Los procesos de evaluación en las guías docentes: Análisis de satisfacción de los alumnos de trabajo social The Assessment Processes in Comprehensive Subject Guides: A Satisfaction Analysis of Social Work Students

Abstract: La implantación de las Guías Docentes ha supuesto ciertos cambios en las estrategias docentes que en muchas ocasiones no están siendo adecuadamente evaluadas con el fin de poder definir la operatividad de los cambios que se suponía debían provocar en la relación profesor-alumno y sobre todo en la verificación de su impacto en la evaluación de la ense anza. El trabajo que presentamos trata de recoger la percepción del alumnado sobre los procedimientos de evaluación reflejados en las Guías Docentes de los cursos 1o y 2o del Grado en Trabajo Social de la Universidad de Murcia y de 3o de la Diplomatura de Trabajo Social y la coherencia de los mismos para la medida de las competencias expresadas en la Guía correspondiente. Basándonos en un cuestionario elaborado al efecto y en el que se plantean cuestiones explícitas sobre los procedimientos de evaluación. Se recogen exclusivamente aspectos reflejados en las Guías y que se asocian a la evaluación como tutorías tanto individuales como grupales, modalidades de examen, criterios específicos de evaluación, metodologías docentes... Al analizar los resultados se observa un alto nivel de disfunción entre lo redactado en las Guías, con lo realizado y con el logro de los objetivos previstos. The implantation of Comprehensive Subject Guides has caused some changes in educational strategies that are often not being properly evaluated so as to define their operative capacity in assessing educational results. This article shows students' perception of evaluation procedures as they are presented in the Comprehensive Subject Guides of the first and second years of the New Degree in Social Work and the third of the former Degree in Social Work of the University of Murcia. We elaborated a questionnaire with questions on the procedures of evaluation such as teaching assistance, criteria, strategies and means of evaluation or educational methodologies. The results show a high level of dysfunction between the Guides and the achievement of projected aims.

Abstract: This text is a small adaptation of our Master-degree’s dissertation, which had telework performed in Brazilian homes as its main goal. The research as a whole focused on both sociological and legal analyses of the aspects of telework, regarding flexible work schedules, legislation on distance work, hierarchical relationships, space and time organization of work utilizing telematic means, as well as perceptions of the actors involved with this activity. In this paper, the legal aspects of telework in Brazil will be emphasized.
Calling for Authentic Leadership: The Moderator Role of Calling on the Relationship between Authentic Leadership and Work Engagement  [PDF]

Abstract:
Authentic Leadership (AL) literature supports the existence of a positive relationship between perceived AL, follower work engagement, and positive attitudes like calling. Our research doesn’t confirm that relationship and fosters the possibility of AL influence could not be felt by employees. It was also expected, theoretically, a positive effect of Calling as well as with trust. We have found a significant negative effect on the relationship between AL and calling. But our findings brought some positive insights. There was a positive significant relationship between calling and work engagement. Calling had also moderated, with a positive significant result, the relationship between AL and work engagement. Future research should focus on the importance of perceived AL within the education public services, and the significant effect of calling on work engagement. Our study suggests that organizations could promote employee calling work orientation, stimulate leaders to become more authentic, and improve positively organization performance.

Abstract: the aim of this study was to know the production of latino america about the work responsibility, trying to identify the key conceptual frames and the theories used in the publications about the work responsibility. this is an integrative review of the literature which included works in the format of articles, thesis or disserations, indexed in the databases lilacs during the last five years in portuguese, english or spanish. the results showed that the 35 studies made no reference to the work responsability to a large extent. between the quantitative studies the work responsibility was the predominance of the use of puntuation of the nursing activities and of quality among the referential and noriega laurell. the references of stress, industrial accidents, ergonometris and phsycho-pathology at work were also used as much as the diversity of areas interested in the topic, however it is used with multiple meanings.

Abstract: The nexus of neo-liberalist influences in our current risk society has produced a crisis for both New Zealand sociology and Social Work, playing out in practice domains and in the academy. This paper argues that by co-habituating and co-operating, we may have a tangible way forward. One of the biggest challenges for Social Work practitioners is to come to terms with the role of theory in the practice of their discipline—a discipline that is often fast-paced, but increasingly focused on dealing with one client at a time, and often reduced to a dyad emphasis in practise: that of client and worker. One of the biggest challenges for the sociologist embarking on a career in research is to come to terms with sociology as methodological toolkit for social activism where knowledge of theory can be applied toward sustained societal change. Both offer a methodological approach to understanding the human condition in context. Both disciplines are at risk because of neo-liberalisation, and this, we argue must be avoided by a move toward each other.

Abstract:

Various studies of domestic work have identified close personal relationships between domestic workers and employers as a key instrument in the exploitation of domestic workers, allowing employers to solicit unpaid services as well as a sense of superiority (Rollins, 1985; Romero, 2002; Glenn, 1992; Hondagneu-Sotelo, 2001). Likewise, other scholars have pointed out that close employee-employer relationships may actually empower domestic workers, increasing job leverage (Thorton-Dill, 1994). Ultimately, these lines are blurry and ever changing as employers continuously redefine employee expectations. Drawing from a larger study involving thirty interviews with white upper middle class women who currently employ domestic workers (mostly housecleaners) this paper explores employers’ interactions with domestic workers. Through these interviews this research elaborates on how employers and employees interact, how employers feel about these interactions, and explores to what extent these interactions are informed by the widely reported maternalistic tendencies of the past, while also considering the consequences of this.

Abstract: In this article, we present some notes on three distinct themes, but whose understanding requires an interdisciplinary analysis considering presenting aspects that intertwine and feature dependent ways from each other. Thus, the introduction presents the world of work aspects in our society, seeking to situate the important participation of all its processes, including women, through training processes of the production of knowledge on education. Then, we present a reflection on the work of women, double work shift and the division of labor between the sexes. Finally, we discuss some historical aspects about the woman in the teacher profession in Brazil.

Abstract: the purpose of this article is to analyze the meaning of labor for adolescents who frequent a non-governmental organization (ngo) that aims to offer vocational and technical training and seeks inclusion in the form of paid internships for disadvantaged young people. to grasp the meaning of labor, interviews were carried out among thirty adolescents who were associated with this ngo and were working. an automated content analysis, using the alceste? software, was applied to examine the interviews. the analysis points to three categories of discourse, with positive and negative aspects of labor: careers, in which work appears as an avenue for social mobility; work, leisure, and family, in which labor is seen as a means to provide for themselves and their families; personal project, in which it is associated with responsibility and social participation.

Abstract: the nursing profession, given the conditions in which the work of the nurse unfolds: in close contact with people in pain, the long-hour shifts, and the diverse gamut of functions that he/she is in charge of, is not the most favorable to develop work satisfaction. the objective of the study was to determine the level of work satisfaction of the nursing human resources who work at the primary health care. a descriptive study that permitted the analysis of the degree of satisfaction of nurses with their work, was carried out. the universe was comprised of all the nursing human resources who work at the primary health care in the municipality of pinar del río, cuba for a grand total of 780 nurses. for the selection of the sample a probabilistic random stratified sample was used. the strata corresponded with the level or qualification obtained, and the randomized sample choice for each subject. a probabilistic sample of n=160 nurses was taken, which guaranteed an approximate precision of 5%. at the empirical level a survey/questionnaire for measuring work satisfaction was used. for the statistical analysis of the results the spss program version 11.0, the chi square was used so as to establish the association between variables. it could be verified that the nursing personnel is moderately satisfied. the study offers a diagnosis of work satisfaction among nurses at the primary health care.
