Abstract: aiming to contribute to the current and intense process of revision of conceptions and educational practices mediating learning and development of young children in day care centers and pre-schools, and based on our research experiences at cindedi, this paper approaches several questions which, in our view, are relevant for the understanding of collective education. how does developmental research contribute to this discussion? what conceptions about development is it based on? which methodological perspectives are more promising for the comprehension of the ways children and their teachers act and change with their experiences? how to understand notions such as developmental stages, teachers’ role in the learning process, factors explaining infant development and developmental evaluations in infancy? both family and childcare professionals interact with the child and organize his/her environment according to their expectations about his/her development and their own role in this process. these expectations are built through their life experiences in their particular culture. many expectations, beliefs and psychological theories have, thus, a strong self-fulfilling power, helping to build competencies and deficiencies. children and the professional staff of child education institutions have undoubtedly much to gain from reflecting on these questions.

Oliveira, Zilma de Moraes Ramos de;Silva, Ana Paula Soares;Cardoso, Fernanda Moreno;Augusto, Silvana de Oliveira;
Cadernos de Pesquisa , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-15742006000300003
Abstract: this work has a double goal: a) to provide evidences that help to understand learning-identity and theory-practice relationships constructed during a teacher-education formation program; and, b) to identify if such relationships are modified by the formative experiences. at the end of the program, each participant produced a paper in a self-narrative form, that was analyzed through a theoretic-methodological perspective that is known as network of meanings.
A constru??o de uma proposta pedagógica para creches: uma trajetória de pesquisa em psicologia do desenvolvimento
Ferreira, Maria Clotilde Rossetti;Carvalho, Mara Ignez Campos de;Rubiano, Márcia Regina Bonagamba;Oliveira, Zilma de Moraes Ramos de;
Paidéia (Ribeir?o Preto) , 1991, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-863X1991000100002
Abstract: our investigations aim to study some mediators of the child-environment interaction, based on a socio-interactionist approach which conceives the construction of knowledge, of language and of subjectivity as occurring by and through the interactions the individual establishes with other people, in a setting organized and structured by the adults according to their conceptions about child development and education. some basic points have been raised for the construction of educational proposals for day care centers, which require a revision of the role of the caretaker and of day care professionals.
Desafios metodológicos na perspectiva da rede de significa??es
Rossetti-Ferreira, Maria Clotilde;Amorim, Kátia de Souza;Soares-Silva, Ana Paula;Oliveira, Zilma de Moraes Ramos de;
Cadernos de Pesquisa , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-15742008000100007
Abstract: this work seeks to clarify some of the assumptions of the theoretical-methodological perspective known as net of meanings which was initially used to investigate human development and lately has been incorporated into studies about education, health, and other subjects. specifically, the text looks into methodological issues arising from its appropriation, as well as from the referentials with which this perspective holds a dialogue. starting from the contextualization of paradigms which includes the phenomena in their complexity, in their transformation processes and that are systematically constituted by multiple dimensions, the challenges the researcher comes across are discussed in the analysis of the set of elements of personal, relational, and contextual order which interacts in the reality being investigated. our assumption is that there is a need for a dialectical approach that contemplates the description of a micro history of the processes which can be interpreted from a semiotics perspective and which takes into account the most comprehensive conditions of culture and history. the relationship between the subject-object of the observation/investigation and the active role played by the researcher, who is seen as a toolmaker in the empirical studies, is also discussed.

SMAD Revista Electrónica Salud Mental, Alcohol y Drogas , 2011,
Andrade, Tania Moraes Ramos;Argimon, Irani Iracema de Lima;
Psicologia em Estudo , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-73722008000300018
Abstract: the association between depressive symptoms and cannabis use is investigated. due to the fact that depression has been a common psyquiatric disorder in adolescence, depressive cases usually present high rates of psychiatric comorbidities and the abuse of psychoactive substances is frequent. systematic review, studies at psycinfo, proquest, web of science and lilacs databases analyzed between 2000 and 2005 are discussed. results show that nine out of the thirty-six studies discuss depression and cannabis use or addiction in adolescents. whereas the association between depressive symptoms and the use of cannabis during adolescence is confirmed, it is more frequent in an early and continuous cannabis use. research shows that depressive symptoms are related to cannabis use, abuse and dependence during adolescence. abovementioned variables must be investigated in clinical practice and in prevention programs that simultaneously focus on these disorders.

Abstract: background: published data suggest that rates of thromboembolism and bleeding, in patients with mechanical heart valve prostheses, can be very small by optimizing current anticoagulant therapy. objective: to evaluate the occurrence of complications in patients with mechanical heart valve prostheses undergoing anticoagulant therapy optimized through specialized clinics. methods: we studied the occurrence of complications over 10 years in 261 anticoagulated patients with mechanical heart valve prostheses, followed in specialized clinics. these patients were divided into two groups according to percentage of queries with prothrombin time (inr) within the desired range: g1-0% to 50.00% and g2-50.01% to 100% of appointments. we evaluated the occurrence of thromboembolic and bleeding complications in their entirety or subdivided into major and minor, according to gravity. the results are presented in an actuarial study and frequency of occurrence of linear events. results: the actuarial study showed that, over time, more g2 (with 50.01% to 100% of the consultations with inr in desired range) more patients were free of the occurrence of any event, of minor bleeding events or the marked increase of rni. the linearized frequency of occurrence in all types events, were also lower in group g2. conclusions: the period of time that patients that remain within the desired anticoagulation interval has directly relations with occurrence of complications. even with careful follow-up at a specialized outpatient unit, only approximately one third of the patients showed an adequate anticoagulation level in more than half of the consultations.

Estudos Econ?micos (S?o Paulo) , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-41612010000300007
Abstract: this paper identifies the opportunity costs in effluent allocation over sugarcane crop acres located more than 2km away from the agroindustry plant jb, during the harvest season. the optimization problem described herein explains why these opportunity costs are usually missed. actually, these costs derive from the marginal values associated to the decision-making variables concerning an economic benefit maximization problem resolved using the general algebraic modeling system (gams) and from the dual analysis of the linearized problem therein. besides, different effluent transportation and effluent treatment cost coefficients were considered in simulating possible impacts and benefits regarding effluent allocation. this approach supports the optimal definition of charging and/or subsidizing schemes best suited to allocate effluents over sugarcane crops located farther away from hub agroindustry plants, not just for more disseminated productivity gains, but also for best compliance with river water quality constraints.
