Molecular Regulation of Noradrenaline in Bovine Corpus Luteum

Abstract: Noradrenergic stimulation increases progesterone, oxytocin and prostaglandins in the bovine luteal tissue. Better understanding of noradrenaline (NA) role in bovine the corpus luteum (CL) can advance our current knowledge on the regulatory mechanism of CL function. The present study was conducted to explore the source of noradrenaline and further to investigate whether nerve growth factor (NGF), insulin like growth factor 1 (IGF1) and transforming growth factor β1 (TGFβ1) influence the expression of dopamine-β-hydroxylase (DBH), biosynthetic enzyme of NA in cultured bovine luteal cells. Corpora lutea were collected and classified into stages of early, developing, mid, late, and regressed. Messenger RNA (mRNA) and protein expression of DBH werestudied throughout the estrous cycle. Additionally, DBH protein expression was examined in cultured mid luteal cells after tumour necrosis factor alpha/interferon gamma (TNFα/IFNγ)-induced apoptosis or after treatment with NGF, IGF1, and TGFβ1. DBH mRNA and protein expressions were detected throughout the cycle without significant changes in the protein level while mRNA showed a decrease at the developing stage (P < 0.05). Interestingly, NGF, IGF1, and TGFβ1 increased DBH expression in cultured luteal cells (P < 0.05). The overall findings suggest non-neural source of noradrenaline in the bovine CL which appears to be regulated by NGF, GF1, and TGFβ1 indicating intraluteal molecules play an important and unrecognized role in the CL function.
Development Study of Turbulent Kappa-Epsilon Model for Recirculation flow III : Two Dimension Recirculation Flow in a Reservoir

Abstract: An assessment of recirculation flow in Jatiluhur reservoir is conducted based on two dimensions turbulent K-e model. The numerical model was developed using finite difference method where hydrodynamic equation was solved by the combination of Mc Cormack and splitting methods. The K-e equation is solved using quickest scheme in convection term, central scheme in diffusion term and Euler scheme in reaction term. The simulations were done for maximum incoming flow during the rainy season and the dry season. Model results for the rainy season case have shown good agreement with those found by field measurement. The rainy season case generated a much recirculted flow and higher concentration of DO in the reservoir than that of the dry season case. Denser grid and high courant number is needed to avoid it from becoming oscillating and unstable and for achieving a more accurate results for the case with less average velocity.
IM - DeCRUD Prototype: A Tool t o Support Engineering Tasks f or Requirements and Design Crosscutting Concerns

Abstract: Identification, Modularization, Design Composition Rule and Conflict Dissolution (IM-DeCRuD) approach has been proposed previously in order to promote a simple but significant way to support rapid changes of crosscutting concerns at requirementsand design phases for various sizes of software development and maintenance projects. In this research, a tailored-designprototype tool has been developed as a proof-of-concept of the proposed IM-DeCRuD approach. Four main features of theidentified IM-DeCRUD prototype are: requirements specification definition, requirements specification modification,requirements prioritization setting and graphics visualizing representation. These components have been developed usingGenericModeling Environment (GME) case tool and Java language is used as an interpreter to incorporate the prototypefeatures. Simple case study of a library system is applied to assess the applicability of the IM-DeCRuD prototype. As a result,the prototype hasshown its ability to simplify the tedious of engineering process of requirements and design crosscuttingconcerns during the software development and evolution activities.
FORMULASI LEDOK INSTAN YANG DITAMBAHKAN IKAN TONGKOL DAN RUMPUT LAUT [Instant Ledok Formulation by Addition of Frigate Mackerel and Seaweed]

Abstract: Ledok is a traditional food from Nusa Penida, Bali, in form of non-rice porridge. The main ingredients of ledok are corn and cassava, and other ingredients are peanut, red bean and spinach. These ingredients are locally available. In this study, nutrient content of instant ledok was increased through improving the formulation by adding frigate mackerel and seaweed. The study was conducted in order to find out the best formulation of instant ledok. The experiment was carried out through a Random Block Design, with five formulations of frigate mackerel and seaweed ratio in two replicates. The treatment was ratio of frigate mackerel and seaweed: (1) RI = 0 : 0, (2) R2 = 0 : 30, (3) R3 = 10 : 20, (4) R4 = 20 : 10 and (5) R5 = 30 : 0. The characteristics of instant ledok observed were: sensory characteristics and nutrient contents. The results of the study showed that there was no significant effect of formulation to acceptability of colour and odour, but there were significant effects to taste, texture and general acceptability of instant ledok. The best formulation of instant ledok was formulation R5 with addition of frigate mackerel and seaweed ratio of 30 : 0.The nutrition contents of this instant ledok were 79.60% of water, 0.74% of ash, 3.17% of protein, 3.85% of fat, 12.64% of carbohydrate, 21.15 mg/100 g of vitamin C and 3.43% of vitamin C.

Abstract: The rapid development of technology nowadays has major impact to the development of cellular technology. This development led to a new wide range of smartphone. The growth of life nowadays requires people to work more quickly, so that they can use the time more effective and increase the performance. The process which done manually takes a lot more time than the process which done automatically, because the process which done manually have a higher risk of error than the process which done automatically. The process that are still done manually is recording the amount of customer water consumption in PDAM (Regional Water Company). This problem can be solved by creating mobile application that can record the water meter and then automatically send the data of the customer and the amount of water use directly to the computer server and calculated automatically. This application can solve the problem in recording the water meter.
POTENSI NIRA KELAPA SEBAGAI BAHAN BAKU BIOETANOL

Abstract: The objective of this reseach was to determine the frequency of destilation in production of bioethanol produced from coconut sap, as well as to determine the quality of bioethanol. Three steps were conducted in production of bioethanol : the first step was fermentation of coconut sap in room temperature for two days, the second step was destilation of fermented coconut sap (tuak) at 780C to make the alcohol content ?94%, and the last step was determination of the quality of bioethanol. The result showed that the frequency of destilation in production of bioethanol from coconut sap was 14 times with alcohol content 92,17%. The yield was 4,83%, the quality of bioethanol was ethanol content 95,13%, density 0,766 kg/ltr, specific gravity 0,786, API gravity 48,61 and heat energy 11.211,94 kkal/kg. In conclution, the bioethanol produced from coconut sap in this research met with Indonesian Standard National (SNI) of bioethanol.
