多芯光子晶体光纤锁模过程的数值模拟

Abstract: 从线性耦合的非线性薛定谔方程组出发,数值模拟了利用可饱和吸收镜启动多芯光子晶体光纤激光器锁模的建立过程.由于初始自发辐射的随机性,可饱和吸收镜在多个芯中提取的初始脉冲也具有很大的随机性.针对两种脉冲建立的可能初始情况,即只在一个纤芯中先提取出脉冲与同时在多个纤芯中提取出脉冲,对多芯光子晶体光纤作为锁模激光器增益介质的机理进行了详细的模拟.模拟结果表明,要想同时锁定多个纤芯的所有纵模频率,不仅需要纤芯之间具有较强的耦合,而且在可饱和吸收镜提取出的多个初始脉冲时延较大时,在Talbot腔结构下,端镜反射使得各个纤芯出射光束相互交叠也是建立稳定锁模过程必须的.

Abstract: ?采用光纤缠绕方法,对国产大模场面积多模光纤激光器缠绕前后的输出性能进行了对比研究。将光纤激光器输出端在半径为65mm的圆筒上缠绕两圈后,获得了单横模输出。光纤缠绕前后,激光器的光束质量因子由1.24减小为1.06,斜率效率由64.7%减小为54.3%。当泵浦功率为149w时,缠绕前后的输出功率分别为94.7w和79.4w。虽然缠绕后功率有所减小,但激光亮度增加了15%。同时对实验所用光纤的缠绕损耗进行了理论计算,实验结果与理论计算值符合得较好。

Abstract: 对一种基于高增益掺Yb3+大模场面积光子晶体光纤(PCF)的锁模激光器进行了简化线型腔结构的实验和理论研究.实验中直接使用塌陷打磨为0°角的光纤端面作为一端腔镜,利用其端面反馈获得了激光振荡,并进一步利用半导体可饱和吸收镜(SESAM)和光栅对的滤波作用实现了稳定的锁模运转.通过调节滤波程度,使激光器实现了从宽带滤波锁模到窄带滤波锁模的连续可调谐.在宽带滤波锁模的条件下,得到了最大平均输出功率2.2 W,单脉冲能量29.3 nJ,脉冲宽度367 fs的锁模脉冲输出;在窄带滤波锁模的条

Abstract: 报道了一种支持高单脉冲能量输出的被动锁模飞秒光纤激光器.该激光器使用具有极低非线性系数的掺Yb3+双包层大模场面积偏振光子晶体光纤作为激光增益介质,具有很好的环境稳定性.激光器基于线形腔结构,没有色散补偿,利用半导体可饱和吸收镜(SESAM)实现自启动锁模,获得了平均功率为2.5W,重复频率为51.4MHz(对应于50nJ的单脉冲能量),脉冲宽度为4.2ps的稳定的连续波锁模脉冲输出.经腔外色散补偿,脉冲宽度压缩至410fs.当激光器输出功率比较低时,脉冲成形由SESAM的非线性吸收决定,而在高功率输出的情况下,激光器的锁模运转主要取决于自相位调制展宽光谱与增益带宽的限制之间的平衡.

Abstract: A compact and highly stable high pulse energy passively mode-locked fiber laser is presented. A segment of Yb3+-doped double-clad large-mode-area fiber with extremely low nonlinearity is developed as the active medium. The self-starting mode-locked operation is achieved by the cooperation of nonlinear polarization evolution and semiconductor saturable-absorber mirror. The fiber laser generates laser pulses with the average power of 160mW at the repetition rate of 55.9MHz (corresponding to pulse energy of 3nJ), and the pulse duration is 10.6ps.

Abstract: 研制出一种新型抗弯曲大模场面积石英光子晶体光纤. 利用光子晶体光纤结构设计的灵活性, 通过规划缺陷的位置及空气孔的尺寸, 实现了大模场面积单模及低弯曲损耗特性.应用建立的实际光子晶体光纤特性分析模型, 研究了研制光纤的模式特性和弯曲特性, 在波长1064 nm处, 平直状态下光纤的模场面积可以达到2812 μm2, 基模限制损耗为0.00024 dB/m, 高阶模限制损耗高于1.248 dB/m. 基模和高阶模之间的高传输损耗差, 保证了在获得大模场面积的同时实现单模传输. 弯曲半径和弯曲方向角所带来弯曲损耗变化的研究结果显示, 即使在弯曲半径小到5 cm时, 弯曲损耗也在10-3 dB/m量级以下, 而且在弯曲半径为30 cm时光纤可承受的弯曲方向角范围扩展至-60°–60°. 研制的光纤具有良好的低弯曲损耗特性, 可有效解决非对称结构所带来的光纤弯曲特性对弯曲方向角敏感的问题. 该光纤在高功率光纤激光器、放大器及高功率传输等技术领域具有重要的应用价值.

Abstract: 提出了一种新型双空气孔多芯-双模-大模场面积光纤结构, 计算了其模场分布、基模有效面积及弯曲损耗特性, 分析了各结构参量对其有效折射率及有效面积的影响. 这种结构在增大有效面积的同时使得二阶模的TE01, TM01模截止, 实现双模传输, 基模有效面积约为1044 μm2.调整其结构参量, 甚至可以达到单模传输.这种结构制作简单、设计灵活, 可用于高速大容量无源光纤及有源器件中.合理设计各结构参量, 可以使有效面积达到3512 μm2甚至更高, 从而满足光通信领域中大容量、高功率传输等实际应用的需求.

Abstract: An ytterbium-doped single polarization large-mode-area photonic crystal fiber laser amplifier is demonstrated, which can deliver average power of 16 W at a repetition rate of 50 MHz, corresponding to 320 nJ pulse energy. The length of the fiber is 3.5 m, and the pulse could be shorter since the spectrum is further broadened due to the SPM. The pulse duration is compressed to 85 fs after passing through a grating pair. The oscillator and amplifier of the system are composed of the same single polarization large-mode-area photonic crystal fiber, resulting in better environmental stability and compactness.

Abstract: A dissipative-soliton mode locked laser based on Yb-doped single polarization large-mode-area photonic crystal fiber is demonstrated. The dissipative soliton dynamics is explored by numerical simulation. Compared with all normal dispersion fiber lasers, there are more pulse shaping mechanisms in a dissipative-soliton fiber laser, including the nonlinear absorption of SESAM, spectrum filtering of the chirped pulse and gain dispersion, which results in robust and stable operation. Abstract: The eigenvalue equation associated with seven-core photonic crystal fiber was derived from coupled-mode equation. Mode properties were analyzed by its eigenvalues and eigenvector. Using the frequency domain finite difference method, the relationship between fiber structure and coupling coefficient was fully discussed through changing the wavelength, hole pitch and core distance. Mode shaping and higher-order supermode cut off was realized. The results were helpful to the fiber structure design and in-phase supermode selection.
