EL USO RITUAL DE YAJé: PATRIMONIALIZACIóN Y CONSUMO EN DEBATE
CAICEDO FERNáNDEZ,ALHENA;
Revista Colombiana de Antropología , 2010,
Abstract: during the last 15 years or so several cities in colombia such as bogotá, medellín, cali, and pasto have witnessed the appearance and dissemination of ritual practices associated with the consumption of yajé, a psychotropic, traditionally used by several indigenous groups of the amazon region. these practices summon people of different social classes, who accede to these spaces, with different purposes, predominantly therapeutic and spiritual. offered under the label of "indigenous traditional medicine", the ritual consumption of yajé is promoted as a legitimate practice, fruit of a shared cultural inheritance that should be recovered. this article discusses some issues around the question: is it possible to think of the ritual use of yaje as patrimony?
Museologia-Museu e patrim?nio, patrimonializa??o e musealiza??o: ambiência de comunh?o
Lima, Diana Farjalla Correia;
Boletim do Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. Ciências Humanas , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S1981-81222012000100004
Abstract: the article presents a part of the research "terms and concepts of museology", subject of specialty language, addressing the theory and practice that represent an area of knowledge, and which is expressed by the scientific communication (context of information/communication). in historical perspective, focuses on the intertwining museology-museum and heritage from the training grounds of the museum, museological field, and heritage. highlights processes of institutionalization of cultural objects (symbolic goods), namely patrimonialization and musealization, and its constructed meanings, over time, legitimizing the actions of 'ownership' of cultural bodies. the theoretical support has involved theoretical studies of museology, communicative theory of terminology, socioterminology, economic theory of fields and symbolic power, law, and information science. the objectives included analyzing the dynamics of creation, redefinition, change of terms/concepts, with results that provide subsidies for documentary language. the methodology developed comparative analysis of sources relating to representations and practices of the museological, heritage and terminological scenarios. the results showed one common basis for interaction between museology and heritage: the image publicizing the need to safeguard the assets for transmission to future generations - preservation, embodied in the sense borrowed from social act on the issue of identity, but whose real face is the practice of symbolic power.

Silva,Maria Cardeira da;
Etnográfica , 2006,
Abstract: ouadane, a small oasis in the mauritanian adrar, has recently entered the touristic patrimonialization routes, partly due to a residual portugueseproject of cultural cooperation. through an ethnography centered in the new landscape, but essentially in zeida (a young and successful hostel manager), will lead us into seeing how the impulse of wonder, the desire of knowledge, and the thrust for salvation/protection - attracting tourists, development agents and anthropologists - are transformed into resources and locally incorporated through class, race and gender stratifications. this incorporation arouses new social configurations that, through their apparent unexpectedness, recycle ouadane?s attractive force. in parallel, zeida?s case shows us how islam can offer alternative legitimations for individual behaviors, within rigid and paralyzing social codifications, unready for quick social change.

L'espace montagnard comme objet de consommation. Les Pyrénées à l'époque globale
Ismael Vaccaro,Oriol Beltran
In these pages we reflect on the process of transformation of the Catalan Pyrenees from a peripheral and economically decaying area to a first-rate tourism center. Real estate speculation has replaced depopulation. The economic and social value of the territory has dramatically shifted as it has gone from supporting low profitability ranching activities to become the space where resorts and parks are built. The paper analyzes the process of commodification and patrimonialization that have reintegrated the area into the national and international leisure markets paying special attention to the role of conservation practices, ski resorts and second residences in such a process. Finally, we attempt to identify the similarities and differences that characterize the two emergent tourism models: mass tourism versus small scale ecotourism.

Local heritage to singularize a wine terroir: the example of pays Foyen (Gironde, France)
Chantal Crenn,Isabelle Techoueyres
Anthropology of Food , 2007,
Wine, as a cultural and economic product, is today at the heart of local dynamics working towards producing singularity: often under the impulse of neorurals, elements from the local environment and history are selected and used to recompose a heritage which creates an identity, to make up authenticity, therefore to legitimize specific practices. This paper aims at highlighting the current phenomenon of patrimonialization in order to understand how a regional wine turned into a local wine through the observation of a wine terroir, the Pays Foyen (Gironde, France). After theoretic considerations on global/local tensions, we’ll concentrate on spatial definitions and identity construction linked to the promotion of “locality” in the product.
Between mountain naturalization and identity patrimonialization : ambivalence of the representations of the Cantal in topographical hiking guides
Mauricette Fournier
The present article suggests analyzing the representations of Cantal (which is a rural, low mountain range department, located in Massif Central), in various published topographical, in particular Chamina who was one of the major actors in the development of hiking and green tourism in the area. Chamina also focuses on the valorization of local heritage sites in the Massif Central. Thus the topographical guides do not only suggest itineraries, they also supply users with detailed documents explaining the local natural as well as cultural heritages. They thus play an ambivalent role, contributing just as much to “naturalizing” places by the construction of images of a mountain life essentially intended for tourists as to reaffirming identities anchored in the local culture and history.

Ouadane, a small oasis in the Mauritanian Adrar, has recently entered the touristic patrimonialization routes, partly due to a residual Portugueseproject of cultural cooperation. In parallel, Zeida’s case shows us how Islam can offer alternative legitimations for individual behaviors, within rigid and paralyzing social codifications, unready for quick social change.
