Anales del Instituto de la Patagonia , 2011, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-686X2011000100005
Abstract: although ladybirds are the most charismatic beetles, are practically unknown in the magellan region. for this reason, the purpose of this study is to compile, update and submit new records of ladybirds, also provide regional distribution, biogeographical and ecological data. 13 species of ladybirds from magellan region are recorded in the literature and fve new records are added. we discussed their regional distribution and its possible relationship to phytogeographical regions proposed for magellan region.

Folia Horticulturae , 2011, DOI: 10.2478/v10245-011-0006-5
Abstract: During the sampling period, 243 syrphid larvae belonging to seven species were collected from M. cerasi colonies on P. avium. Episyrphus balteatus Deg. and Epistrophe eligans (Harr.) were the most numerous species amongst the materials gathered, followed by Syrphus ribesii (L.) and S. vitripennis Meig. All of these species play an essential role in reducing M. cerasi populations. Amongst the Coccinellidae occurring in black cherry aphid colonies, Adalia bipunctata L. was the dominant species, while the subdominant was Coccinella septempunctata L. and Propylaea quatuordecimpunctata (L.).
