Color-Tunable Hybrid White Organic Light-Emitting Diodes with Double Interlayers  [PDF]

Abstract:
An efficient color-tunable hybrid white organic light-emitting diode is demonstrated with double interlayers of 2,7-bis(carbazol-9-yl)-9,9-ditoylfluo- rene/2-(diphenylphosphoryl) spiroflu-orene (DMFL-CBP/SPPO1) inserted between blue fluorescent and yellow phosphorescent-emitting layers, and exhibits Commission Internationale de l’Eclairage (CIE1931) ranging from warm white (0.4368, 0.4497) to cool white (0.2781, 0.2896) with driving current density from 0.2 to 40 mA/cm2. The recombination of singlet and the triplet excitons in blue fluores-cent-emitting layer and yellow phosphorescent-emitting layer, respectively, can be modulated by both the thickness of these double interlayers and the applied current densities.

The ion-implanted samples exhibit their photoluminescence with different intensities and different peak wavelengths after thermal annealing. A matrix description for $K_1$ of graded rings

Abstract: The current paper is dedicated to the study of the classical $K_1$ groups of graded rings. Let $A$ be a $\Gamma$ graded ring with identity $1$, where the grading $\Gamma$ is an abelian group. We associate a category with suspension to the $\Gamma$ graded ring $A$. This allows us to construct the group valued functor $K_1$ of graded rings. It will be denoted by $K_1^{gr}$. It is not only an abelian group but also a $\mathbb Z[\Gamma]$-module. From the construction, it follows that there exists "locally" a matrix description of $K_1^{gr}$ of graded rings. The matrix description makes it possible to compute $K_1^{gr}$ of various types of graded rings. The $K_1^{gr}$ satisfies the well known $K$-theory exact sequence $$ K_{1}^{gr}(A,I)\to K_1^{gr}(A)\to K_1^{gr}(A/I) $$ for any graded ideal $I$ of $A$. The above is used to compute $K^{gr}_1$ of cross products.
Magnetic properties of perpendicularly orientated L10 FePt nanoparticles

Abstract: L10 FePt films were deposited on MgO (001) substrates heated to 700°C by magnetron sputtering. Assisted by the misfit of lattice between film and substrate, strong (001) texture was formed. The film at nominal thickness t N = 5 nm was composed of nanoparticles with a size of ~70 nm, and showed a high coercivity of ~105 kOe at 4.2 K. At t N =~50 nm, as the film changed from discontinuous to continuous, the coercivity dropped about one order of magnitude. Micromagnetic simulation implies that the magnetization reversal is a vortex-like nuclear type. The ideal coercivity of a separated single-domain L10 FePt nanoparticle with a size of 70 nm× 70 nm× 5 nm is ~121 kOe. This tells us that the experimental coercivity has nearly reached the limit of ideal single crystalline nanoparticles.

Abstract: During typical microRNA (miRNA) biogenesis, one strand of a ~22 nt RNA duplex is preferentially selected for entry into a silencing complex, whereas the other strand, known as the passenger strand or miRNA* strand, is degraded. Recently, some miRNA* sequences were reported as guide miRNAs with abundant expression. Here, we intended to discover evolutionary implication of the fate of miRNA* strand by analyzing miRNA/miRNA* sequences across vertebrates.
Triangular objects and systematic K-theory

Abstract: We investigate modules over "systematic" rings. Such rings are "almost graded" and have appeared under various names in the literature; they are special cases of the G-systems of Grzeszczuk. We analyse their K-theory in the presence of conditions on the support, and explain how this generalises and unifies calculations of graded and filtered K-theory scattered in the literature. Our treatment makes systematic use of the formalism of idempotent completion and a theory of triangular objects in additive categories, leading to elementary and transparent proofs throughout.

Abstract: Porous silicon microcavities have been prepared by the pulsed electrochemical etching method(PEEM).The orthogonal experimental method has been adopted to optimize the experimental conditions for fabrication of porous silicon microcavities.The optimal conditions obtained from experiments are:the period of 5ms;the duty cycle of 5/10 and the Bragg reflector consisting of 6 pairs of quarter wave length layers.Under this condition,the full width at half maximum of the light emission peak is reduced to be 6nm.A dynamic etching model based on the diffusion of HF acid is used to explain the experimental results.It indicates that the narrow emission peak of porous silicon microcavities prepared by PEEM can be attributed not only to the longitudinal etching,but also to the transverse etching (soaking etching) of HF.

Abstract: This paper analyzes the impact of risk aversion and retailer’s cost lied factor on supply chain decision-making in a hybrid channel supply chain system consisting of a risk-averse manufacturer and a retailer. According to the expected utility maximization theory, this paper gets the optimal decision of the manufacturer and retailer. First, it analyzes the impact of risk aversion factor on pricing decisions of supply chain members when the information of the retailer’s cost is public. Next, this paper considers the fact that the retailer has advantages on cost information, analyzes the relations between the retailer’s optimal cost lied factor and each parameter.
