Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to evaluate the toxicological effect of wastewater emitted from Radomir Metal Industries". It has been registered that the range of 50% mortality (LC50) of great water flea (Daphnia magna St.) is limited between 75% and 80% effluent. The data mortality rate-effluent dilution for Pseudorasbora parva well correlated with linear regression, R2=0.86. LC50 is reported from exposure to raw sewage (100%). Results indicate that even when individual concentrations of toxic metals are within the permissible limits the effluent remains toxic for the hydrobiota perhaps due to the combine effect of the contaminants.

Abstract:
The advantage of electronic devices is to eliminate the subjectivity. Based on individual capabilities, visual perception has its disadvantages. The aim of this study was to find out the possible shade difference between the upper and lower teeth, visual perception versus spectrophotometry as well as proving that females are better in visual perception of colour matching. 82 subjects (dental students) of this study determined the color of each other’s natural teeth. The color of 1640 teeth (incisors, canines and premolars), was matched by visual perception and by Vita Easyshade spectrophotometer. The matching was focused on the middle third of buccal surfaces of the examined teeth. In this study, it was found that there was a difference of color between the teeth of the upper and lower jaw. The percentage of the accordance between two methods was 28.35% for all examined teeth. The color determination at central incisors showed the highest value of accordance 40.85%. Based on Vitapan 3D Mastershade, the most frequent color was 2M2.

Abstract:
This study aims to model vibration response characteristics of theoretical and experimental work based force of dynamic components in reciprocating mesins. The method used was to analyze force that accumulates on main bearing area of theoretical, experimental vibration signal reconstruction and validation. Modeling involves process compression force that causes compression force and inertia force. The analysis uses a mathematical formulation of Newton are mesinered to produce a dynamic force. Results indicate that maximum total force accumulated in main bearing is 194.4 N and 29.7 N vertical direction and horizontal direction. Results of analysis theoretical and experimental vibration signals are validated by first reconstructing experimental vibration signal, in time domain and frequency to eliminate noise signals using Matlab software. Results of the validation process obtained clearance to bearing C1 = 60 μm, this value is accordance with measurement of bearing clearance dimensions manually. Modelling vibration characteristics can be used for treatment of mesin vibration signal monitoring based on scheduled.

Abstract:
This study reports simultaneous reduction of particulate matter and gas which were emitted by marine diesel exhaust gas using water treatment system. The treatment system consisted of water film on electrostatic precipitator (ESP) plate followed by powder activated-carbon (PAC) treatment. Particulates were reduced in water film on the plate, from 0.12 g m-3 to 0.02 – 0.03 g m-3 after 3.6 hours detention time. NO of 1200 ppm and SO2 of 1050 ppm were reduced to 900 ppm and 18 ppm respectively. PAC was able to absorb polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). At least 2500 mg of PAHs could be reduced to 10 mg in 1 g of PAC after blending for 40 minutes.

Abstract:
In this article we consider a first-order completely integrable system of partial differential equations $\partial \Fi/partial x=A(x, t) \Fi, \partial \Fi/partial t=B(x, t) \Fi$ with $\Fi=(\fi_1, \fi_2)^{\tau}$ where $A(x, t)$ and $B(x, t)$ are 2 by 2 holomorphic matrices functions. Under some assumptions we find a variable change by which the system $\partial \Fi/\partial x=A(x, t) \Fi$ is reduced to an equation independent on the variable $t$. As an application we show that the R. Fuchs's conjecture for the Painlev\'e equations is true for some algebraic solutions.

Abstract:
Shaft Torsional Vibration Response of Vertical Axis Ocean Current Turbine Model Due to Torque Excitation. The current research aimed to study the torsional vibration response of Vertical Axis Ocean Current Turbine due to randomly torque excitation pattern, owing to the variety of ocean current velocity. The turbine model is composed of 3aluminum blades of NACA 0018 connected to steel shaft. Turbine dimensions are 10 cm of chord, 1.8 cm of chamber and 100 cm of span. The variation of ocean current velocity is 0.5 m/s, 1.0 m/s, 1.5 m/s, 2.0 m/s, 2.5 m/s and 3.0 m/s. The Model has 2 degree of freedom which is described into two 2nd order differential equations. The eigenvaluesolution yields the model’s natural frequencies; 201,38 rad/s and 457.91 rad/s. Fourier series is used to define the equation of torsional excitation, whilst the vibration equation is solved using Laplace Transform. According to analysis, there is no resonance occur. That because of the system’s natural frequencies is diverse to the magnitude of excitation frequencies. Model will be statically twisted first before vibrated. The response will be transient first then constantly steady. Furthermore, the bigger torque excitation will cause the bigger angular displacement as well the amplitude.

Abstract:
Motivated by its possible applications in mechanics and mechanical engineering, inour previous published work (Pitea and Postolache, 2011),we initiated an optimization theory for the second-order jet bundle. We considered theproblem of minimization of vectors of curvilinear functionals (well known as mechanicalwork), thought as multitime multiobjective variational problems, subject to PDEand/or PDI constraints. Within this framework, we introduced necessary optimalityconditions. As natural continuation of these results, the present work introduces astudy of sufficient efficiency conditions.

Abstract:
We use a method of investigation based on employing adequate variational calculus techniques in the study of some generalized Dieudonné-Rashevski problems. This approach allows us to state and prove optimality conditions for such kind of vector multitime variational problems, with mixed isoperimetric constraints. We state and prove efficiency conditions and develop a duality theory.

understanding democracy has raised a number of controversial issues and debates in political theory. roughly, we can point out that democracy studies followed two different paths, i.e. understand democracy as a logic of social action or as a governmental mechanism to establish a governmental regime. from a post-structuralist theoretical perspective - under the aegis of the work of chantal mouffe and jacques rancière - this study try to develop across of the thesis about democracy with a critical approach to the rational -universal argument that built the relevance of liberal democracy. this type of analysis has the potential to resave the democratic paradox as a logic of social contigence.
