Pathogen conservation molecules and PAMP-triggered innate immunity in plants

Abstract: Pathogen associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) recognized by host cell surface localized pattern-recognition receptors (PRRs) are pathogen conservation molecules. So far, a few pairs of characterized PRR/PAMP in plants provided useful models to study the specificity of ligand-binding and likely activation mechanisms. For example, recognition models of FLS2-flagellin, EFR-Tu (EF-Tu), CEBiP/CERK1-chitin and XA21-Ax21 have been extensively studied. The perception between PRR and PAMP triggers immune response (PTI) to resist pathogens. However, to successfully grow and proliferate on their hosts, virulent pathogens had to override the PTI, for which, these pathogens evolved a variety of strategies, such as injecting effector proteins into the plant cell or sequestering their PAMPs. Based on the knowledge on the interaction of PRR-PAMP, researchers are trying to engineer PRRs ( chimeras of PRRs) to develop new strategies in molecular breeding for achieving durability and a broad-spectrum disease resistance. We reviewed the recent findings about recognitions of PRRs-PAMPs, the engineered PRRs, and discussed the future prospects and several issues in researches on PTI.

Abstract: 光子晶体光纤由于其灵活可调的色散特性用作色散补偿具有极大的应用潜力. 设计了一种色散补偿光子晶体光纤, 并运用频域有限差分法模拟了其色散特性,从理论上分析了其结构参数孔间距Λ和空气占空比d/Λ对该光子晶体光纤的色散系数的影响, 并且实际制备出了3种不同结构参数的光子晶体光纤. 通过对其色散曲线对比分析表明: 当光子晶体光纤孔间距在1 μm附近时, 其色散系数随着孔间距Λ和占空比d/Λ的增大而增加, 但对于孔间距Λ的变化比占空比d/Λ更为敏感, 并且随着孔间距Λ的增加,其对色散系数的影响能力逐渐减小. 设计并制备的光子晶体光纤在1550 nm处的色散系数为-241.5 ps·nm-1·km-1, 相对色散斜率为0.0018, 具有较好的色散补偿能力.

Abstract: 个性化服务系统为每个用户提供了满足个性化需求的差异服务,但用户模型的建立和更新依赖于用户的个人信息,存在着隐私泄漏的风险,从而降低了用户使用个性化服务的意愿.本文基于可信计算环境下直接匿名证言方案的可变假名机制,设计了一个面向通用网络环境下个性化服务的匿名认证方案,并针对付费系统的匿名保持问题做了进一步改进.理论分析和实验结果表明,个性化服务提供者可以鉴别用户是否合法付费用户,并具有何种访问权限,但无法确定用户的具体身份,即使服务提供者将访问信息泄漏,也不会危及用户隐私.

Local boundary integral equation method based on radial basis functions for potential problems

Abstract: Combining the interpolation function, which has the delta function property and is constructed on the basis of radial basis functions and polynomial functions, using the local boundary integral equation method (LBIE), the local boundary integral equation method based on radial basis functions is presented for potential problem in this paper. The corresponding discrete equations are obtained. Comparing with the other meshless boundary integral equation methods, the present method has simpler numerical procedures, lower computation cost and higher accuracy. In addition, the essential boundary conditions can be implemented directly. Some numerical results to show the efficiency of the present method are given.
