álvaro Henrique Freitas,Elaine Freitas,Vanessa Coelho Garcia,Ricardo Birenbaum
Meta : Avalia??o , 2009,

JISTEM - Journal of Information Systems and Technology Management , 2008, DOI: 10.4301/S1807-17752008000300004
Abstract: this research proposes to define models for information management to guide the commercial action of a small it company. the focus on small companies occurs due to the high percentage of companies with this profile in the it sector. a set of models for information management was proposed, implemented and used during the daily commercial activities. the practical experience is detailed based on the evaluation of ease, comprehension and use. action research was chosen as a methodology for this study because there was interest and availability of the company to put into practise the new set of models that was proposed. the company reacted positively do the models that were implemented, in terms of acceptance and in terms of comprehension, ease of use and utility. the company considered that, after using the models, there were better conditions of handling the information, and, therefore, it became possible to guide the commercial action in a more dynamic way.
Freitas, Henrique;Moscarola, Jean;
RAE eletr?nica , 2002, DOI: 10.1590/S1676-56482002000100006
Abstract: we can find more and more the research activity not only inside the academical world, but especially inside the organizations. facing a turbulent business environment, research is becoming a essential resource in order to allow managers to collect and provide the internal and external information for decision-making. this paper aims to describe some basical notions concerning research methodology and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, developing some examples.
Freitas, Henrique;Rech, Ionara;
Revista de Administra??o Contemporanea , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S1415-65552003000100007
Abstract: the present paper deals with the impact of new information technologies (it) on organizations. its primary objective is the mapping of organizations in relation to the use of it. but above all, this research is intended to find out how intensively problems manifest themselves when organizations adopt new its, as well as how successfully these problems are solved. the method chosen was the survey type research, carried out at big companies in the porto alegre metropolitan area, brazil, between september and december 2000. data was collected through personal interviews with it managers. the final sample was composed of 91 out of a total of 164 companies initially contacted, i.e., 55.5% of these big companies were investigated. the profile of it used by big companies in the porto alegre metropolitan area was mapped through data analysis. this profile was compared with the profile of different organizational areas, among others. as far as problems are concerned, the more intense ones were listed with a consideration for the highest averages. for actions concerning occurrence and success an analysis was carried out taking into consideration the highest average of occurrence intensity and the highest average of success intensity.

Antimicrobial effectiveness of different trademarks mouthwashes with and without alcohol against different organisms: in vitro study = Efetividade antimicrobiana de diferentes marcas comerciais de enxaguatórios bucais com e sem álcool sobre diversos microrganismos: estudo in vitro
A informa o informal e a monitora o do ambiente: fontes e explora o/ dissemina o

Morgon, Nelson Henrique;Soares, álvaro Guedes;
Química Nova , 1998, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-40421998000300004
Abstract: this article introduces a simplified model for the theoretical study of the physical adsorption process of gaseous he on the planes (100) and (111) of the solid xe matrix, whose crystalline structure is face centered cubic (fcc). the ab initio calculations were carried out at the mp2 level of theory employing basis sets obtained through the generator coordinate method, where the core electrons were represented by a pseudopotential. the calculated adsorption energies for the (100) and (111) faces are 5,39 and 4,18 kj/mol, respectively. this simplified model is expected to be suitable for treating complex systems of applied interest.
