Maria Tereza
Fourier-Mukai functors and perfect complexes on dual numbers
Francesco Amodeo,Riccardo Moschetti
Mathematics , 2013,
Abstract: We show that every exact fully faithful functor from the category of perfect complexes on the spectrum of dual numbers to the bounded derived category of a noetherian separated scheme is of Fourier-Mukai type. The kernel turns out to be an object of the bounded derived category of coherent complexes on the product of the two schemes. We also study the space of stability conditions on the derived category of the spectrum of dual numbers.
Hamdan, Amer Cavalheiro;Bueno, Orlando Francisco Amodeo;
Estudos de Psicologia (Natal) , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-294X2005000100008
Abstract: this study compared and related the performance of older people with mild cognitive impairment and alzheimer-type dementia in tests of executive control and of verbal episodic memory. in the evaluation of the verbal episodic memory we used the task of immediate word recall and the task of delayed word recall. in the evaluation of executive control we used the following tests: random number generation, trail making test, semantic and phonological verbal fluency, wisconsin card sorting test, reading span test, and brow-peterson test. thirteen elders of the control group were compared by age and education with nine elders with mild cognitive impairment and eight elders with alzheimer-type dementia. differences and significant statistical associations were found in relation to the tests of executive control with the groups investigated. despite the presence of significant associations between the verbal episodic memory and the executive control, deficits of the executive control were not evidenced in groups with mild cognitive impairment.
Neuropsicologia transcultural: grupo indígena guarani
Andrade, Vivian Maria;Bueno, Orlando Francisco Amodeo;
Estudos de Psicologia (Natal) , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-294X2007000300007
Abstract: intellectual processes were investigated in two different populations to study the influence of culture in cognitive performance. twelve people of an indian population of the guarany ethnic nation were compared to 12 people ("non-indians") paired according to age and education level, both groups residing in the periphery of the city of s?o paulo. the following tests were used: digit span; corsi block-tapping test; block design and naming figure test. the immediate and delayed verbal memory was assessed through a short story-task with a specific ecological context and the visual memory through animal figures retrieval. no statistical differences were observed between the two groups, but a statistic tendency was observed in the sense of the indigenous group apparently encountering more facility in visual and motors tasks and the "non-indians" in verbal tasks. the results suggest that the indigenous group used culturally influenced strategies to solve problems and to acquire information, and a more intuitive and concrete utilization of cognition, in conjunction with their own life style as well as poor education.
Pompéia, Sabine;Bueno, Orlando F. Amodeo;
Psicologia: Reflex?o e Crítica , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-79722006000100012
Abstract: the study of the contribution of different subtypes of long-term memory, explicit and implicit, in the performance in certain tasks is constrained by three different factors: a) the ambiguous definition of these types of memory, "consciously" and "non-consciously" retrievable, respectively; b) the distinct features of tasks that assess implicit and explicit memory, rendering the direct comparison of results in these tasks little revealing; e c) the fact that both implicit and explicit strategies can be employed together in practically all types of tests. the "retrieval intentionality criterion" (schacter, bowers, & booker, 1989) consists of a paradigm that proposes to control these factors so that the use of explicit and implicit memory can be distinguished. the present work illustrates how this methodology can be employed and how to interpret results obtained applying a stem-completion task.
Amodeo, Maria Tereza,Pereira, Vera Wannmacher

Robotic Oncological Surgery: Technology That’s Here to Stay?
HRH Patel,A Amodeo,and JV Joseph
International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems , 2010,
Abstract: A robot functioning in an environment may exhibit various forms of behavior emerge from the interaction with its environment through sense, control and plan activities. Hence, this paper introduces a behaviour selection based navigation and obstacle avoidance algorithm with effective method for adapting robotic behavior according to the environment conditions and the navigated terrain. The developed algorithm enable the robot to select the suitable behavior in real-time to avoid obstacles based on sensory information through visual and ultrasonic sensors utilizing the robot's ability to step over obstacles, and move between surfaces of different heights. In addition, it allows the robot to react in appropriate manner to the changing conditions either by finetuning of behaviors or by selecting different set of behaviors to increase the efficiency of the robot over time. The presented approach has been demonstrated on quadruped robot in several different experimental environments and the paper provides an analysis of its performance.
