Electronic Journal of Biotechnology , 2008,
Abstract: with the objective of estimating allele frequencies, and testing for population divergence for the csn1s1 locus, genotypes of animals from five goat populations; saanen (n = 97), alpine (n = 81) toggenburg (n = 92), local goats with external appearance similar to the murciana-granadina breed from central mexico (n = 26) and heterogeneous local animals denominated mosaico lagunero (n = 30), from northern mexico, were identified using pcr and xmn1 pcr-rflp methodology. for saanen, alpine and toggenburg, the sum of e and f alleles had the largest frequencies (from 0.468 to 0.789), while for the groups local murciana-granadina and mosaico lagunero the sum of the most frequent allelic groups (a* and b*), were 0.385 and 0.533 respectively. both local murciana-granadina and mosaico lagunero populations showed heterozygote excess (p < 0.08). the percentage of the total genetic variation (fst) explained by population differences was 5.16. there was genetic differentiation for most pair comparisons between populations (p < 0.05), excepting for alpine versus toggenburg, and toggenburg versus mosaico lagunero (p > 0.05). for saanen and alpine the frequencies of alleles e and f were similar to the same breeds previously analyzed in europe. therefore there are opportunities of increasing the frequency of the strong alleles for protein content gene assisted selection (gas) in these two breeds. for toggenburg the most frequent allelic groups were f (0.32) and b* (0.21). results indicate differentiation between most populations for this locus. moreover, heterozygote excess in local populations indicated breed admixture.

AbstractThis text aims to connect some lines and routes of analysis as contribution to the debate which is reappearing in Latin America around the third non-developed component of modernity: Fraternity. That is why it will be approached from a political dimension, which is proper to modernity and the proposal of Franciscan philosophy.
Detailed and exhaustive study of the authentication of European virgin olive oils by SEXIA expert system
Aparicio, R.,Alonso, V.,Morales, M. T.
Grasas y Aceites , 1994,
Abstract: The authentication of extra virgin olive oils from different regions of Spain, Italy and Portugal, by means of their fatty acids, alcohols, sterols, methyl sterols and hydrocarbons content, has been investigated. Multivariate statistical methods and Evidence's Theory were applied. The comparative study shows greater predictive ability using this theory than the traditional statistical methods or expert systems that do not implement the possibility theory. A detailed and exhaustive study of Italian (Tuscany and Basilicata), Portuguese and Spanish virgin olive oils has been made. Geographically coloured maps of the studied regions are shown to strengthen the numerical results.
Arturo Morales Bedoya,Luz Marina Alonso Palacio
Revista Salud Uninorte , 2006,

Abstract: most of he craniofacial deformities are caused by development and growth alterations, traumata and neoplasms. to describe the integral surgical treatment of above deformities and the modifications and contributions carried out to traditional craniofacial techniques, a cross-sectional and descriptive study was conducted in 46 patients seen by the craniofacial surgery multidisciplinary staff from "juán manuel máquez" university children hospital from may, 2003 to march, 2007. mean age of the patients operated on was of 6.3 years. twenty surgical tehniques were performed where the more used was he coronal suturectomy with a mask hemi-advance and frontal cranioplasty for the 15.2 %, followed by the coronal suturectomy with the two above techniques for te 10.9 %. the 8.9 % of patients need lefort iii osteotomy for distraction of half-third. the contributions included: radiate plication of dura mater with the bipolar type in the 75.0 % of craniotomy patients, punctiform incision of dura mater to decompress a transoperative encephalic hypertension or to retract the encephalon for osteotomies on skull base in the 64.3 % of craniotomy patients, greenstick fracture at level of pterion in the mask flap for the marshal's techniques used in the 83.3 % of the brachycephalous or plagiocephaly with advance only of inolved side in the 100 % of plagiocephalies with a modification of marshall's technique among others, for a total o 9 modifications to surgical procedures. there weren't complications associated with these procedures and more than two years of posoperative course.
Delgado Alonso,Ada; Morales Díaz,Ignacio; Pita Armenteros,Luis;
Revista Cubana de Cirug?-a , 2008,
Abstract: a bibliographic review on the superior mesenteric artery syndrome was made. it was reported a case with a symptomatic megaduodenum that also presented abnormalities of the mesenteric artery and congenital anomalies of the duodenojejunal angle and of intestinal malrotation. according to the bibliographic review, it was determined that it is a rare syndrome that is denied by some authors, and that there is no such impingement, but the combination of factors, among which the congenital anomalies prevail.
Mariano Arango Restrepo,Alonso Cardona Arango,Roberto Escamilla Morales
Lecturas de Economía , 1988,
Abstract: This article is based on three previous studies about land tenancy in the regions covered by the Integrated Rural Development Program (DRI) of Córdoba (1986), Sucre and Atlántico (1987). It discusses the main ideas, concerning the agrarian reform, found in these studies, as follows: 1. the reform should affect property of all sizes belonging to big landowners; 2. it is necessary that this reform plan include fertile and well located properties; 3. previous to the redistribution reform it is desirable to enforce tax on unimproved land and to stabilize land prices on the zone covered by the reform plan; 4. the reform plan should give priority to the welfare of small landowners (instead of wage-earners who don't possess land).
Ada Delgado Alonso,Ignacio Morales Díaz,Luis Pita Armenteros
A bibliographic review on the superior mesenteric artery syndrome was made.
