Dystocia Ystocia Due to Due to Mummifiedummified Foetaloetal Monsteronster in ain a Yankasaankasa Ewewe: A Casease Reporteport
A.I. Kisani,N. Wachida
International Journal of Animal and Veterinary Advances , 2012,
Abstract: A 1 year old Yyankasa ewe weighing 24 kg was presented to the Large Animal Clinic unit of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, University of Agriculture Makurdi, Nigeria. The owner with the complained t that she has been in labour for 24 h without delivery. Vital parameters were taken and found to be within the normal ranges. the The patient underwent general and obstetrical animal was examinationed. A diagnosis of dystocia was made with Tthe foetus was found to be in anterior presentation of the fetus, bilateral with the carpalus and shoulder flexioned and the neck deviated laterally.lateral deviation of the neck. Manual traction to deliver the foetus was not successful. Caesarean section was performed with the patient under sedation and epidural anaesthesiatherefore recommended. This was carried out and the dead foetus removed. Recovery post surgery was complete and the ewe was discharged five days post surgery.
Uterine Prolapse in a Doe Goat: A Case Report
N. Wachida,A.I. Kisani
International Journal of Animal and Veterinary Advances , 2011,
Abstract: This study reports a case of uterine prolapse in a doe goat. The animal was brought to the hospital with complaint of prolapse of the uterus. The everted organ was carefully assessed and gross debris removed by washing with dilute chlorhexidine solution. Epidural anaesthesia was achieved using lignocain solution. The prolapsed uterus was replaced and retention suture was placed on the vulva to prevent reprolapse. Oxytocin, dexamethasone, broad-spectrum antibiotics (penicillin and streptomycin) were administered intramuscularly. The animal was hospitalized for closed monitoring. There was no recurrence. Sutures were removed and the animal was discharged from the hospital.
Efficacy of Intravenous Administration of Ephedrine for Prevention of Xylazine-Induced Hypotension in Camels (Camelus dromedarius)
A.I. Almubarak
Journal of Animal and Veterinary Advances , 2012, DOI: 10.3923/javaa.2012.4460.4464
Abstract: The effects of ephedrine on Arterial Blood Pressure (ABP), heart rate, respiratory rate and some haematology and biochemistry parameters were carried out on six camels in two periods. In the first period, all camels received Intravenous (IV) 0.2 mg kg-1 xylazine while in the second period, same camels received IV 0.2 mg kg-1 ephedrine followed 10 min later by IV 0.2 mg kg-1 ephedrine and 0.2 mg kg-1 xylazine administered at same time. Cardiopulmonary measurements were taken at baseline and were further recorded at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 min after treatment in both groups. Mean heart rate, respiratory rate and ABP measurements decreased significantly after xylazine in the first period. Mean heart rate in the second period decreased significantly at all times compared to baseline and to first period while mean ABP measurements were significantly higher at 10, 20, 30 and 40 min compared to first period. There was a significant decrease of Platelet count (PLT), Haemoglobin (HB), Urea Nitrogen (BUN), Albumen (ALB), Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and Glucose (GLU) in the first period compared to the second period and there was significant increase of Calcium (Ca) and potassium (K+) after treatments in the second period. Ephedrine was safe and effective in improving ABP in xylazine induced hypotension in camels.
Evaluation of Intravenous Administration of Doxapram Prior to Xylazine Sedation in Camels (Camelus dromedarius)
A.I. Almubarak
Journal of Animal and Veterinary Advances , 2012, DOI: 10.3923/javaa.2012.4455.4459
Abstract: The effects of doxapram on respiratory rate, heart rate, Arterial Blood Pressure (ABP) and some haematology and biochemistry parameters were carried out on six camels in two periods. In the first period, all camels received Intravenous (IV) 0.2 mg kg-1 xylazine while in the second period, same camels received IV 0.4 mg kg-1 doxapram, followed 10 min later by IV 0.2 mg kg-1 xylazine. Cardiopulmonary measurements were taken at baseline and were further recorded at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 min after treatment in both periods. Mean respiratory rate, heart rate and ABP measurements decreased significantly after xylazine in the first period. Mean respiratory rate in the second period increased significantly at 10 min while systolic ABP increased significantly at 30 min when compared with first period. Mean heart rate decreased significantly at 20 min in the second period when compared with first period. There was a significant differences between the two periods in some measured haematological and biochemical parameters. Doxapram was useful to increase respiratory rate and ABP in xylazine sedated camels. Higher doses of doxapram needed further investigation in camels.
Surgical Sepsis: a Current State of the Problem
A.I. Abelevich
Sovremennye Tehnologii v Medicine , 2011,
Abstract: An up-to-date sepsis classification is presented, a clinical presentation is systematized, and the problems of laboratory diagnostics are considered in detail. The treatment concepts are given. Pathological changes occurring in sepsis in various organs and systems are analyzed. There is shown a diagnostic algorithm acceptable both in the presence and in the absence of laboratory verification of a disease. A starting antibacterial therapy is recommended as empirical depending on the localization of a primary infection focus, the character of wound process and systemic infection manifestations.

The specialties of the behavior of green tourism’s consumer
A.I. Zinchenko
Marketing ì Mened?ment Innovacìj , 2011,
Abstract: Therere described different ways of determination of the definition needs and motives, also therere defined the factors which influenced on appearance of new types of tourism with the change of needs of consumers. Therere systemized the factors of internal (individual) and external characteristic for three segment groups of consumers of green tourism product. Therere determined, that tourist product has to connect with the requirements of consumers and to delight the customers, creating a healthy consumer.
On the New Gauge Transformations of Maxwell's Equations
Arbab A.I.
Progress in Physics , 2009,
Abstract: We have found new gauge transformations that are compatible with Maxwell’s equations and Lorentz gauge. With these transformations, we have formulated the electrodynamic equations that are shown to be invariant. New generalized continuity equations are derived that are also compatible with Maxwell’s equations. Moreover, we have shown that the electromagnetic wave travels with speed of light in vacuum or amedium with free charge or current if the generalized continuity equations are satisfied. Magnetic monopoles don’t show up in ordinary experiments because the Lorentz force acting on the magnetic charge is zero.
