I intend to report, at this text, my experience with a group of teachers from EMEF “Padre Francisco Silva” at the workgroups and the study subgroup “Pedagogical actions: understanding the teaching-learning process”, as well as my teaching actions, made possible by these reflections, about the way how my students learn, mainly alphabetization. Still, I try to amplify the discussion about the importance of understand that not all the students learn the same way and at the same time, daring the teacher to a more diversified teaching practice. In the present article, I relate the way my teacher identity was constituted: my chilhood memories, my student history, the rearing process I went through, my experiences and even my meditations about the reality I live with. Since 2003, I am an elementary school teacher at Escola Padre Francisco Silva, a pubilc school of Campinas municipality. My presence in this rich and dynamic reality promotes turmoil such as: (i) my questioning about the fact that the education we receive in the university is not enough to deal with the complex processes lived everyday in a school, with real childen, each one with his/her own peculiarities; (ii) work with the heterogenity, the group and children self-image, the interpersonal relationships, the evaluation, the serial system, the limits and the possibilities. To be in a school made me realize that the possibilites of acting are ample when there are the wish to change and the social commitment from the people, who integrate the different common space of our school, to make this transformation. Education is a continuous process with the children and in the different meditation spaces that managers provide to the education professionals of our school. The “Singular school: Plural actions” project, created at our school unity, has been brought the discussion and reflection to our reunions, comprehension of teenage and ourselves attitudes, while professionals. Work in group and to live with these difficulties it′s a great challenge and a great learning. This diversity it happens among the co-workers and at the classroom itself. Reflect about our actions bring us the image of the researcher-teacher. We did many activities at the school that brought to all a bigger participation at the school-places, contact with the art, with research, with the observation. These process happened with the students and the teaching staff too. I participate at weekly reunions, with teacher from 5th to 8th grades to exchange ideas, study and discussions about the texts and themes. To listen and to participate on the discussions with the diverse professionals from the Project about the learning theories, diversity of strategic used at the classes or the ways of knowledge acquisition was very important to our work. Interdisciplinary is the theme of the subgroup that I integrate and, at first, the interest point of the work at group is the stren

Pamela Tala
Confluenze. Rivista di Studi Iberoamericani , 2011,
Abstract: This article explores the characteristics adopted by the discourse of the migrant subject in the story "Ausencia" (Absence) by the Peruvian writer Daniel Alarcón. Since the verification of a nomadic subject, it examines the re- articulation of the notions of territory, center / periphery and the confrontation with the "other." As a result of the analysis of these issues, we conclude that this narrative by Alarcón offers no relief to the subject from a dialectical synthesis of his identity; on the contrary, it leaves him suspended in an unfinished and amazed identification process. Keywords: Latin-American Literature, Daniel Alarcón, identity, subject, migration.
Tensile Structures of Cables Net, Guidelines to Design and Applications  [PDF]

Abstract: The structural engineering design of not conventional typologies imposes a complex path that begins evaluating procedures of a preliminary design and ends with complex procedures to validate the analysis response. Any guide lines to follow are often available. About complex shapes, in particular, any details are presented in the codes to evaluate wind action and so wind tunnel experiments are necessary to valuate this. The evaluation of wind tunnel data is a complex process that often needs new and specific subroutines programmed by researchers. The difficult increases when the objective is to study a not specific building but general aspects as for examples the dependence of a generic phenomenon by a geometric sample; in this case it is necessary to design and to program numerical subroutines before and then the wind tunnel experiments. Often, these subroutines are left detached and are non-generalizable process. Purpose of this paper is to describe a complete procedure to pre- and post-process wind tunnel data with the objective to design a not convectional structure as a tensile structure. In this particular case the research aim is a parametrization of the aerodynamic behavior of Hyperbolic Paraboloid roofs, shape used for cables net. The reason of the experiments is the absence in the international codes of the pressure coefficients for these geometries. The paper describes the numerical procedure evaluated to choose a sufficient representative geometric sample, the numerical procedure evaluated to design and to construct the wind tunnel models and FE models, the numerical procedure to evaluate and to use for FEM analyses of the wind tunnel data, the numerical procedure to calculate nonlinear structural analysis, and, finally some applications. All these numerical procedures use basic theory derived for example by the cable theory, the fluid mechanic, the nonlinear geometric analysis and other. However specific codes were necessary and were programmed to apply the theories on the specific case of study; the complete methodology followed is presented. The goal is to create a free open domain where the numerical procedures evaluated are merged, added, modified by researchers with the aim to obtain a common space of use for wind engineering of not conventional structure.
The Toda lattice, old and new
Carlos Tomei
Mathematics , 2015,
Abstract: Originally a model for wave propagation on the line, the Toda lattice is a wonderful case study in mechanics and symplectic geometry. In Flaschka's variables, it becomes an evolution given by a Lax pair on the vector space of real, symmetric, tridiagonal matrices. Its very special asymptotic behavior was studied by Moser by introducing norming constants, which play the role of discrete inverse variables in analogy to the solution by inverse scattering of KdV. It is a completely integrable system on the coadjoint orbit of the upper triangular group. Recently, bidiagonal coordinates, which parameterize also non-Jacobi tridiagonal matrices, were used to reduce asymptotic questions to local theory. Larger phase spaces for the Toda lattice lead to the study of isospectral manifolds and different coadjoint orbits. Additionally, the time one map of the associated flow is computed by a familiar algorithm in numerical linear algebra. The text is mostly expositive and self contained, presenting alternative formulations of familiar results and applications to numerical analysis.
