were evaluated against autoluminescent M. tuberculosis H37Ra and standard strain M. tuberculosis H37Rv. No obvious
antitubercular activities could be observed (MIC > 10 ug/mL). The results are in sharp contrast with the previously reported
data.

Abstract: Virus nucleoprotein (NP) is an emerging target for drug development for Influenza. We designed benzamide derivatives as new inhibitors of NP that demonstrate good potency in blocking influenza A. Screening revealed that compound 39 was the most potent molecule in the series, exhibiting IC50 values of 0.46 and 0.27 μM in blocking the replication of H3N2 (A/HK/8/68) and (A/WSN/33) influenza A viral strains. The observed inhibition of viral replication correlated well with cytopathic protection. Furthermore, based on computational analysis and fluorescence microscopy, it was determined that compound 39 inhibited nuclear accumulation by targeting influenza A viral nucleoproteins. Finally, the rodent pharmacokinetic profile of compound 32 displayed half-life of greater than 4 hours and bioavailability greater than 20%, suggesting this class of molecules had drug-like properties.
Phosphodiesterase 4 and compartmentalization of cyclic AMP signaling

Abstract: Cyclic AMP (cAMP), as a second messenger, plays a critical role in cellular signaling transduction. However, it is not clear how this apparently identical cAMP signal induces divergent physiological responses. The potential explanation that cAMP signaling is compartmentalized was proposed by Buxton and Brunton twenty years ago. Compartmentalization of cAMP signaling allows spatially distinct pools of protein kinase A (PKA) to be differently activated. Research on cAMP signaling has regained impetus in many fields of life sciences due to the progress in understanding cAMP signaling complexity and functional diversity. The cAMP/PKA signaling compartments are maintained by A-kinase anchoring proteins (AKAPs) which bind PKA and other signaling proteins, and by PDEs which hydrolyse cAMP and thus terminate PKA activity. PDE4 enzymes belong to PDE superfamily and stand at a crossroad that allows them to integrate various signaling pathways with that of cAMP in spatially distinct compartments. In the current review, the nomenclature, taxonomy and gene expression of PDE4, and the system and region of its effect are described. In addition, the idiographic molecules, mechanisms, and regulation models of PDE4 are summarized. Furthermore, the important roles PDE4 plays in the maturation of rat granulosa cells and cAMP signaling compartmentalization are discussed.
China Banking Market Structure and Performance:Based on Panel Data 2000-2010

Abstract: This paper is devoted to analyzing the relationship between China banking market structure and performance. We employ the methodology of SCP (structure-conduct-performance), introduce macro economics factors into regression model and use the panel data of 14 major commercial banks in China Mainland from 2000 to 2010. The results show that China banking market is still in the oligopoly status, and the oligopoly degree reduces gradually over time. The oligopoly degree has a negative correlation with the performance. The deposit-loan ratio and the capital adequacy ratio have both positive correlations with the performance. We propose four advises for reducing the oligopoly degree and improving banking industry. They are (1) Reducing great banks network externalities barriers; (2) Drawing private capital invests into the banking industry; (3) Slackening restrictions to foreign banks; (4) Developing the market of small-micro enterprises loan. Easily Implemented Rate Compatible Reconciliation Protocol for Quantum Key Distribution

Abstract: Reconciliation is an important step to correct errors in Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). In QKD, after comparing basis, two legitimate parties possess two correlative keys which have some differences and they could obtain identical keys through reconciliation. In this paper, we present a new rate compatible reconciliation scheme based on Row Combining with Edge Variation (RCEV) Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes which could change code rate adaptively in noisy channel where error rate may change with time. Our scheme is easy to implement and could get good efficiency compared to existing schemes. Meanwhile, due to the inherent structure we use, the new scheme not only saves memory space remarkably but also simplifies the decoder architecture and accelerates the decoding.

Abstract:

With local realism quantum mechanics established, we can simply describe an extranuclear electron as a large-scale elastic ring with an elastic phase trajectory. Several small molecules can thus be strictly calculated through the logical method of establishing an accurate mechanical equilibrium equation describing the molecular structure, then solving the strict solutions of this mechanical equation and the corresponding wave equation. The results (bond length and dissociation energy) are in good agreement with observed results—i.e. if it is only coincidence, there should not be such a high probability of agreement between calculated and observed results. The method of local realism quantum mechanics is no longer the semi-empirical method. The method to calculate the electron pairing energy uses a linear regression of the ionization energy obtained through experiment. Nonetheless, it is exciting that there are diatomic molecules such as Na2, K2 and asymmetric HF molecules that possess a non-zero non-bonding electron number in the calculation examples. Moreover, the molecular structures are very intuitive, and the calculation method is much simpler than existing methods.

Quantum Inverse Measurement Theory Contributing to the Birth of Interpretation System of Quantum Mechanics of Local-Realism and Determinism  [PDF]

Abstract: The existing interpretation of quantum mechanics is contrary to common sense. The existing quantum mechanical interpretation schemes are puzzling. The confusing theory is unconvincing, and needs to be amended and completed. The successful interpretation program of quantum mechanics of local-realism and determinism is undoubtedly the most attractive. Preparing the interpretation program deserves to be chosen as a research goal. It is a very good premise to believe that an object particle consists of light-knot of monochromatic waves. According to this premise, the erroneous recognition about “superposition principle, wave-particle duality and uncertainty principle” can be corrected. Under this premise, above research goal is achieved by establishing, applying quantum mechanics inverse measurement theory, adhering to the principle that there must be a complete empirical chain in the derivation process of experimental conclusion, and using the side effect caused by accompanying-light to explain the diffraction experiment of object particles. Electron secondarily diffraction and other experiments directly prove that there is the measurement (observation) which may not destroy quantum coherence. The diffraction experiments of all kinds of particles show that the Keeping and playing of the coherence of moving particles in the vacuum have nothing to do with their previous experience. These are the existing experiments, to be found, that support the theory of quantum inverse measurements. The verification experiment of quantum inverse measurement is designed. The absolute superiorities of quantum inverse measurement and the new view of measurement of quantum mechanics are listed. These superiorities are that: it has the characteristics of local-realism and determinism; it is not contrary to common sense and there is no confusing place; it can predict several phenomena that cannot be predicted by other theories. A solid theoretical foundation has been laid for “correctly understanding the microscopic world” and establishment of local realism quantum mechanics.
Literatures Review on Transaction Costs Measurement Advances

Abstract: Theory of transaction costs and its measurement has been regarded as the focus since its being put forward by scholars. Additionally, researches on the measurement are relatively less in China. This paper devotes to reviewing and analyzing present advanced methodologies of transaction costs measurement. And it summarizes the difficulties of measurement based on the concept of transaction costs. Furthermore, it presents three difficulties of measuring. They are unclear definition of transaction costs, unobservable costs in non-market and the unable replacement of opportunity costs. It concludes the measuring methods both on the macro and micro aspects. On macro aspect, it introduces methods as direct measuring, model-built measuring and margin analysis measuring. On micro aspect, it introduces methods as buy-sale price margin, typical reference quantities method, investigating method and data statistics method.
A Support-Based Reconstruction for SENSE MRI

Abstract: A novel, rapid algorithm to speed up and improve the reconstruction of sensitivity encoding (SENSE) MRI was proposed in this paper. The essence of the algorithm was that it iteratively solved the model of simple SENSE on a pixel-by-pixel basis in the region of support (ROS). The ROS was obtained from scout images of eight channels by morphological operations such as opening and filling. All the pixels in the FOV were paired and classified into four types, according to their spatial locations with respect to the ROS, and each with corresponding procedures of solving the inverse problem for image reconstruction. The sensitivity maps, used for the image reconstruction and covering only the ROS, were obtained by a polynomial regression model without extrapolation to keep the estimation errors small. The experiments demonstrate that the proposed method improves the reconstruction of SENSE in terms of speed and accuracy. The mean square errors (MSE) of our reconstruction is reduced by 16.05% for a 2D brain MR image and the mean MSE over the whole slices in a 3D brain MRI is reduced by 30.44% compared to those of the traditional methods. The computation time is only 25%, 45%, and 70% of the traditional method for images with numbers of pixels in the orders of 10 3, 10 4, and 10 5–10 7, respectively.
