Abstract: Humour is one of the most important subjects in also literature as it is in many other fields. Humour writers and poets use some methods and tools, either comical or satirical, while they write humour. One of those methods and tools is hyperbole. As a result, exaggeration which is used in daily language and takes over a basic function in humour formation is also a literary device at the same time.In this paper, the relationship between device and humour has been tried to be evaluated through examples of beyits providing hyperbole art in poems of divan poets. For this purpose, divans of fifteen poets who lived in between 15th and 18th centuries have been scanned for the detection of beyit examples in question. In addition, the beyits found in other works have been given place.Features of exaggeration and humour coming out in the beyit examples in which padishas’ and men of states’, lover’s and the beloved one’s characteristics, poets’ poetry, descriptions of season, state officers’ manor houses, descriptions of building and poets’ attitudes towards some situations are mentioned in an exaggerated way, have been focused by classifying these beyits within themselves. Abstract: Idioms, as a means of brief and established wayof expression found in any language, are importantstructures in that they reflect many cultural aspects ofsocial life. It is very difficult to translate such structures, particularly idioms, from one language into anotherbecause of their national features. In the present study, the idiom “ ok baslu”,which was in use at a certain period in the historicalcourse of Turkish language and then became anarchaism, and the exact corresponding idiom “ziyade-ser”in Farsi are examined. Also, the use of this idiom in theOttoman poetry is discussed through extracts frompoems by various poets.

Abstract: In this research, the aim is to determine the views of Turkish Education teacher candidates related to critical thinking. The data have been obtained by “California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory” transcribed into Turkish by K kdemir (2003). The research group of the study is composed of 195 students in the department of Turkish Education in Faculty of Education at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University. Descriptive statistics, t test and one-way analysis of variance have been used for data analysis. As a result of the research, it has been found that Turkish Education teacher candidates’ critical thinking dispositions are low. While there is no meaningful difference according to the type of school graduated, there has been obtained meaningful differences for gender and class variances. Female teacher candidates compared to male ones and the students in the 1st class compared to the ones in the 4th class have showed more positive opinions related to critical thinking.

Abstract: Adolescence is a stage in which people undergo some physical changes and to which they try to adapt themselves. Adolescentwants to know his/her identity and to discover what he/she wants to do. He/she wants to conduct his individual personalitysuccessfully in various areas like interpersonal relations, opposite sex, sexuality and moral values. It is important for adolescents to be accepted, to be liked and to adapt to others. For this reason, some adolescents canperform unwanted behaviors only to adapt to their friends. Especially adolescents with emotional problems have more friendsupportthan family support. Friend support may cause adolescents to be controlled by their friends, which may lead to peerpressure (Helsen et al., 2000 in Y ld r m, 2007).Peer pressure is the affect created by children peer groups on the other group members; especially it is the power of gainingconformity. Studies have shown that obedience tendency to peer pressure starts regularly in elementary schools and goes on inadolescence stage dramatically (Budak, 2000). Peer pressure that affects children and young people is mostly negative, butsometimes positive situation. In studies so far, peer pressure is usually handled as a negative situation (Ayd n, 1999).Usually negative peer pressure is a problem for both sides, that is, for the peers that are exposed to and the ones that imposepressure. Researchers think that it is necessary to decrease peer pressure in order to reduce negative factors in work places andschools. For this purpose, in the study, it was tried to decrease pressure behaviors of peers by means of group psychologicalcounseling. It was expected that group psychological counseling sessions would decrease peer pressure. This study was conducted using the complete experimental method. The research is an experimental study based on pre andpost tests which are real experimental models. The sampling group of this study consists of 24 male students, between 15 and 16-years old, who were divided into 12 experimental and 12 control groups. The sampling groups were selected among the secondaryschool students who attend the first grade between 2007 and 2008 in Konya, Cihanbeyli. The purposeful sampling method wasused in forming the groups after meeting managers, teachers and volunteer students who apply peer pressure. The participantswere placed in the groups according to alphabetical order. Control group was dated a further time for placebo group experience.Peer pressure scale: Peer pressure scale is a 5 point Likert type scale that was developed by Esen (2002). The validity an

Abstract: Having been effective in Republic Era, Devaluation taking places in most of the stability programs is seen to as unique used instrument of them. However, in order to obtain expected results , many factors must be considered. Other condition leading success of devaluation is that the rising of price should be blocked after devaluation process in related country. But this is rarely event because, the rising of import goods’ prices affects the whole economy. Many negative conditions are confronted in respect to evaloution of our country’s devaluation. Hence, It is observed that the positive enverioment gets loosing and finally the stability program remains with undemanding results. In our studying, the main focus is this observation and its core results.

Konuralp Tip Dergisi , 2013,
Abstract: Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of total knee arthroplasty (TKA) on functional status, and quality of life of individuals with severe knee osteoarthritis (OA) after postoperative one year of TKA.Methods: Twenty-seven volunteered patients with knee OA undergoing TKA were enrolled into the study. Pain levels, functional status, and health related quality of life were evaluated before and after a year of TKA. Pain levels were assessed by visual analog scale (VAS). Functional status was evaluated by Western Ontario and McMaster Universities OA Index (WOMAC), and Lequesne Index, and health related quality of life was assessed by Short Form-36 Questionnaire (SF-36). Results: There were significant improvements in VAS, Lequesne Index, WOMAC scores, and all of subscales of SF-36 Questionnaire in one year after the TKA compared to pretreatment scores (p<0.0001). There was a positive correlation between postoperative Lequesne Index and postoperative WOMAC scores (pain score (r= 0.821, p=0.0001), stiffness score (r=0.634, p=0.0001), and function score (r=0.755, p=0.0001)). There was negative correlation between WOMAC function score and SF-36 physical function score (r= -0.585, p=0.001), and between WOMAC pain score and SF-36 pain score (r= -0.485, p=0.010).Conclusion: TKA decreases pain and positively affects the functional status and quality of life in patients with severe OA in one year after the treatment.

Turkish Journal of Urology , 2011,
Abstract: Objective: This prospective clinical study compared two different ureteroscopic lithotripsy methods for treating lower ureteral stones.Materials and methods: Ureteroscopic lithotripsy was applied in 110 patients with lower ureteral stones between February 2007 and April 2011. The stones were fragmented with a pneumatic lithotripter. In Group 1 (n=55), ureteroscopic lithotripsy was performed without a guidewire and the stone fragments were not collected. In Group 2 (n=55), a ureteral guidewire was used and the stone fragments were collected with a basket catheter or forceps. The two groups were compared in terms of operating time, stone free rates, renal colic, and complications. Results: The mean operating time was 17 min (range 12-30 min) and 35 min (range 25-95 min) for Groups 1 and 2, respectively. Macroscopic hematuria was recorded in 3 patients in Group 1 for 30 hours compared to 8 patients for 48 hours in Group 2. Mild or moderate renal colic was observed in 9 patients in Group 1 and recurred 1-11 times versus only 4 cases in Group 2 (p<0.05). The patients were re-examined 20 days postoperatively, and no residual stone, urinary obstruction, hematuria or pain was observed in either group. Conclusion: For endoscopic treatment of lower ureteral stones, ureteroscopic lithotripsy without a guidewire and collection of the fragmented stones is safe for experienced urologists.
