Abstract: No presente artigo procuro narrar como foi sendo constituída minha identidade de professora, a partir das lembran as, da minha história de estudante, do processo de forma o vivido, das experiências que tive, até a reflex o sobre a realidade na qual me insiro atualmente, atuando como professora de ensino fundamental, na Escola Padre Francisco Silva da Rede Municipal de Campinas, desde 2003. A inser o nessa realidade rica e dinamica promove inquieta es, entre elas o questionamento sobre como a forma o que temos na universidade n o dá conta da complexidade dos processos vividos no cotidiano escolar, com crian as concretas, cada qual com suas especificidades, como o trabalho com a heterogeneidade, a auto-imagem dos grupos e das crian as, as rela es interpessoais, a avalia o, o sistema seriado, os tempos, os limites e as possibilidades. Entrar na escola também implicou perceber que as possibilidades de atua o se ampliam, quando há o desejo pela mudan a e o compromisso social das pessoas que integram os diferentes espa os coletivos da nossa escola, em realizar essa transforma o. O processo de forma o é continuo na rela o com as crian as e nos diferentes espa os de reflex o coletiva que a gest o proporciona aos profissionais da educa o em nossa escola. In the present article, I relate the way my teacher identity was constituted: my chilhood memories, my student history, the rearing process I went through, my experiences and even my meditations about the reality I live with. Since 2003, I am an elementary school teacher at Escola Padre Francisco Silva, a pubilc school of Campinas municipality. My presence in this rich and dynamic reality promotes turmoil such as: (i) my questioning about the fact that the education we receive in the university is not enough to deal with the complex processes lived everyday in a school, with real childen, each one with his/her own peculiarities; (ii) work with the heterogenity, the group and children self-image, the interpersonal relationships, the evaluation, the serial system, the limits and the possibilities. To be in a school made me realize that the possibilites of acting are ample when there are the wish to change and the social commitment from the people, who integrate the different common space of our school, to make this transformation. Education is a continuous process with the children and in the different meditation spaces that managers provide to the education professionals of our school. Abstract: A partir do olhar de uma profissional de educa o que, atualmente, ocupa o lugar de orientadora pedagógica de uma escola pública municipal de educa o fundamental, este artigo busca relatar um determinado percurso vivenciado por um subgrupo de profissionais na escola, evidenciando um diálogo reflexivo entre as práticas cotidianas e as rela es interpessoais no espa o escolar. Desta forma, reflete o exercício de produ o de conhecimento e pesquisa na escola e aborda, fundamentalmente, a importancia do grupo na constitui o do sujeito que, ao fazer emergir quest es do seu cotidiano, direciona seu estudo, tendo como foco alguns elementos: a reflex o sobre o conceito de aula a partir da discuss o sobre projetos e outras atividades escolares, a humaniza o das rela es, os diversos tempos escolares e os vínculos que aí se constituem, os entraves pessoais e institucionais na transforma o dos tempos regulamentados em tempos de convívio, e a importancia da teoria na (re) elabora o de conceitos, com base na afirma o de que o desenvolvimento do indivíduo n o depende apenas do aspecto organico, mas principalmente, da qualidade das intera es que mantém com o meio em que vive. With the point of view from a education professional that, actually, occupies the place of pedagogical guide of a municipal public school of primary education, this article intends to report a determinate course lived by a subgroup of professionals at the school, evidencing a reflexive dialog between quotidian practices and interpersonal relations at the school space. This way, reflects the knowledge production and research exercise at the school and approaching, fundamentally, the group importance in the subject constitution that, at the time he makes emerge questions about his quotidian, directs its study having as focus the following elements: the reflection about the class concept beginning with the discussion projects and other school activities, the humanization of relations, the diverse school times and the connections made since then, the personal and institutional difficulties in the transformation of the ruled times into sociability times and the importance of theory in the concept (re) elaboration, based on the affirmation that subject development depend not only of the organic appearance, but mainly of the quality of the interaction that sustain the media in which he lives. Abstract: over the last two decades, the increased interest in the six sigma methodology has stimulated the use of statistical methods and other quantitative approaches not only to improve product quality, services, and processes, but also for organizational performance and decision making process. this paper examines the application of the statistical approach in the context of quality management in medium and large food industries from s?o paulo. the purpose of this paper are: to identify the statistical tools and techniques that have been more widely utilized in quality management in the food industry; to evaluate the relationship between the use of these statistical tools and the implementation of quality and food safety programs, such as the good manufacturing practices and hazard analysis critical control point (haccp); and to evaluate the relevance degree of the benefits of the statistical thinking application. the findings of an exploratory-descriptive study show that the statistical approach has been more valued and used by the food industry, like in other economic sectors, due to its significant benefits. there are evidences that the successful implementation of food safety programs is of paramount importance to the effective use of statistical and other quantitative approaches in the food industry.
Production of reactive oxygen species in peanut nodules

Abstract: In this study, it was investigated the reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in peanut nodules at three peanut growth stages (R): R1 (flowering), R4 (full pod) and R6 (full seed). Analysis of ROS production showed that superoxide anion and hydrogen peroxide contents decreased while lipid peroxidation and protein oxidation remained unchanged throughout nodule development. Furthermore, it was found that the inside of formed nodules was 100% red at (R1), 54% at (R4) and 39% at (R6), respectively. The total soluble protein content decreased while leghemoglobin content remained unaltered at different growth stages. Thus, our findings suggest that ROS production is not involved in the peanut nodule senescence indicating that this process would not be accompanied by an oxidative burst. It is possible to suggest that the antioxidant system would play an important role in the protection of peanut nodules against ROS production.

Abstract: Este artículo presenta una síntesis de los resultados de un estudio cualitativo que permitió inferir, entre otras conclusiones, que la relación de los adolescentes con las tecnologías se construye desde una serie de componentes que conforman su hábitus tecnológico, su experiencia y la representación que han elaborado de las aplicaciones de las mismas a la educación. El trabajo apuntó a conocer los modos de uso y de consumo de programas de televisión y de las nuevas tecnologías comunicacionales, que realizan estudiantes de cuarto a o del nivel medio, de establecimientos oficiales y privados, de distintos sectores sociales de la ciudad de Córdoba y proporcionar información cualitativa a los distintos sectores vinculados con la educación media para la realización de estudios posteriores, el dise o curricular y el dise o de proyectos y prácticas de intervención en el campo de los medios de comunicación y las nuevas tecnologías.

Abstract: Styrene is an organic solvent used as a diluting reagent for non saturated polyester resins. It has disagreeable scent and it is a well-known irritating agent for the eyes, nose and throat. To high concentrations, it produces narcosis and its repeated exposure can induce cytogenesis of peripheral lymphocytes from people exposed in their occupational environment. The objects made with reinforced resins can emit styrene steam to the indoor environment, which involves the worker's exposure to this toxic solvent. In Uruguay, some administrative, monitoring, commerce, and more tasks are carried out in those fiber glass cabins which are manufactured with those resins The aim of this study is the evaluation of the hygienic risks to exposed workers from a particular company who performs their administrative tasks in reinforced fiber glass cabins Environmental and biological samplings were made in three populated country sites of Uruguay. The reference values used were those of the American Conference of Industrial Governmental Hygienists of 2002 (ACGIH). The results of this study demonstrates that the workers exposure to styrene vapors from the cabin that was their work places have the risks described for these products. Considering the obtained results, the company moved those workers to other safety areas, while the property conditions for the accomplishment of the administrative tasks were obtained
Valor prognóstico da ecocardiografia com estresse pela dobutamina associada à atropina

Abstract: OBJETIVO: Avaliar o valor prognóstico para eventos cardíacos maiores da ecocardiografia com estresse pela dobutamina associada à atropina (EEDA). MéTODOS: Estudados 452 pacientes consecutivos, com alto risco para presen a de doen a arterial coronária, acompanhados por um período médio de 23 meses. RESULTADOS: Houve 9 mortes cardíacas e 2 infartos agudos do miocárdio em pacientes com EEDA positiva e 2 infartos e 1 morte cardíaca em pacientes com EEDA negativa. CONCLUS O: A EEDA é capaz de identificar pacientes de alto risco para eventos maiores.
Opening a Pandora's Box: Proper Names in English Phraseology

Abstract: This article explores the linguistic-cultural aspects and usage of phraseological units involving personal and place names in English. The introductory sections outline the linguistic features of proper names and phraseological units. The qualitative part of this study provides a list of units belonging to four phraseological types (idioms, stereotyped similes, binomials, formulae), drawn from idiom dictionaries. An investigation of the sources of names shows that the personal and place names involved are historically, socially or culturally prominent in British culture. Here is noted a predominance of personal over place names, and within the former, a predominance of male over female names, and first names over family names, with a number of hypocorisms. The quantitative part of the study consists of a corpus search of the selected units in the British National Corpus in order to find their frequency and distribution across registers. The search reveals that they have very low levels of occurrence, and are more commonly used in written registers, in particular, in fiction, journalism and miscellaneous texts.
