Abstract: The searching of parking burns a lot of barrels of the world’s oil every day. Car parking problem is a major contributor in congestion of traffic and has been, still a major problem with increasing vehicle size in the luxurious segment and also confines parking spaces in urban cities. The rapid growth in the number of vehicles worldwide is intensifying the problem of the lack of parking space. As the global population continues to urbanize, without a well-planned, convenience-driven retreat from the car, these problems will worsen in many countries. The current unmanaged car parks and transportation facilities make it difficult to accommodate the increasing number of vehicles in a proper, convenient manner so it is necessary to have an efficient and smart parking system. Smart parking management systems are capable of providing extreme level of convenience to the drivers. In this paper, a proposed web App system, named “Park Easy” is based on the usage of smart phones, sensors monitoring techniques with a camera which is used as a sensor to take photos to show the occupancy of cars parks. By implementing this system, the utilization of parking spaces will increase. It allocates available parking space to a given driver to park their vehicle, renew the availability of the parking space when the car leaves and compute the charges due. Smart parking App, “Park Easy”, will also enable most important techniques to provide all the possible shortage route for parking from any area of the city mainly, it helps to predict accurately and sense spot/vehicle occupancy in real-time.

Abstract: Plant viruses generate economic loss for farmers, producers, and consumers by adversely affecting plant growth and reproduction; causing death of host tissues and plants, sterility, reduction of yield or quality, crop failure, increased susceptibility to other stresses, loss of aesthetic value, quarantine and eradication of infected plants; and the increasing the cost of control and detection programs. Barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV) is globally recognized as one of the most widespread and damaging diseases of cereal crops. It is vectored by aphids. The disease causes discoloration of leaves, stunted growth due to reduced internode elongation, inhibition of leaf initiation, reduced tillering, suppressed heading and sterility. These symptoms lead to significant yield losses up to 80 %. Breeding for resistance is a sustainable and environmentally friendly method of control, reducing the application of pesticides.

Musculoskeletal manifestations of atypical Mycobacterium are very rare and they can be easily missed by the junior doctors. We are presenting two cases of atypical Mycobacterium: the first one was infected by cleaning a fish tank and the other was immune-compromised patients. Both the cases were treated with broad spectrum antiboitics initially, with no results, unless the specimen cultures were obtained surgically and the specific cultures were asked. Electrical Transport Properties of Catalyzed Multi wall Carbon Nanotubes Film

Abstract: Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) can be understood as one or more graphite sheets rolled up into a seamless cylinder. CNTs have gained much attention and scientific interest due to their unique properties and potential applications since their discovery in 1991. In the present work, we have deposited Ni95Ti5 film using thermal deposition method. Finally, the Ni95Ti5 catalyzed multi wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) are grown on silicon substrate using low pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD) method and the electrical transport properties of this MWNTs film are studied over a temperature range (284–4K) to explain the conduction mechanism. We have suggested two types of conduction mechanism for the entire temperature range. For the temperature region (284–220K), the conduction is due to thermally activated process, whereas the conduction takes place via variable range hopping (VRH) for the temperature range of (220–4K). The VRH mechanism changes from three dimensions to two dimensions as we move down to the temperature below 50K. Therefore, the data for the temperature region (220–50K) is plotted for three dimensional variable range hopping (3D VRH) model and the two dimensional variable range hopping (2D VRH) for lower temperature range of (50–4K). These VRH models give a good fit to the experimental data. Using these models, we have calculated various interesting electrical parameters such as activation energy, density of states, hopping distance and hopping energy.
Effect of Composition on Electrical and Optical Properties of Thin Films of Amorphous GaxSe100 x Nanorods

Abstract: We report the electrical and optical studies of thin films of a-GaxSe100 x nanorods (x = 3, 6, 9 and 12). Thin films of a-GaxSe100 x nanorods have been synthesized thermal evaporation technique. DC electrical conductivity of deposited thin films of a-GaxSe100 x nanorods is measured as a function of temperature range from 298 to 383 K. An exponential increase in the dc conductivity is observed with the increase in temperature, suggesting thereby a semiconducting behavior. The estimated value of activation energy decreases on incorporation of dopant (Ga) content in the Se system. The calculated value of pre-exponential factor (σ0) is of the order of 101 Ω 1 cm 1, which suggests that the conduction takes place in the band tails of localized states. It is suggested that the conduction is due to thermally assisted tunneling of the carriers in the localized states near the band edges. On the basis of the optical absorption measurements, an indirect optical band gap is observed in this system, and the value of optical band gap decreases on increasing Ga concentration.

General-Appell Polynomials within the Context of Monomiality Principle

Abstract: A general class of the 2-variable polynomials is considered, and its properties are derived. Further, these polynomials are used to introduce the 2-variable general-Appell polynomials (2VgAP). The generating function for the 2VgAP is derived, and a correspondence between these polynomials and the Appell polynomials is established. The differential equation, recurrence relations, and other properties for the 2VgAP are obtained within the context of the monomiality principle. This paper is the first attempt in the direction of introducing a new family of special polynomials, which includes many other new special polynomial families as its particular cases. 1. Introduction and Preliminaries The Appell polynomials are very often found in different applications in pure and applied mathematics. Optical and Structural Properties of ZnO Thin Films Fabricated by Sol-Gel Method  [PDF]

Abstract: Highly oriented and transparent ZnO thin films have been fabricated on ultrasonically cleaned quartz substrates by the sol-gel technique. X-ray diffraction, UV-VIS, FTIR, photoluminescence and SEM are used to characterize ZnO thin films. X-ray diffraction study show that all the films prepared in this work have hexagonal wurtzite structure, with lattice constants a = b = 3.260 Å, c = 5.214 Å. The optical band gap energy of the thin films is found to be direct allowed transition ~3.24 eV. The FTIR spectrum of the film has the characteristics ZnO absorption band at 482 cm?1. The photoluminescence spectrum of the samples has an UV emission peak centred at 383 nm with broad band visible emission centred in the range of 500 - 600 nm.
Evaluation of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Varieties for Their Potential Grain Yield under the Agro-ecological Conditions of D.I.Khan

Abstract: Ten wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) varieties viz., Inqalab-91, Sulaiman-96, Bakhtawar-92, Punjab-96, Pirsabak-91, Daman-98, Sarsabz, Sughat, MH-97 and Dera-98 were compared for different agronomic traits Daman-98 produced maximum 1000-grain weight and minimum number of fertile tillers m -2. Inqalab-91 showed maximum germination counts m -2, grains per spike, grain yield and harvest index, while maximum number of fertile tillers m -2 were observed in Sughat. Inqalab-91 proved to be the best yielding variety for D.I. Khan among all tested varieties and Bakhtawar-92, Pirsabak-91, Sughat, MH-97 and Dera-98 can be grown successfully to obtain better grain yields than the remaining wheat varieties.

Abstract: Three consecutive potato crops are grown annually in Pakistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KPK) province is the main source for seed tubers. During the year 2010, 240 symptomatic and viral susceptible potato leave samples were collected from Swat, Dir, Abbottabad and Mansehra and serologically confirmed through Double Antibody Sandwich (DAS) Enzyme Linked Immunosorbant Assay (ELISA) against Potato virus X (PVX), Potato virus Y (PVY), Potato leaf roll virus (PLRV), Potato virus M (PVM), Potato virus S (PVS) and Potato virus A (PVA). The presence or absence of viruses was confirmed by observing the yellow and white color in ELISA plates respectively. According to ELISA results, overall percentage incidence of viral diseases was found highest in Swat (65%) followed by Mansehra (61%), Dir (53%) and Abbottabad (43.33%) while PVY and PVS were dominant in Swat (26.66%), Dir (20%), Mansehra (15%) and Abbottabad (21.66%) respectively. PVX was not detected in Abbottabad while Swat samples seemed to be free from PVM and PVA.
