Iranian Journal of Pediatrics , 2008,
Abstract: Objective: Scientific articles are indicators of research interests and efforts in every country. The aim of our study was to compare the scientific output between universities of medical sciences in Iran on pediatrics in the Pubmed database.Methods: In a descriptive study, we searched in Pubmed in order to assess the Iranian pediatrics publications with these words: "(Pediatric [*MeSH] OR Neonate [MeSH] OR Newborn[MeSH] OR Infant [MeSH] OR Child [MeSH] OR Children [MeSH] OR Adolescent[MeSH] OR Adolescence [MeSH])" AND (Iran [*AD] OR Iranian [AD] OR Persian [AD]). The identified articles were published May 1957 to December 2007 and we selected all articles from universities of medical sciences in Iran. We extracted year of publication, affiliation of authors and impact factor from hard copy of articles.Findings: From 819 papers published, 565 were authored by members of universities of medical sciences. Tehran University of Medical Sciences with 142 articles (17.3% of all, 25.1% from publications of universities of medical sciences) held the first place, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences with 116 (14.2% of all, 20.5% from publications of universities of medical sciences) the second place and Shaheed Beheshti University of Medical Sciences with 88 (10.7% of all, 15.5% from publications of universities of medical sciences) the third place. Regarding Impact Factors (IF) Tehran, Shaheed Beheshti and Shiraz Universities of Medical Sciences with 153, 93 and 81 were in the first, second and third place, respectively.Conclusion: Tehran University of Medical Sciences had twenty five percent of pediatric science production in Iran. This university had published higher number of papers on pediatrics among universities of medical sciences in Iran.

ACIMED , 2005,
Abstract: this is a bibliometric study of the articles indexed in the web of science, which comprises nanotechnology as a scientific discipline. the word nanotechnology was chosen as a search strategy in any of the database fields of the institute for scientific information of philadelphia. a total of 1809 article registries were obtained and downloaded in text pattern, and then sent to a file of the endnote program, with the aim of creating the frequency indexes of the studied variants. the most productive authors, journals and geographical areas were identified. in this sense, the leading role of the united states, germany, japan and the united kingdom was evidenced. an exponential growth in the amount of articles was observed, which shows the boom this new discipline has experienced during the last years. bilateral and multilateral cooperation among the countries to develop nanotechnological research was analysed, and the nanotechnology potentials as a scientific discipline for the coming years were also assessed.

Open Journal of Business and Management (OJBM) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/ojbm.2017.53037
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to reveal the evolution of intellectual structure in the field of organization studies between 1990 and 2010, during which the complicated and diversified developing trends puzzled most researchers. 20386 academic articles from the top 41 journals are selected as the data source. With these data, terms co-occurrence analysis and clustering analysis are conducted with the software of CiteSpace. On the basis of bibliometric analysis, the paper identifies dominating research topics and changes of research focus in organization studies during the past two decades. Results show that the evolution path of organization studies can be traced out by the organizational elements of environment, strategy, institution and personnel, spanning different research levels. Finally the paper discusses the front research in future study.
Análisis bibliométrico de la revista Archivos Latinoamericanos de Nutrición
Díaz Mujica,Desireé;
Anales Venezolanos de Nutrición , 2007,
Abstract: abstracts: the bibliometric indicators of the journal " archivos latinoamericanos de nutrición" (alan alan) were analyzed by taking the articles published between september, 1990 and june, 2003 as study samples. the descriptive- retrospective methodology was applied, where quantitative and qualitative indicators (categories and statistical accessibility) were explored, as modified by gonzález de dios, between the periods 1996-1997 and 2001- 2002. according to our research, 55.9% of researchers published only one article in the studied journal. the mean number of authors per article was 3±1.8, showing that the production of articles per year in the alan journal has been decreasing progressively. most of the published articles were in the spanish language (66.6%), and among the countries which contributed with the most publications were venezuela with 21.1% and brazil with 19.9%. among the institutions, the universidad de chile was the most productive with 24.9%, followed by the universidad central de venezuela with 17.6%. certain topic areas, such as child malnutrition, have disappeared. women show a high level of productivity with 54.3%, compared to that of men with 35.1%. a high percentage of papers (35.2%) did not use complex statistical procedures. in conclusion, the journal remains within the bibliometric indicators of other journals, both latin american and of other hemispheres, and has provided us with an approach to the reality of our scientific activity within the nutrition context. an venez nutr 2007;20 (1): 22-29

Guarido Filho, Edson Ronaldo;Machado-da-Silva, Clóvis L.;Gon?alves, Sandro Aparecido;
BAR. Brazilian Administration Review , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S1807-76922009000400003
Abstract: this article is based on the assumption that the construction of scientific knowledge is a social process characterized by the recursive dynamic between the social and intellectual dimensions. in light of this statement, we investigated how the construction of the institutional perspective is delineated in the context of organizational studies in brazil from 1993 to 2007. the study is based on documentary research of articles published in scientific journals and at academic events. for this purpose, we analyzed social networks and used bibliometric indicators in order to map the cooperation relationships between researchers and intellectual framework, based on the cited authors. the results show the influence of social relationships in the process of constructing scientific knowledge. the findings reveal that the expansion of the field is based on the growing elaboration of a social organization with close links to the activities of continuant and transient researchers. these circumstances denote the stratification both of production and the relationships between authors, since continuant and transient researchers are responsible for the intermediation of relations and the consolidation of production in the academic field that is being analyzed. the findings also reveal a secondary dynamic of the activities of researchers located on the margin of the network and the presence of brazilian researchers among the most cited authors, an indication of a legitimized local intellectual base.

Perspectivas em Ciência da Informa??o , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-99362011000400003
Abstract: this research aims at analyzing the indicators of impact and relevance - total of published articles, average of citations, total number of citations and index h of the most productive researchers in the "metric studies" field, within periods of the scopus base by means of a correlation study, determining the best equation of regression of index h due to the total of citations, as well as to all other indicators under analysis. as research procedure, we used the search terms "bibliometr* or scientometr* or infometr* or webometr* or informetr* or webmemetr* or paentometr*", obtaining 36 researchers as the most productive ones. for each indicator, the following descriptive statistics were calculated: maximum, minimum, average, standard deviation and coefficient of variation. the coefficient of correlation of pearson was calculated and adjusted to the equation of regression of index h due to the total of citations. the equation of multiple regression was identified, from index h due to the other indicators. concluding, we highlight the need for a matching of such indicators to broadly describe a researcher's multifaceted profile, seeing the complementarity of information provided by the indicators of productivity and impact, from distinctive nature.
