Two Methods for Calculating the Size Distribution of Ferritin’s Outer Diameter  [PDF]

Abstract: Ferritin is a kind of iron-storage protein widely found in animals and plants. The dynamic light scattering (Dynamic Light Scattering) method is used in the laboratory to determine the ferritin size. This paper presents two methods for calculating the outer diameter size distribution of ferritin, both of which assume that ferritin is approximately spherical. The ferritin data file was obtained from the PDB website and was calculated using the coordinate data of the amino acids to which the amino acids belong. The first method is based on the calculation of the sphere center; the second method is based on the method of the farthest distance atom pair. The outer diameter size distribution curves obtained by the two methods are basically consistent with the experimental methods. The paper also compares the calculation results and performance of the two methods. Both methods are versatile and can be used to calculate the size distribution of the globular proteins.

Abstract: Ferritin is assembled from sub-chains into a spherical shape. We have found that the number of sub-chains is generally 3, 6, 8, 12, 24, 36, and the corresponding spherical volume (outer diameter) is also different. In this paper, using the protein structural data from PDB website, linear regression was carried out to model the relationship between sub-chain number and outer diameter of 25 ferritins by calculation and analysis, but the results were not ideal. In order to improve the model, we divided the 25 proteins into two groups by molecular evolution, followed by the establishment of a linear model. The correlation coefficient of one group was R2 = 0.98. Based on calculations and modelling, we hypothesize that the new ferritin formed by the 3kx9 site-directed mutagenesis is no longer 24-chain, but a 36-chain mutant.

Abstract: In this paper, the mathematical model is introduced to make quantitative research into the microcosmic level. The adaptive measure model of textile intangible cultural heritage protection based on ANP is constructed and the adaptability of the protection is scientifically judged. The paper uses the super decisions to calculate the index weight and divide the rating standard, and selects the protection path according to the evaluation result. Then it can realize the dynamic adjustment of the textile intangible cultural heritage protection path and improve the effectiveness of the protection.
Hierarchical Coordinated Control for Power System Voltage Using Linear Temporal Logic  [PDF]

Abstract: The paper proposed an approach to study the power system voltage coordinated control using Linear Temporal Logic (LTL). First, the hybrid Automata model for power system voltage control was given, and a hierarchical coordinated voltage control framework was described in detail. In the hierarchical control structure, the high layer is the coordinated layer for global voltage control, and the low layer is the power system controlled. Then, the paper introduced the LTL language, its specification formula and basic method for control. In the high layer, global voltage coordinated control specification was defined by LTL specification formula. In order to implement system voltage coordinated control, the LTL specification formula was transformed into hybrid Automata model by the proposed algorithms. The hybrid Automata in high layer could coordinate the different distributed voltage controller, and have constituted a closed loop global voltage control system satisfied the LTL specification formula. Finally, a simple example of power system voltage control include the OLTC controller, the switched capacitor controller and the under-voltage shedding load controller was given for simulating analysis and verification by the proposed approach for power system coordinated voltage control. The results of simulation showed that the proposed method in the paper is feasible.

Abstract: This paper mainly focuses on the issues about generic multi-scale object perception for detection or recognition. A novel computational model in visually-feature space is presented for scene & object representation to purse the underlying textural manifold statistically in nonparametric manner. The associative method approximately makes perceptual hierarchy in human-vision biologically coherency in specific quad-tree-pyramid structure, and the appropriate scale-value of different objects can automatically be selected by evaluating from well-defined scale function without any priori knowledge. The sufficient experiments truly demonstrate the effectiveness of scale determination in textural manifold with object localization rapidly.

Abstract: The existence of the common quadratic Lyapunov functions of a set of second order linear systems is investigated. For a set of given second order linear systems ∑Ai:x(t)=Aix(t),whereAi∈R2×2is Hurwitz matrix, it is proved that there exist common quadratic Lyapunov functions. The proposed sufficient conditions of the existence of common quadratic Lyapunov functions are obtained in form of algebra inequalities. And the method of seeking a common quadratic Lyapunov function is also given. It is convenient to verify the conditions by computer programming. Finally, numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the obtained results.

Abstract: As the traditional way of information retrieval is based on keywords that the computer cannot understand users’ potential semantic and personalized query requirements, an ontology-based method of the enterprise content retrieval is studied in this paper. The architecture of the ontology-based enterprise content retrieval model is proposed and the retrieval process is discussed. Take the electronic products distributing company as an example, the enterprise ontology is set up and an ontology-based semantic retrieval algorithm is designed, which provides a reference for content retrieval in the enterprises.
