Acute morphine activates satellite glial cells and up-regulates IL-1β in dorsal root ganglia in mice via matrix metalloprotease-9

Abstract: Subcutaneous morphine injection (10 mg/kg) induced robust peripheral glial responses, as evidenced by increased GFAP expression in DRGs but not in spinal cords. The acute morphine-induced GFAP expression is transient, peaking at 2 h and declining after 3 h. Acute morphine treatment also increased IL-1β immunoreactivity in SGCs and IL-1β activation in DRGs. MMP-9 and GFAP are expressed in DRG neurons and SGCs, respectively. Confocal analysis revealed a close proximity of MMP-9 and GFAP immunostaining. Importantly, morphine-induced DRG up-regulation of GFAP expression and IL-1β activation was abolished after Mmp9 deletion or naloxone pre-treatment. Finally, intrathecal injections of IL-1β-selective siRNA not only reduced DRG IL-1β expression but also prolonged acute morphine-induced analgesia.Acute morphine induces opioid receptors- and MMP-9-dependent up-regulation of GFAP expression and IL-1β activation in SGCs of DRGs. MMP-9 could mask and shorten morphine analgesia via peripheral neuron-glial interactions. Targeting peripheral glial activation might prolong acute opioid analgesia.Mounting evidence indicates that activation of spinal cord glial cells such as microglia and astrocytes plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of chronic pain [1-7]. In particular, chronic opioid exposure induces profound changes in spinal cord microglia and astrocytes [8-10]. Upon activation spinal glial cells produce multiple proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 to antagonize morphine analgesia and promote morphine tolerance [11-14], via sensitization of spinal cord dorsal horn neurons [15-17]. For example, IL-1β has been shown to counteract opioid-induced analgesia following both chronic and acute administration of morphine [18]. Abstract: 砂岩油藏沉积相带分布及其引发的储层非均质性已经成为制约油藏滚动勘探和开发生产的瓶颈。在系统观察岩心的基础上并结合钻井、测井资料研究了海拉尔盆地苏德尔特油田兴安岭群Ⅰ油层组的沉积微相特征和分布。结果表明,苏德尔特油田兴安岭群Ⅰ油层组主要发育辫状河三角洲前缘水下分流河道、河口坝、远砂坝以及湖底扇主沟道、主沟堤等沉积微相,其中水下分流河道为最主要的沉积微相。在此基础上,剖析了沉积微相与储层物性、油气分布的关系,指出水下分流河道和河口坝微相砂体为该区有利的油气聚集区。
Practice on medical support in dealing with abandoned chemical weapons by Japanese army in China

Abstract: Japanese abandoned chemical weapons (JACWs) are a momentous and eventful historical issue for both China and Japan. Large quantities of chemical weapons abandoned by the Japanese invaders still remain on Chinese soil after 1945 when Japanese invaders were defeated and surrendered. Up to date, JACWs have been found in 19 provinces (cities or districts) of mainland China. The types of JACWs include chemical bombs, chemical aerial bombs, gas cylinders and loose packed barrels. The types of toxic agents include mustard gas, irritant agents, choking agents, systemic poisoning agents and etc. In order to eliminate JACWs to reduce injuries produced by toxic agents, Chinese government, in cooperation with Japanese government, organized a special troop to search, excavate, retrieve, and destroy JACWs. Up to date, about 50,000 pieces of poisonous chemical had retrieved and destroyed. The first operation was officially begun in Nanjing in October 2010. The main points of medical support on the operation of destroying JACWs include proper treatment of the newly discovered patients caused by JACWs, preparedness for handling the emergency medical rescue, and to actively provide routine medical support for JACWs operation field.

Abstract: We investigate theoretically the ground-state configurations of two-dimensional charged-particle systems with an elliptical hard-wall boundary and their vibrational eigenmodes. The systems exhibit a series of structural transitions, finally changing from a zigzag structure to a one-dimensional Coulomb chain, as the eccentricity of the elliptical hard-wall boundary is increased.

Fabrication and fast photoresponse properties of ZnO nanowires photodetectors

Abstract: One-dimensional ZnO nanostructure is especially attractive because of its unique properties such as high surface-to-volume ratio and a large exciton binding energy, but how to put it into a device is still a challenge. In this article, we show that a novel lateral metal-semiconductor-metal ultraviolet detector composed of ZnO nanowires is fabricated on glass substrate by a single-step hydrothermal approach. The fabricated photodetector demonstrates that the response to UV illumination in air is fast, the rise time is about 4 s, and the fall time is about 5 s, which could be attributed to the fact that the adsorption and the desorption of water molecules in the air onto oxygen vacancy of the nanowire significantly influence the photoresponse.

Abstract: The title compound, C12H11BrN2O2, was prepared by an intra-cyclization reaction of (S)-1-(5-bromo-2-nitrobenzyl)-5-oxopyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester in the presence of EtOH/Fe. The five-membered pyrrolidinone ring adopts an approximate envelope conformation, while the seven-membered diazepanone ring displays a twisted boat conformation. Intermolecular classical N—H...O hydrogen bonds and weak C—H...O interactions help to stabilize the crystal structure.

Abstract: 2004年3月-2006年5月,在南水北调中线水源区选择4个监测点进行了7次采样,获取了表层浮游植物和水质理化指标数据,采用污水生物系统法、营养状态指数法和单因子评价法综合评价了水源区的营养状态.结果表明:中线水源区浮游植物群落具有明显的时空变异性;浮游植物共有8门67属161种(含变种),硅藻占39%,污染指示种21属24种(含变种),β-中营养型占污染指示种的38%;在检出的浮游植物中未发现水体重污染指示种;水源区叶绿素a质量浓度为0.00425 mg·m-3,营养状态指数为0.0001;除总氮外,其他理化检测指标均符合Ⅰ类水质标准;综合评价水源区处于中营养状态.本研究可为中线水源区长期生态研究数据信息库的建立及库区环境保护政策的制定提供科学依据.

Abstract: The thesis firstly analyzes the actuality of intelligent medical diagnostic field.To reduce the mis-diagnosis ratio,an intelligent decision support system for the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction is built.For the single parameter dynamic searching method is used to train neural network,which proves to work well than BP algorithm,the training speed and classifying precision of neural network are increased.Tested by the diagnostic cases in clinical,the sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of the diagnosis system are higher than those of the physicians.It is significant to improve the accuracy to diagnose acute myocardial infarction.
