Investigation of airborne fungi at different altitudes in Shenzhen University  [PDF]

Abstract: Aim: To investigate the richness of species or genera of airborne fungi, the amount of airborne fungi, and its seasonal variation at different al-titudes in Shenzhen University. The effect of meteorological factors on airborne fungi was also analyzed. Methods: Slide-exposure me- thod and open-plate method were used. Results: There were 27 genera or species of fungus spores identified. Among the identified fungal genus, Cladosporium, Ustilago, Alternaria, Helminth-sporium and Uredinales were more prevalent. There were 18 genera of fungi colonies identified. Among which Penicillium, non-sporulating fungi, Aspergillus, Saccharomyces and Cladosporium were more common. The airborne fungal spores were present in the atmosphere of Shenzhen University all year round. The peaks of airborne spores appeared during April and October, while the lowest numbers were observed during January, July and December from March 2005-Febrary 2006. The highest volumes of fungi colonies were observed during April, October and September, while the lowest numbers were de-tected during in January, July and December or May from March 2005-Febrary 2006. The meteoro-logical factors had no relationship between the total monthly spore count at 10 and 30 meter height. At 70 meter, the total spores count was negatively correlated with solar radiation. Conclusions: Most of the fungi spores decreased along with the increase of altitudes.
Some Subclasses of Meromorphic Functions Associated with a Family of Integral Operators

Abstract: Making use of the principle of subordination between analytic functions and a family of integral operators defined on the space of meromorphic functions, we introduce and investigate some new subclasses of meromorphic functions. Such results as inclusion relationships and integral-preserving properties associated with these subclasses are proved. Several subordination and superordination results involving this family of integral operators are also derived.

X(3915) and X(4350) as new members in P-wave charmonium family

Abstract: The analysis of the mass spectrum and the calculation of the strong decay of P-wave charmonium states strongly support to explain the newly observed X(3915) and X(4350) as new members in P-wave charmonium family, i.e., $\chi_{c0}^\prime$ for X(3915) and $\chi_{c2}^{\prime\prime}$ for X(4350). Under the P-wave charmonium assignment to X(3915) and X(4350), the $J^{PC}$ quantum numbers of X(3915) and X(4350) must be $0^{++}$ and $2^{++}$ respectively, which provide the important criterion to test P-wave charmonium explanation for X(3915) and X(4350) proposed by this letter. The decay behavior of the remaining two P-wave charmonium states with the second radial excitation is predicted, and experimental search for them is suggested.
Binarization method to scanning image of thicker book

Abstract: Abstract: Black pieces always appear on the image margin while we scan the thicker book, because the middle gap of thicker book is hard to planish. The ordinary threshold method can't achieve the perfect effect, and it will affect character recognition. This paper proposes a new binarization method to scanning image. Based on dynamic threshold, texture analysis is used on partitional images, then partitional images are separated into different types, and different types will have different algorithms to cope with. This method avoids influences brought by black pieces and the change of background luminance.
Clinical observation on effects of high frequency oscillating ventilation on patients with early acute respiratory distress syndrome

Abstract: Objective  To investigate the effect of high frequency oscillating ventilation (HFOV) on patients with early acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and its mechanism. Methods  Through self controlled study, in 25 patients who met criteria of ARDS, their PaO2/FiO2, Paw, arterial blood pH, PaCO2, Cst, cadiac index (CI), heart rate (HR), central venous pressure (CVP), percentage pulmonary shunt (QS/QT), oxygen index (OI) and incidence rate of ventilator associated lung injury (VALI), ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP) were recorded 1, 3, 5 days before and after HFOV. Results  Five days later, X ray examination showed that all of the patients got better. Seven days later, 3 patients died because of original diseases, but their symptoms of ARDS improved. Three days after HFOV treatment, the value of PaO2/FiO2 (172.5±69.8) and Cst (63.4±10.5) increased compared with baseline (95.5±29.5, 31.5±4.5, P<0.05, P<0.01), while OI(12.8±8.1) and QS/QT (0.28±0.11) decreased compared with baseline (25.4±13.5, 0.46±0.12, P<0.05). There were not significant difference in Paw, PaCO2, arterial blood pH, CVP, HR, CI and related parameters at different time point after treatment (P>0.05). Conclusion  HFOV can improve oxygenation index and pulmonary complications of patients with early ARDS.

Abstract: In this paper we investigate the strong decays of the two newly observed bottom-strange mesons $B_{s1}(5830)$ and $B_{s2}^*(5840)$ in the framework of the quark pair creation model. The two-body strong decay widths of $B_{s1}(5830)^0\to B^{*+}K^-$ and $B_{s2}^*(5840)^0\to B^+K^-, B^{*+}K^-$ are calculated by considering $B_{s1}(5830)$ to be a mixture between $|^1P_1>$ and $|^3P_1>$ states, and $B_{s2}^*(5840)$ to be a $|^3P_2>$ state. The double pion decay of $B_{s1}(5830)$ and $B_{s2}^*(5840)$ is supposed to occur via the intermediate state $\sigma$ and $f_0(980)$. Although the double pion decay widths of $B_{s1}(5830)$ and $B_{s2}^*(5840)$ are smaller than the two-body strong decay widths of $B_{s1}(5830)$ and $B_{s2}^*(5840)$, one suggests future experiments to search the double pion decays of $B_{s1}(5830)$ and $B_{s2}^*(5840)$ due to their sizable decay widths.
Novel charmonium-like structures in the $J/ψφ$ and $J/ψω$ invariant mass spectra

Abstract: Stimulated by the new evidence of Y(4274) observed in the $J/\psi\phi$ invariant mass spectrum, we first propose the charmonium-like state Y(4274) as the S-wave $D_s\bar{D}_{s0}(2317)+h.c.$ molecular state with $J^P=0^-$, which is supported well by dynamics study of the system composed of the pseudoscalar and scalar charmed mesons. The S-wave $D\bar{D}_{0}(2400)+h.c.$ molecular charmonium appears as the molecular partner of Y(4274), which is in accord with the enhancement structure appearing at 4.2 GeV in the $J/\psi\omega$ invariant mass spectrum from B decays. Our study shows that the enhancement structures, $i.e.$, the newly observed Y(4274) and the previously announced $Y(4140)/Y(3930)$ in the $J/\psi\phi$ and $J/\psi\omega$ invariant mass spectra, can be understood well under the uniform framework of the molecular charmonium, which can be tested by future experiments.

Abstract: 先进的微波垂直探测器AMSU(Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit)能接收到穿透一定厚度云层的微波辐射信息,适合于分析热带气旋暖核特征.由辐射传输方程和静力学方程可知,气旋暖核强度同中心海平面气压距平相关联. 本文利用搭载于极轨气象卫星NOAA-16/17/18上的AMSU-A亮温资料,根据2002~2006年之间发生在西北太平洋区域热带气旋的移动路径,匹配出47个热带气旋的183时次个例,并将各时次的暖核最大亮温距平同气象业务部门发布的热带气旋强度报告值建立统计回归方程. 为进一步提高估测精度,在计算亮温距平过程中,提出用于修正扫描点分辨率不均匀所带来取样偏差的方法,并综合利用AMSU-A的7、8双通道信息来进行估测,利用修正后算法得到暖核亮温距平同气旋强度之间的相关系数为0.80,标准偏差为12.2 hPa,对近年来影响我国较大的两个台风(0414"云娜"和0608"桑美")进行个例估测,平均偏差约6 hPa.
