Ivana Valová
Financial Assets and Investing , 2011,
Abstract: The final version of the New Capital Accord, which includes operational risk, was released by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision in June 2004. The article “Basel II approaches for the calculation of the regulatory capital for operational risk” is devoted to the issue of operational risk of credit financial institutions. The paper talks about methods of operational risk calculation, advantages and disadvantages of particular methods.
The Operational Risk – Minimum Capital Requirements
Gabriela Victoria Anghelache,Ana Cornelia Olteanu
Theoretical and Applied Economics , 2009,
Abstract: This paper aims to present how to quantify the minimum capital requirement for operational risk using three approaches proposed by the Basel Committee to identify optimal allocation of capital, given that until recently to this risk has been allocated a minimum attention, considering that it has a low impact on the business of financial institutions.

Abstract: its main objective is to succinctly present a description of the models considered the most relevant in the wide range of possibilities for the quantification of operational risk. the article is structured in the following form: first it briefly contextualizes operational risk in the frame of financial risks in general, and in the frame of the current regulations world-wide. in the following section the basic models (basic indicator approach, indicator standard approach and alternative standard approach) proposed for the quantification of the operational risk are described. then it describes the minimum general, qualitative and quantitative requirements, in the light of the new basilea agreement, that should be met by the advanced measurement approach that financial organizations try to submit to approval of the regulating institutions. later, it shows some recent specific local and world-wide studies and finally some conclusions are obtained.

Abstract: The habitat of ash-alder swamp forest, was studied in a phytosociological context. A census of changes in the species composition of natural communities was performed 40 years after the original survey had been carried out in 31 relevés located in natural forests. The study sites were localized in Augustów and Bia owie a nature reserves. Re-sampling of relevés followed the same Braun-Blanquet assumptions as previously. The chemical characteristics from nine soil cores were also analysed, and the peat thickness and ground water table level were measured close to every vegetation sample. Phytosociological surveys were conducted in both spring and summer. Comparative analysis of vegetation data from the two periods (old - new relevés) was performed for selected variables: species richness, layers cover, ecological indicator values, number of occurrences and cover coefficients of species and syntaxonomical groups. The analysis of changes in the natural communities of vegetation occurring on ash-alder swamp forest habitat over the last 40 years indicated that decreasing humidity has caused the succession of ash-alder swamp forest to moist variants of oak-lime-hornbeam forest. An increase in cover of the understorey layer (and parallel decrease in cover of the moss layer) was evident in every sample. The species richness increased significantly over time, but this was mainly caused by the increasing number of species in the herbal flora. The species richness increasing significantly, but it was mainly caused by increasing of species number in herbal flora.

Educaci?3n M??dica Superior , 2004,
Abstract: the philosophical, epistemological and methodological aspects that were taken into account in the curricular desing of the specialties of basic biomedical sciences directed to the training of professors and researchers needed by the cuban national health system to gurantee the continuity of the training of all the professionals and the scientific development of medical sciences to respond to the social task. the elements of the curricular evaluation are described and it is evidenced the need to apply it to these designs to increase the quality of the planning and implementation processes, as well as their results, given by the level of competnece of the graduates.
Ense?anza de la educación ambiental desde el enfoque inteligente
Fuentes,Lorena; Caldera,Yaxcelys; Mendoza,Iván;
Educere , 2007,
Abstract: due to the situation humanity is facing regarding the increasing environmental deterioration; several organizations have proposed the inclusion of environmental education as a fundamental aspect in educational systems. this has been assumed by venezuela in the current curricular design for the second stage basic education (high school). environmental education teaching from an intelligent point of view needs to leave old schemes (mechanicism) and to approach a new structure of thought that facilitates the outcrop, verification and perfection of the internal images that each individual has about the environment and its preservation. the purpose of this research was to reveal the explicit elements of the intelligent approach in environmental education teaching during second stage basic education. this was a qualitative study with an ethnographic approach. the findings allowed establishing the prevalence of individual visions, mechanistic models and a fragmented vision of the curriculum, developing environmental education as a subject matter and not as a transverse axis
Diagnosis del proceso de compresion lectora en la segunda etapa de educacion basica
Telles,Alberto; Bruzual,Raquel;
Paradígma , 2005,
Abstract: the poor performance in the various areas that make up the curriculum in the second level of the "barrio nuevo" basic school of the municipality "mercedes diaz" in valera, trujillo state, motivated this investigation. the central objective of the study was to evaluate the process of reading comprehension among students attending the second level in the school. the theoretical approach employed was the linguistic communication (bruzual, 2002). the investigation was descriptive non-experimental and the study population included randomly selected students in the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. analysis of the results showed that the students were unable to identify the principal ideas and the anaphores, built the text titles, identify inferences, adequately use synonyms and antonyms, built predictions and develop conclusions according to the text and context. as a consequence, the students presented a low level of reading comprehension not understanding the meaning of the texts, due to the limited handling of the linguistic components and cognitives operations that do not allow for an adequate coherent and effective use of reading.
Comparision of traditional and computer aided teaching approaches for the preschoolers’ color concept acquisition
Nihal Demir,Abdülkadir Kabaday?
International Journal of Human Sciences , 2008,
Abstract: The aim of the study is to compare effect of education with computer and traditional education system to 3-4 years old children attending pre-school institution to have them gain basic and unbasic colors. For this aim, giving color concept with computer education and traditional education research it is investigated which method is more effective for 3-4 years old children who attend nursery school in Sel uklu.The research is planned as experimental. In this study, children are divided into two groups. Half of them are in experimental group with computer; and half of them are in control group with traditional education method. After training for a period, color evaluation scale is put into practise.In analyzing data, independent t test is used. Significant differences are found betwen the methods. When the total point is statistically evaluated, significant diffirences are found betwen the comprehension level of the color of the two groups who got computer and traditional method of teaching to learn basic and unbasic color (p<0,05). Therefore, the group who got computer education method of teaching are found to be more successful than the group who get the traditional method of teaching in learning the color.
