Mathematics , 2013,
Abstract: Mutation of torsion pairs in triangulated categories and its combinatorial interpretation for the cluster category of Dynkin type $A_n$ and of type $A_\infty$ have been studied by Zhou and Zhu. In this paper we present a combinatorial model for mutation of torsion pairs in the cluster category of Dynkin type $D_n$, using Ptolemy diagrams of Dynkin type $D_n$ which were introduced by Holm, J{\o}rgensen and Rubey.
Cluster algebras of infinite rank as colimits
Sira Gratz
Mathematics , 2014,
Abstract: We formalize the way in which one can think about cluster algebras of infinite rank by showing that every rooted cluster algebra of infinite rank can be written as a colimit of rooted cluster algebras of finite rank. Relying on the proof of the posivity conjecture for skew-symmetric cluster algebras (of finite rank) by Lee and Schiffler, it follows as a direct consequence that the positivity conjecture holds for cluster algebras of infinite rank. Furthermore, we give a sufficient and necessary condition for a ring homomorphism between cluster algebras to give rise to a rooted cluster morphism without specializations. Assem, Dupont and Schiffler proposed the problem of a classification of ideal rooted cluster morphisms. We provide a partial solution by showing that every rooted cluster morphism without specializations is ideal, but in general rooted cluster morphisms are not ideal.

Abstract: the paper describes part of a research concerned with the planning of information systems (is). the prioritisation of the is is emphasised. strategic factors and critical aspects of processes are taken into account to obtaining the priority of the modules of is. the organisation strategic planning and the analysis of the business process are applied to set priorities for the whole is. the priorities of the is modules are established based on preference modelling using an additive value function. finally a case study based on a design of a particular information system (is) is presented, including output result for the case study.
Stochastic Simulations of the Repressilator Circuit
Adiel Loinger,Ofer Biham
Quantitative Biology , 2007, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevE.76.051917
Abstract: The genetic repressilator circuit consists of three transcription factors, or repressors, which negatively regulate each other in a cyclic manner. This circuit was synthetically constructed on plasmids in {\it Escherichia coli} and was found to exhibit oscillations in the concentrations of the three repressors. Since the repressors and their binding sites often appear in low copy numbers, the oscillations are noisy and irregular. Therefore, the repressilator circuit cannot be fully analyzed using deterministic methods such as rate-equations. Here we perform stochastic analysis of the repressilator circuit using the master equation and Monte Carlo simulations. It is found that fluctuations modify the range of conditions in which oscillations appear as well as their amplitude and period, compared to the deterministic equations. The deterministic and stochastic approaches coincide only in the limit in which all the relevant components, including free proteins, plasmids and bound proteins, appear in high copy numbers. We also find that subtle features such as cooperative binding and bound-repressor degradation strongly affect the existence and properties of the oscillations.
The Need for a Family Policy That Fosters Family as an Institution  [PDF]
Josu Ahedo Ruiz
Sociology Mind (SM) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/sm.2015.51001
Abstract: The 20th anniversary of the international year of the family has led to the General Assembly of the United Nations to ask for a review of family policies adopted by each country to achieve three objectives: eradication of poverty, full employment and social integration. However, an X-ray of the situation of the family according to the data provided by The Word Family Map (2013) says that it has decreased the rate of birth and marriage, while it has increased the cohabitation and births in other than the traditional family forms such as single-parent families. This article advocates the need to institutionalize family policies focused on promoting a family culture to achieve the replacement birth rate. In addition, the current trends reveal that the future family models require the women integration in the working world and therefore family policies should focus on supporting a model that includes working women, as Sweden has been adopting since 1984. At the same time, family policies should solve the risk of new trends which leads to poverty situations that affects children development. Therefore, it is also necessary to determine measures to improve the understanding of a working family life.
A Model for Solving the Maxwell Quasi Stationary Equations in a 3-Phase Electric Reduction Furnace
S. Ekrann,Terje Sira
Modeling, Identification and Control , 1982, DOI: 10.4173/mic.1982.4.4
Abstract: A computer code has been developed for the approximate computation of electric and magnetic fields within an electric reduction furnace. The paper describes the numerical methods used to solve Maxwell's quasi-stationary equations, which are the governing equations for this problem. The equations are discretized by a staggered grid finite difference technique. The resulting algebraic equations are solved by iterating between computations of electric and magnetic quantities. This 'outer' iteration converges only when the skin depth is larger or of about the same magnitude as the linear dimensions of the computational domain. In solving for electric quantities with magnetic quantities being regarded as known, and vice versa, the central computational task is the solution of a Poisson equation for a scalar potential. These equations are solved by line successive overrelaxation combined with a rebalancing technique.
Temperature and flow distribution in planar SOFC stacks
Monica ?stenstad,Terje Sira
Modeling, Identification and Control , 1995, DOI: 10.4173/mic.1995.3.1
Abstract: Simulation of a planar Solid Oxide Fuel Cell stack requires the solution of the mass balances of the chemical species, the energy balances, the charge balance and the channel flow equations in order to compute the species concentrations, the temperature distributions, the current density and the channel flows. The unit cell geometry can be taken into account by combining detailed modeling of a unit cell with a homogenized model of a whole stack. In this study the effect of the asymmetric temperature distribution on the channel flows in a conventional cross-flow design has been investigated. The bidirectional cross-flow design is introduced, for which we can show more directional temperature and flow distributions.
