Abstract: Regardless of the incessant debates on the question of “Whetherthere is a Woman s Literature or not?” within the literary circles, womanwriters are continuing to produce pieces of art within every genre ofliterature. One of these genres is detective fiction. In this present paper, the writer aims at investigating the formats of the man – womandiscourse in detective fiction and whilst doing this aims at exposing thedifferent ways the male writer and the female writer chooses forfictionalizing the crime and the value the fictional characters theycreated stands for the man – woman discourse. The method adopted isto take up main debates on the man – woman discourse to compare thetwo novels in their context and to draw general conclusions under eachdebate. The novels are approached both technically and content-wise.In the conclusion part, the deductions regarding the whole paper arestated. Open Journal of Urology (OJU) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/oju.2013.36049

Objective: Hypoactive Sexual Desire is characterized as a lack or absence of sexual fantasies and desire for sexual activity. The current study examines the effects of psycho-physiological therapy (stretch therapy combined with breathing exercise) on the sexual desire among heterosexual men. Methods: We used “convenience sampling” for this research; 80 people were recruited. For collection of data, we used an identical quasi-experimental design called “nonequivalent control group.” Therapy sessions each lasting (20) 90 to 120 min were carried out on 3 alternate days of week. The volunteers have been selected from heterosexual men with stable relationship, those who married minimum of 6 months, within 20 to 55 years old, who attended to HUSM Family Clinic. Pre-tests, post-tests, and follow-up tests were conducted in a HUSM clinic (Malaysia). For assessment we used Hurlbert Index of Sexual Desire (HISD). Results: The psycho-physiological group had better post-test scores compared to the control group. Also follow-up test scores were marginally better compared to the control group, but this difference did not reach statistical significance. Also age and education level of participants didn’t have any significant effect on this intervention.

Credit-Efficiency Relationship in the Banking Sector and Risk Analysis (Sample of Turkey)

International Journal of Lean Thinking , 2010,
Abstract: The The global financial crisis that transpired in 2008 had an impact on all sectors. Among the financial markets, the corporations working with the by-products have especially been affected more so compared to the others. Countries are printing money in an effort to reduce the effects of the financial crisis. Printing money may dress the bleeding wound, but it’s not a solution. Within this study, Turkish banking sector’s credit-efficiency relationship has been discussed and a risk analysis has been done.

Abstract: Tombstones and epitaphs are the most important written sources and indispentable cultural heritages. This kinds of cultural creatures have speial features, which is as quality as a certificate and can be barely a source, for the point of view of the art, culture and history related to the past. In Otoman Empire, tombstone tradition influenced from the ancinet terms and it became unique work of art and formed a classic style in Islamic Countries.Ottoman tombstone epitaphs in Unye which became an important city of Black Sea are researched rather wide because of this importance, too.

Open Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OJOG) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ojog.2016.613100
Abstract: Background/Aim: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of training and consultancy on women’s knowledge level and health belief regarding the cervical cancer screenings and their participation in screenings. Materials and Methods: The study is designed as pre-experiment with one group pretest-posttest. The sample group of the study consists of 66 women. The data were collected between March and June 2011. “Personal Information Form”, “Information Form of Cervical Cancer Screenings”, “Health Belief Model Scale for Cervical Cancer and Pap Smear Test”, and “Assessment Form Concerning Taking the Pap Smear Test” were used to collect the data. Results: It was determined that at the end of all trainings, 45.5% of women took the relevant test. Among those who participated in the Pap Smear screening, the training and consultancy had an effect of 100%, booklets 100% and telephone calls 25%. The training and consultancy increased the perception of “benefit and motivation” regarding the Pap Smear test and Pap Smear decreased the perception of “barriers”. Regarding the cervical cancer, it decreased the perception of “regard/seriousness”, “susceptibility” and “health motivation”. Conclusions: It was concluded that training and consultancy change the health beliefs regarding cervical cancer screenings, increase the participation in screenings and consequently, contribute to early diagnosis.
Monthly Rainfall Estimation Using Data-Mining Process

Applied Computational Intelligence and Soft Computing , 2012, DOI: 10.1155/2012/698071
Abstract: It is important to accurately estimate rainfall for effective use of water resources and optimal planning of water structures. For this purpose, the models were developed to estimate rainfall in Isparta using the data-mining process. The different input combinations having 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-input parameters were tried using the rainfall values of Senirkent, Uluborlu, E?irdir, and Yalva? stations in Isparta. The most appropriate algorithm was determined as multilinear regression among the models developed with various data-mining algorithms. The input parameters of Multilinear Regression model were the monthly rainfall values of Senirkent, Uluborlu and E?irdir stations. The relative error of this model was calculated as 0.7%. It was shown that the data mining process can be used in estimation of missing rainfall values. 1. Introduction The meteorological events affect permanently human life. Considering the meteorological phenomena, which have no possibility of intervention, they cause the important results in human life, accurate estimation and analysis of these variables are also very important. Precipitation, which is generating flow, is an important parameter. The occurrence of extreme rainfall in a short time causes significant events that affect human life such as flood. However, in the event of insufficient rainfall in long period occurs drought. Thus, rainfall estimation is very important in terms of effects on human life, water resources, and water usage areas. However, rainfall affected by the geographical and regional variations and features is very difficult to estimate. Nowadays, there are many researches about artificial intelligence methods used in the estimation of rainfall [1–7]. Partal et al. [8] developed rainfall estimation models using artificial neural networks and wavelet transform methods. Bodri and ?ermák [9] evaluated the applicability of neural networks for precipitation prediction. Chang et al. [10] applied a modified method, combining the inverse distance method and fuzzy theory, to precipitation interpolation. They used genetic algorithm to determine the parameters of fuzzy membership functions, which represent the relationship between the location without rainfall records and its surrounding rainfall gauges. They worked to minimize the estimated error of precipitation with the optimization process. One of the aims of storing this data in databases and receiving data from many sources is to convert raw data into information at present. This process is called as data-mining (DM) process of converting data into information. In
Relation between childhood abuse and self esteem in adolescence

International Journal of Human Sciences , 2012,
Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the connection between childhood abuse and self esteem in adults and reveal the potential of childhood abuse determining self esteem. Sampling of this study comprised 915 secondary school students from Konya city’s central district who were randomly selected. 583 of the sample students (%58.3) were females while 382 were males (%41.7). As a result of this study, it has been determined that there is a significant negative correlation between childhood abuse and self esteem. As a result of the regression analyses conducted separately, childhood abuse predicted significantly self-esteem, and it has been revealed that just even emotional abuse is major determinant of self-esteem. Result achieved on this issue indicates that students’ self esteem levels decrease as childhood abuse increase.
Paraoxonase-1 and Coronary Heart Diseases

Marmara Medical Journal , 2011,
Abstract: Serum Paraoxonase-1(PON1) level, an anti-oxidant enzyme, decreases with diseases related to coronary heart diseases (CAH) such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and smoking. All clinical studies which were performed in patients with CAH have shown significant low levels and activity of PON1. These studies suggest that the PON1 level might be a marker for CAH, but more prospective and case-controlled studies are needed on this subject.
Orta a Piskoposlar n n Bildirilerine Bir rnek Olarak Capitulare Episcoporum Capitulare/// Episcoporum as an Example of Capitularies of Middle Ages Bishops
zlem Gen?
History Studies : International Journal of History , 2011,
Abstract: Capitula Episcoporum, which means the capitulary of bishops, is one of the capitularies of episcopate in which the bishops wrote their instructions – especially the religious ones- to the ecclesiastics in the regions they were responsible for. Such capitularies were very common in the Middle Ages. The date it was written is controversial, however, in many manuscripts it is listed under the title of “Karoli Magni Capitularia”. It was written with the consensus of the bishops as a result of a famine that gave hard times to the people. It declares what both the clergy and the laymen should do in order to be protected from the dangers of the famine and to prevent people from being hungry and desperate. The instructions in the capitulary, such as the prayers, hymns, fasts and feeding the hungry and the poor, inform the people of all classes and thus contain valuable information to understand both the social and the economic life of the period.
