Abstract: the present work aims to identify 11 isolates of guignardia citricarpa, the causal agent of the citrus black spot (cbs), obtained from affected fruit in different geographical regions, through pc r and morphophysiological characterization of propagative structures, sporing and mycelial growth in different means of culture, temperatures and photoperiods, under laboratory conditions. through the pcr test, all isolates were identified as being the g. citricarpa pathogen. the characterized isolates were subjected to evaluations at temperatures of 20, 25 and 30oc, in continuous light, continuous darkness, and alternating 12 hours light and 12 hours darkness, during 24 days. the study used oat-agar (oa), potato-dextrose-agar (pda) and carrot-dextrose-agar (cda) as means of culture. the results showed an interaction between the different means of culture, temperatures and photoperiods. the mean of culture that best stimulated mycelial growth was cda at 25oc under the 12-hour photoperiod. the greatest spore (conidia) production was verified in pda at 20oc in the 12-hour photoperiod. there was no sporing of any isolate in the cda mean of culture. under the 30oc temperature, the study verified only the production of hyphae and picnids in most isolates, in all means of culture and photoperiods.
伦理精神――学衡派与新文化派伦理论争的核心
Ethical spirit: the core of ethical debate between theXueheng School and the New Culture School

- , 2015, DOI: 1672-3104(2015)05-0025-07
Abstract: Both the Xueheng School and the New Culture School participated in the most important ethical enlightenment in modern China. And the core of their debate lay in their different ethical spirits, which stemmed from their different views of the world, human nature and values. The New Culture School held evolution, materialism and scientific worldview. They pursued happiness and avoid suffering, believing that human nature is natural, that everyone has the freedom to meet the natural desires, and that the freedom is new ethical spirit. The Xueheng School, on the other hand, adhered to dialectical worldview between “one” and “many” as well as the duality of human nature between good and evil. They advocated the ethical spirit that desire should be limited to the Mean. They criticized the idea of the New Culture School in that it made people degenerated like animals. Both sides did not ignore the Mean of ethical spirit, but their different critical objects and focuses led to some imbalance. Although both ethical spirits were complementarity, the modern transformation of Chinese ethical spirit lost its balance under the dominance of the New Culture School and even split, owing to the reality of Salvation overpowering Enlightenment. And the ethical dilemma at the present originates from such division of ethical spirits
An Elementary Proof of the Mean Inequalities  [PDF]
Ilhan M. Izmirli
Advances in Pure Mathematics (APM) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/apm.2013.33047
Abstract:

In this paper we will extend the well-known chain of inequalities involving the Pythagorean means, namely the harmonic, geometric, and arithmetic means to the more refined chain of inequalities by including the logarithmic and identric means using nothing more than basic calculus. Of course, these results are all well-known and several proofs of them and their generalizations have been given. See [1-6] for more information. Our goal here is to present a unified approach and give the proofs as corollaries of one basic theorem.

Using Harmonic Mean to Solve Multi-Objective Linear Programming Problems  [PDF]
Nejmaddin A. Sulaiman, Rebaz B. Mustafa
American Journal of Operations Research (AJOR) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ajor.2016.61004
Abstract:

In this paper, we have suggested a new technique to transform multi-objective linear programming problem (MOLPP) to the single objective linear programming problem by using Harmonic mean for values of function and an algorithm is suggested for its solution, the computer application of algorithm has been demonstrated by solving some numerical examples. We have used some other techniques, such as (sen, arithmetic mean, median) to solve the same problems, the results in Table 3 indicate that the new technique in general is promising.

Idioma y globalización: ?Un nuevo término para un viejo fenómeno?
Estrada Molné,Alba T; García Benítez,Vicente;
Humanidades M??dicas , 2001,
Abstract: the globalization process implies a necessary communication to be posible to carry it out. it could be said that this communication has become possible in our days through the english languaje, because it is the language of the business of the technical-scientific advences and its literature, as well as of many of the massive means of communication. it is necessary to wonder if this globalization phenomenon is something originated in this concrete historical moment or it is a tendency that has antecedents in the past. then the purpose of this work is to analize how in the course of the humanity has existed an expansion of certain languages related with political and economical factors of the world supremacy. it is carried out a historical review that compaises since the greek world until the xx century. besides it is offered a panorama of the development of the linguistic, philosophical and pedagogical theories in the different stages of the history. it is showed that since hellenic civilization until the present time processes of universalization of the language of the dominant powers have been developed in some atages in a total way an in others, partially according to the well-known world in those periods. it is concluded that the globalization of the language is not a current phenomenon, but historical, that the two philosophical positions (materialism and idealism) have impacted in the linguistic and pedagogical theories present in all studied historiacal period and it is remarkable the postmodernist position of the communicative focus of the teaching english and its first world tendency
Urban Youth Culture in Bangladesh under the Sway of Cultural Globalization: A Descriptive Analysis  [PDF]
Muhammad Zakir Hossin, Mohammad Mohiuddin
Sociology Mind (SM) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/sm.2015.53019
Abstract: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study which aims to present the contemporary youth culture in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, with an emphasis on the underlying role of cultural globalization. To meet the objective of the study, a survey was conducted in 2012 among the students of three leading private universities in Dhaka city. The central theme of the study revolves around the idea that globalization as a process transforms our cultures and affects our lives wherever we live. There has been a heated debate among the researchers on the issue of media effects on the youths. The debate mainly centers around the question: Does what our young generation watch on the global media really influence their behaviors and choices, or the norms and values associated with those behaviors and choices are strictly learned through the guidance of parents, teachers, peers, and the society at large? This study documents that the global media have large-scale impact on the audiences who are exposed to them. As the survey findings indicate, the urban youth culture in Bangladesh is no longer identical to her long-standing traditional patterns but is found to be melting into western norms of dress-codes, food habits, attitude, and life styles. The study demonstrates that the young generation in urban Bangladesh prefers trendy clothes, fast food, western style of marriage and family, western music, movies, festivals, and so on, reflecting a shift toward a consumer culture with global values.

Natural Science (NS) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ns.2013.59120
Abstract:

This paper presents the impact of mean maximum temperature on Chitral river basin situated at Chitral district and high altitude (>6000 m) peaks of the Hindukush range under changing climate in Pakistan. The analysis of Chitral River as one of the tributary of Kabul River—the second largest river of Pakistan—revealed that change in temperature has a profound influence on the snow/glacial melt in comparison to the mean monthly rainfall. This is because the studied river is faded by the snow and glacial melt and receives a lot of snowfall from winter (DecFeb) to pre-monsoon (April-May). In monsoon period (Jul-Sep), 30% of the time the discharge rate remains above the mean while 60% of the time the discharge is less than the mean in the pre-monsoon (April-May) period. It means that 10% of the time the discharge is in reach of 300% to 900% of the mean flow, showing a rise in water yield and river discharge rate due to increase in mean monthly maximum temperature. Due to this significant increase (p < 0.05), the glaciers start melting faster and disappear in early summer, hence, reducing their residency period to convert into ice. This shows the signals of changing climate transfer into hydrological changes in Pakistan. Our findings are important for agriculture, hydropower and water management sectors for future planning especially in dry season for sustainable food security and for operation of ydrological installations in the country.
