The main goal of this paper is to develop stable isotope analysis of carbon and nitrogen for human remains recovered in the North Coast of Santa Cruz (Southern Patagonia, Argentina). We discussed the patterns generated by previous archaeological and ethnohistorical studies for this sector in relation to the use of marine resources by hunter-gatherer societies of the Late Holocene. Archaeological and ethnohistorical studies have proposed an intensive use of marine resources, which was supported both by the distribution and density of the archaeological record in coastal settings as well as the prevalence of marine taxa in the zooarchaeological record and the presence of tecnology related to the exploitation of coastal and marine resources. Values of d13C and d15N on 10 individuals recovered from the North Coast of Santa Cruz are pre-sented in order to assess the relative importa

Abstract: anthropometric methods used to estimate muscle mass (mm) do not specify values for body segments, a critical fact for individuals practicing physical activities or clinical diagnosis. in this study, 60 recreational athletes are anthropometrically evaluated and also undergo dual energy x-ray absorptiometry. linear regression statistics is subsequently used to establish the constants allowing the obtaining of the segment mm. three equations were obtained, one for the upper members: mmul = (0.533*fap) - (0.176*rap) + (0.42*wp) + (0.282*srl) - 19,985; a second equation for muscle mass of the lower members: mmll = (0.186*h) - (0.158*lttl) - (0.024*ltl) + (0451*lp) - 24.535; and the third one for the muscle mass of the trunk trmm = (0.026*w) + (0.046*h) + (0.154*ttd) + (0.025*np) - (0.025*ap) - 5.839. these equations enable getting detailed information on the mm distribution through an easy-to-access and fast technique, such as the anthropometry, from a gold standard method like dexa.

Abstract: the aim of this investigation is to create a regression formula that allows establishing the quantity of muscle mass for limb considering "gold standard " to the dexa method. 20 amateur cyclists trained are evaluated considering 45 anthropometrics measures, later applying the method dexa across equations of regression in the platform spss 17, a formula of estimation is established for muscle mass of the upper limb where, mmes (kg) = ((height - fold triceps) x (0.043 x perimeter relaxed arm2) - weigh) / 1000, with a value r = 0.83 and one mistake estimated of 0,61 kg. for the muscle mass for low limb it is established, mmei (kg) = (height - adds folds thigh and leg) x diameter femoral2 + (perimeter average thigh + perimeter leg) / 1000, with r= 0.74 and estimation error of 1.2 kg. the determination of these components by segment, improve the specificity of the anatomical knowledge of individuals of different populations, particularly in sportsmen, who defer his distribution of tissue according to the sports discipline and at a very low cost, since anthropometry does.

Abstract: the main goal of this paper is to develop stable isotope analysis of carbon and nitrogen for human remains recovered in the north coast of santa cruz (southern patagonia, argentina). we discussed the patterns generated by previous archaeological and ethnohistorical studies for this sector in relation to the use of marine resources by hunter-gatherer societies of the late holocene. archaeological and ethnohistorical studies have proposed an intensive use of marine resources, which was supported both by the distribution and density of the archaeological record in coastal settings as well as the prevalence of marine taxa in the zooarchaeological record and the presence of tecnology related to the exploitation of coastal and marine resources. values of d13c and d15n on 10 individuals recovered from the north coast of santa cruz are pre-sented in order to assess the relative importance of marine resources in human palaeodiets. the results shows a moderate variability of the satable isotopes values, suggesting marine-continental mixed diets. this interpretation contrasts with the fact that archaeofaunal record is dominated by marine resources in coastal settings. therefore, it is proposed an intensive but not exclusive use of resources from coastal areas in subsistence patterns of hunter-gatherers. we suggest complementary movements between littoral environments and nearby interior areas, where terrestrial resources could have been exploited. further-more, the isotopic analysis shows that the use of marine resources in this sector was not more intense than that recorded in other coastal areas from continental patagonia.

Abstract: ever since the eighties, when the neoconservative reaction arises, the predominance of the free-market ideas and the goal of creating a single world capitalist market were reinforced by the weakening of the ussr and its posterior collapse. with the rise of neo-conservatism in the u.s. the old monroe project is once again operative, now under the guise of the ftaa. this cannot be regarded as a simple scheme of economic and commercial integration. its design and consequences go well beyond that to affect liberty, justice, democracy, equality, human rights, ecological sustainability, national self-determination and general well-being. the anti-ftaa movements should not be only centered in the economic consequences of the ftaa but should take into consideration the totality of components of the project.

Abstract: raised in an italianmigrant peronist barrage i followed the changes in the country of constant bids between religion, education and external interventions that led me into exile, first becaused the result of franco in spain fanaticism that fueled the hallucinations and determined to rebuild argentina in the heavenly order of christendom diabolically destroyed since the renaissance and modernity and followed by a few years later misnamed ?revoluciónargentina? that would confirm the expediency of the project to form ?catholic leaders? to renew country, one renovation that must came from the hand of ?the last aristocracy? accompanied to the negation in the opening to marxism. the fertile dialogue between christians andmarxists opened the door for the study of marxism and my subsequent intense and unswerving adherence to this theory and that worldview. an essential role in this transition allowedme to leave the cave towhich plato refers in his republic and see the light of the sun and the reality as it is played in addition to the ideological climate of the sixties and the influence of argentina nuclear jesuits in cias, enlightened heralds of liberation theology.
