Abstract: Frameworks provide large scale reuse by providing skeleton structure of similar applications. But the generality, that a framework may have, makes it fairly complex, hard to understand and thus to reuse. Frameworks have been classified according to many criteria. This paper proposes two types of framework (based on the concept of ‘generality’) named as: tight framework and loose framework. A case study is done by developing loose and tight frameworks for the appli-cation sets of Environment for Unit testing (EUT) domain. Based on the experience that we got by during this case study, we tried to find out the benefits of one (tight or loose) framework over the other. This work attempts to provide an initial background for meaningful studies related to the concept of ‘Design and Development of Framework’.

Abstract: Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major global health problem, particularly in many of the developing countries including India. Some of the factors that have substantially contributed to the number of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR- TB) and extensively drug resistant tuberculosis (XDR- TB) cases both in general and among HIV infected persons are- the delay in the diagnosis as well as delayed determination in the drug susceptibility of the isolated organism. In the present article, an attempt has been made to review various techniques/methods available for the diagnosis of tuberculosis and their applications along with the advantages and disadvantages/ limitations.

Abstract: The attainment of a better understanding and improvement of electrical properties of ternary blend is a task of particular scientific and economic importance. Ternary films of Poly (methylmethacrylate), Poly (ethlymathacrylate) and poly (vinlylidenefluoride) were prepared using solution cast technique. Thereafter, to study the hetro charges, homo-charges and interfacial charge formation in ternary system, the short circuit thermally stimulated discharge current (SC-TSDC) measurements were carried out on bilaterally metallized electrets. The ternary blend samples taken for the present investigations are hetrogeneous system involving three polymers differing in their conduction behaviour and dielectric property. Thus, unequal ohmic conduction currents arriving at the interface are expected to result in accumulation of charges at the interface or the Maxwell-Wagner effect. Clearly the Maxwell Wagner effect is expected to contribute discernibly to the observed TSDC’s of the ternary blends. The PMMA: PEMA: PVDF:: 100:100:50 blend exhibits highest tendency while 100:50:100 the least, towards the anomalous current flow. Moreover, the conductivity of 100: 100: 50 is found to be more and, therefore, a large amount of homocharge is injected leading to anomalous current.

Abstract: This paper investigates the propagation of horizontally polarised shear waves due to a point source in a magnetoelastic self-reinforced layer lying over a heterogeneous self-reinforced half-space. The heterogeneity is caused by consideration of quadratic variation in rigidity. The methodology employed combines an efficient derivation for Green’s functions based on algebraic transformations with the perturbation approach. Dispersion equation has been obtained in the closed form. The dispersion curves are compared for different values of magnetoelastic coupling parameters and inhomogeneity parameters. Also, the comparative study is being made through graphs to find the effect of reinforcement over the reinforced-free case on the phase velocity. It is observed that the dispersion equation is in assertion with the classical Love-type wave equation in the absence of reinforcement, magnetic field and heterogeneity. Moreover, some important peculiarities have been observed in graphs.

Abstract: This paper deals with the study of propagation of G type waves along the plane surface at the interface of two different types of media. The upper medium is taken as monoclinic magnetoelastic layer whereas the lower half-space is inhomogeneous isotropic. Dispersion equation and condition for maximum energy flow near the surface are obtained in compact form. The dispersion equation is in assertion with the classical Love-type wave equation for the isotropic case. Effect of magnetic field and inhomogeneity on phase velocity and variation of group velocity with scaled wave number has been depicted by means of graphs. It is observed that inhomogenetity decreases phase velocity and the magnetic field has the favouring effect. A comparative study for the case of isotropic layer and monoclinic layer over the same isotropic inhomogeneous half space has been made through graphs.

Abstract: Mobile ad hoc Network (MANET) has a challenging task because of the dynamic and infrastructure less nature of the network. This dynamic nature leads to the difficulty in handoff, addressing, routing and data delivering process. For getting good QoS, better flexibility, effective and efficient handoff process in this dynamic network need better handoff mechanism for avoiding any discontinuity, packet loss, delay and jitter during handoff process. Therefore, it is necessary to make fast handoff based on group mobility and policy driven approach for this network. Thus, In this paper, We propose a policy based handoff mechanism with group mobility over hierarchical cluster based architecture involving proactive and reactive handoff approaches based on policy for nodes of MANET.
4D Edge Currents from 5D Chern-Simons Theory

Abstract: A class of two dimensional conformal field theories is known to correspond to three dimensional Chern-Simons theory. Here we claim that there is an analogous class of four dimensional field theories corresponding to five dimensional Chern-Simons theory. The four dimensional theories give a coupling between a scalar field and an external divergenceless vector field and they may have some application in magnetohydrodynamics. Like in conformal theories they possess a diffeomorphism symmetry, which for us is along the direction of the vector field, and their generators are analogous to Virasoro generators. Our analysis of the abelian Chern-Simons system uses elementary canonical methods for the quantization of field theories defined on manifolds with boundaries. Edge states appear for these systems and they yield a four dimensional current algebra. We examine the quantization of these algebras in several special cases and claim that a renormalization of the $5D$ Chern-Simons coupling is necessary for removing divergences.
Conditional Entropy based User Selection for Multiuser MIMO Systems

Abstract: We consider the problem of user subset selection for maximizing the sum rate of downlink multi-user MIMO systems. The brute-force search for the optimal user set becomes impractical as the total number of users in a cell increase. We propose a user selection algorithm based on conditional differential entropy. We apply the proposed algorithm on Block diagonalization scheme. Simulation results show that the proposed conditional entropy based algorithm offers better alternatives than the existing user selection algorithms. Furthermore, in terms of sum rate, the solution obtained by the proposed algorithm turns out to be close to the optimal solution with significantly lower computational complexity than brute-force search.
