Journal of the Human and Social Science Researches (itobiad) , 2012,
Abstract: Mant ksal pozitivizmin savundu u do rulamac ve yanl lamac yakla mlar, din dilinin anlams zl n g stermeye y neliktir. Wittgenstein’ n ikinci d nem fikirlerinden hareketle bir ok i levselci teori ortaya at lm t r. Wittgenstein’ n kullan m esas alan anlam teorisi, bir ok teist dü ünür i in dini kurtarmak ad na umut verici olmu tur. Verification and falsifiable approaches advocated by the logical positivism, exhibit an attitude of insisting on the meaningless of religious language. Functionalist theory had been put forward based on Wittgenstein's second term philosophy. Many theists have seen usage-based theory of Wittgenstein promising to save the religion. But, attempts to interpret the language of religion on the basis of function were criticized for being reductionist. At the same time, this attitude has been evaluated by the theist philosophers as an approach which ignores the divine-metaphysical aspect.

Open Journal of Medical Imaging (OJMI) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ojmi.2013.32009
Abstract:

Purpose: To determine the relationship between the dental root indentation and maxillary sinusitis. Methods: We assessed the records of the patients who underwent paranasal sinus computed tomography imaging for suspected sinusitis. Results: We identified a total of 52 patients with a pre-diagnosis of maxillary sinusitis. Dental indentation was detected in 58 of 104 (55.7%) sinuses. Forty six of 58 sinuses (79.3%) with dental indentation had mucosal thickening higher than 2 mm. The difference between the groups was statistically significant (p = 0.007). Conclusion: Dental indentation should be kept in mind as a reason for chronic maxillary sinus inflammation, if an underlying cause cannot be identified.

Journal of Animal and Veterinary Advances , 2012, DOI: 10.3923/javaa.2010.581.583
Abstract: The aim of this trial was to compare the performance of rainbow trout fed diets with different fish meal origin as the main protein sources. The growth trial lasted for 12 weeks and carried out in floating cages (5x5x5 m), with triplicate groups of 10,500 rainbow trout of an initial average weight of 40±1.2 g. The experimental diets were formulated to be isonitrogenous and isoenergetic and to include imported (Peru) fish meal (Diet A), locally produced fish meal from Anchovy (Diet B) and locally produced fish meal from several fish species (gilthead sea bream, sea bass and rainbow tout) by-products (Diet C). At the end of the trial, there were no significant differences in the growth rate and protein efficiency ratio among groups (p>0.05). Feed conversion ratios were significantly better in groups fed Diets B. It was concluded that, performance of rainbow trout fed practical diets including good quality local processed fish meal are similar to that of fish fed diets including imported fish meal.
MISTAKES AND CONTRADICTIONS IN THE WORKS OF OLD TURKISH LITERATURE
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali YILDIRIM
Turkish Studies , 2007,
Abstract: There have been some mistakes and contradictory information in the documents which deal with Old Turkish Literature. Some of them are among the works which can be regarded as the basic documents of this field. It is not true to accept them as the mistakes and contradictions only in information. Because these mistakes and contradictions cause great trouble in the transcription and explanation of texts. Sufism, one of the important concepts which Old Turkish Literature is based on, is the field in which such errors and contradictions take place mostly. Especially the concepts of monoteism, love of man, divine love and human love are much more confused with the other terms and concepts. This study consists of the opinions mentioned above.
THE MATTERS OF TEXT CRITIC AND K M ’S DIV N / MET N TENK D LE LG L HUSUSLAR VE K M D V NI RNE

Turkish Studies , 2007,
Abstract: Text critic studies wich are based on understanding a text completely, explaining informations and culturel points in the text, finding out the truth of these informations compose an important part of Classical Turkish Literature. But there are some big problems with published divans, mesnevies and prose texts’ because of methodlessness. We can accept researchers’ inedequancy on the subjects of Ottoman Lenguage and its linguistic, prosody, rhyme, text’s copy as a source of these problems. In this paper problems of text critic studies are pointed out and examples on this subject are given.

Pakistan Journal of Biological Sciences , 2004,
Abstract: Genetic variability induced by mutagen treatments has maintained in the generations. The increases in variability resulted in the selection of superior mutant types for yield and yield components are used successfully in wheat breeding. The aims of the study were: (I) to select mutant lines with good yielding properties by comparing mutant lines with mother cultivars for agronomic traits in the M4 and M5 generations and (ii) to advance the selected lines to the following generations. The lines used in the experiment were selected from mutant populations of durum wheat cultivars (Sofu and Gediz-75) treated with etil-methane-sulfonate (EMS). The mutants were identified by visual screening for short straw, long spike and confirmed by measuring some characters of theoretical and practical interest in the M2 and M3 generations. The mutants with good yielding properties as compared to the mother cultivars were transferred to the M4 generation. Eighteen of these lines were from cv. Gediz-75 and twelve were from cv. Sofu. The experiments were organized as a randomized complete block design with three replications. There were several mutant lines with higher or lower means than those of mother cultivars. Responses of the mutants depended on the environmental conditions. It is possible to select higher yielding mutant lines with also some important agronomic traits. Selection of high yielding mutant lines could be performed in the M5 and these lines as a breeding material transferred in the yield experiments. Thus, number of mutant lines can be decreased considerably by early selections in the M4 and M5. Mutant lines with desirable characters varied with cultivars. Gdem-1, 2, 7 lines of cv. Gediz-75 and Sfem-1, 2, 3 lines of cv. Sofu showed a better agronomic performance than the others

Abstract: Problem: Education is not a process that takes place only at schools. A student spends only a certain time at school andspends his free time after school with his family and social circle. As a consequence, a large part of young people’s success atschool is described by the characteristics of his family, and parents’ inadequate participation in education is seen as one of themost important reason in their failure. For this reason, families are one of the most important and indispensable parties for theschools to have continuous cooperation. To ensure this cooperation; managers, teachers and families should act knowing abouteach others’ expectations and needs. Perception of school managers and teachers about parents may help to determine theobstacles in the participation of parents in education, caused by both parents and managers and teachers.Aim: The aim of the research is to identify perceptions of primary school principles and teachers about parents usingmetaphor analysis.Method: This research is a descriptive analysis to determine the current status and to analyze. In this research, qualitativeresearch technique was used to collect, analyze and interpret data and technically metaphor analysis was used. Study group of thisresearch consists of 73 primary school managers and 154 teachers working in 3 central districts of Konya MetropolitanMunicipality in the academic year 2008-2009. The study group was asked to complete the sentences starting with “Parents looklike..., because ...” to collect data. Data were analyzed by content analysis method. Analyzing was performed in four phases. In thefirst phase, metaphors developed by each participant were encoded by analyzing the sentences completed by managers andteachers. Papers, in which a certain metaphor was not framed or in which there was no logical explanation for the metaphors or inwhich the participant was not specific about the feature of students’ guardians were eliminated. After this process, a total of 104papers from 38 managers and 67 teachers were evaluated. After analyzing the papers, a total of 64 metaphors were obtained. Inthe second step, metaphors produced by the participants were grouped into 9 themes according to their explanations. In thisphase, studies for validity and credibility were also done. To provide validity, data were comprehensively reported and how theresults were obtained was told in detail. To provide credibility, the ratio of the consensus among the encoders was used, it wasseen that the ratio of the consensus among the encoders was 87,3 %. In the third phase, a table is cr

Asian Journal of Plant Sciences , 2005,
Abstract: The aim of the study was to select mutant lines having a better agronomic potential than the mother variety Sofu of durum wheat (Triticum durum Desf.) in the M6 and M7 generations. The seeds were either irradiated with g rays at Cobalt 60 (60Co) or treated with Ethyl-Methane-Sulfonate (EMS). Selection of mutants was carried out in the segregating (M2, M3) generations. Mutants were first tested for yield and other agronomic characteristics in the M4 and M5 generations. Twelve selected mutants and the mother variety Sofu were examined in the M6 and M7 generations for yield and quality characteristics. The experiments were organized in a Randomized Complete Block Design with 3 replications. Results revealed that any of these mutants could be used directly as new varieties. However, Sfga-7 showed yield stability across different environments, but the increases were not significant compared with Sofu. Sfga-5 had percentages of yellowberry kernels close to those of Sofu in both generations. This line with its high quality is a promising parent candidate for quality breeding. Therefore, more information on the new years and locations would greatly facilitate the evaluation of these lines. In addition, the utilization of the reduced plant height of Sfga-8 by crossing to the Sofu or other varieties could give rise to new lines whose agronomic features could be superior to those of both parents.

African Journal of Biotechnology , 2009,
Abstract: In the present study, liver, lung, heart and kidney superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), catalase (CAT) activities, lipid peroxidation, nitrite and vitamin C levels were investigated in diabetic rats. Diabetes induced in rats by streptozotocin (STZ) and the treated rats were received 1 g/l vitamin C with 0.5 mM CoCl2 in drinking water for eigth weeks. In all tissues, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, catalase activities, lipid peroxidation and nitrite levels were significantly increased in diabetic rats at the end of 8th week (p < 0.05) whereas vitamin C level was decreased compared to those of controls. Cobalt with vitamin C treatment of diabetic rats resulted in partial restoration of SOD and CAT activities, thiobarbituric acid reactant substances (TBARS), vitamin C and nitrite levels at all times studied, whereas treatment did not significantly change GSH-Px activity compared to diabetics. These results suggest that cobalt with vitamin C, effectively but could not completely restore the altered endogenous defense systems in diabetic rat liver, lung, heart and kidney tissues.

Türk Patoloji Dergisi , 2012,
Abstract: Myxoma is a rare mesenchymal tumor and it is mainly seen in heart and skin. Renal myxoma is extremely rare. To date, eleven cases of kidney myxomas have been reported in the literature. One of them is myxoma of the renal sinus. Our case was an 82-year-old man admitted to our hospital symptoms related to the urinary tract obstruction. Abdominal computerized tomography revealed a solid, hypodense mass 9 cm in diameter infiltrating the renal parenchyma in the renal pelvis. The patient underwent nephrectomy. The resected kidney contained gelatinous tumor with indistinct borders. The tumor was composed of slender, bland, spindle-shaped cells with large amounts of mucoid material. Tumor cells were positively stained with vimentin, focally stained positive for smooth muscle actin and had negative reactivity for S-100 protein, epithelial membrane antigen and pancytokeratin. Herein we report the second case of renal myxoma arising from the renal sinus.
