Laparoendoscopic Single-Site Combined Hysterectomy and Nephrectomy in Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis  [PDF]

Abstract: Within the advance ports and instruments, laparoendoscopic single-site (LESS) surgery has been increasingly used among gynaecologic surgeons. In addition, advanced port systems have enabled to perform concomitant surgical procedures via transumbilical incision. However, combined surgical operations are rarely reported in the literature, particularly in gynaecology. This case report presents a 42-year-old woman who undergo concomitant LESS hysterectomy and nephrectomy due to deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE) and end stage renal disease. The operation is performed in approximately 3 hours without any complications, and the patient is discharged on postoperative third day. This case demonstrates that complex concomitant operations even in a patient with DIE can be performed using a LESS surgical approach.

Abstract: The development and expansion of information and communication technologies (ICT) is seen as a tool to be effective in solving problems. Because higher education courses are technology intensive at universities, prospective teachers will be equipped with technology skillsThe role of educational technology in university education and training is happening by prospective teachers’ having related knowledge and skills. The material selection for the course purpose affects students’ level of comprehension and persistence of knowledge.Since, teachers and students will use these technologies, it is important to determine their level of self confidence for using technologies on educational purposes.The purpose of the study is to determine physical education and sport students’ levels of self confidence on the use of CIT for educational purposes. The survey method was used for collecting the data, and Likert type scale was preferred for measuring variables.The results of the analysis indicate the students have some level of self confidence in using information and communication technologies. The levels of self-confidence differ according to gender, taking computer courses (or not) and having computers at home (or not).When physical education and sport school students are evaluated according to the department,the students of physical education and sports have higher self-confidence levels fort he use computers and communications Technologies than the students of coaching education and sport management have.
An examination of the problems faced by the physical education teachers in the profession according to the some variables

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the problems faced by the physical education teachers according to certain variables, such as problems with school administration, problems with school and physical conditions, problems encountered in terms of their education and problems with students and parents and to identify the issues that cause stress.The study group is consisted of 178 physical education teachers in the province of Bal kesir. The study data were obtained through a questionnaire. Α reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was found to be .87. The analysis included descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test and One Way Analysis of Variance. As a result, a significant relationship was found between marital status and the problems encountered with the education they receive (t=2.25,P =0.03<0.05). Looking at the means, the married physical education teachers experience more problems in the work than unmarried physical education teachers do (XE=4:48>XB=4.22). A significant association was found between the problems that cause stress and marital status (t =2.00,P =0.05=0.05). Significant relationships were found between teachers tenure and 1) problems faced with school management, 2) school related problems and physical conditions, 3) school management, 4) physical conditions, 5) student, student families and problems that cause stress. "21 and more years " worked physical education teachers face more problems.

Abstract: Problem StatementBoth the motor skills development and providing the development of social competence and positiveego of the individuals has been aimed at PE courses. The expectations of the students in differentgenders from the general objectives defined in the curriculum of PE Courses and to determine andcompare the realization levels of their expectationsPurposeThe purpose of the present study was to describe the expectations of male and female elementary andsecondary school s t u d e n t s f r o m physical e d u c a t i o n courses.Design/methodology/approachThe study was conducted with the method of simple random sampling on 225 students (126 male, 129female) from 5 different elementary a n d 5 different high schools in downtown Bal kesir. An invantoryincluding 18 general purposes of physical education courses was administered to the sample.Findings and resultsResults were organized according to gender. Even though there were gender differences on the ratings of the 18 items, both male and female students rated the following 5 items as least important: "the understending of health benefits of physical education and developing free time sport activites", "fair play", "congratulating the winner", accepting the lost", "being against cheating in sports". In addition, differences were found on the ratings between elementary and secondary school students educational levels.RecommendationPhysical education and sport curriculum should be developed in the direction of the objectives of physical development and enabling the students to transfer proper behavour to their daily lives, and should have these programes appl ied consciously.

Abstract: The higher education system in Turkey suffered from capacity problem during the 1980s and the 1990s. After the election in 2002, to solve the problem, the Justice and Development Party governments have invested in higher education through opening new universities, increasing the total capacity in higher education, and sending more students abroad especially for graduate studies. In this paper, noting the conservative structure of the Justice and Development Party, we determine whether a dilemma exists between these liberal practices and the party’s conservatism. By constructing a one-period sequential game, we show that heavy investment in higher education by the Justice and Development Party is not contradictory and, in fact, inevitable, as long as it tries to maximize its vote in the short-medium run.
THE EFFECT OF PREVENTIVE CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAM ON APPROVAL AND DISAPPROVAL BEHAVIORS OF TEACHERS

Abstract: In this study, the effect of Preventive Classroom Management Training Program (PCMTP) on approval and disapproval behaviors of teachers working in inclusive classrooms was investigated. The study group consisted of 45 teachers who were working in public schools and had students with special needs in their classrooms. Data were gathered using Teacher Behaviors Observation Form, which was developed by the researcher, and during one lesson which was videotaped in the classrooms of teachers in the experimental group (n=21) who had a training using PCMTP and the control group (n=24). The analysis of the research data revealed that PCMTP did not make significant differences in the approval/disapproval behaviors of the teachers in terms of the post-test results but the maintenance results showed that disapproval behaviors of the teachers were significantly lower.

Abstract: Lexicology of Dīwān Lu āt at-Turk is not only the Old Turkic but only the most important source of all historical and modern Turkic dialects. Although the Kashgar says he didn’t take the words assumed as obsolescent in his era there is a lot of archaic words in the dictionary. In this paper we do an etymological essay of the word ulas / les “gently-glancing” which there isn’t to much work on its reading, meaning and structure. Firstly we touch upon the reading and analysing essays of the word. Then we start out to explain our opinion from the historical and modern texts of Turkic dialects. D vanü Lugati’t-Türk, s z varl bak m ndan sadece Eski Türk enin de il Türk enin tarih ve a da bütün d nemlerinin en temel kaynaklar ndan biridir. Abstract: Mahm d al-Kashgar examines Oghuz Turkic ge ür “carrot” at D van Lugat at-Turk in the entry of turma “radish”. He expresses that an important part of Turks says sar g turma for carrot. The people of Argu call the latter gezri borrowing the Persian word for carrot gezer and the Oghuz call it ge ür which they also borrowed from Persian. In this paper we will put the emphasis on the etymology of ge ür “carrot” that belongs to agriculture culture and firstly demonstrated in D van Lugat at-Türk among the historic texts until today. We will work to prove that ge ür didn’t passed from Persian gezer but was passed to XI. century Oghuz Turkic from gacur which was Sanskrit origin. Ka garl Mahmud D vanü Lugati’t-Türk’te O uzca ge ür “havu ” kelimesini turma “turp” maddesi i erisinde de erlendirir. Türklerin nemli bir k sm n n havuca sar g turma dediklerini ifade eder. Abstract: In this paper we do an etymological essay of the word suk nguwhich used in Sekiz Yükmek. According to Juten Oda suk ng is derivated from suk- or sok- “to thrust into” and it means “winter dwelling”. Marcel Erdal disagrees this opinion and claims that it is derivated from sog n- “cool themselves” and he transcribes this word as sog ngu means “refreshing room for the summer”. en claims that this word is derivated from suk n- which means “to take a bath” in Old Turkic and explains its meaning as “bathroom”. We share the same views with en about the meaning of suk ngu. But we claim that the root of this word is sug- “to drain (water etc.)” in Old Turkic. Then added this word -(X)n- reflexive suffix and it became sug n- “to bathe”. -gu+ in Turkic, makes place names and when this suffix added to the sug ngu it means “bathroom”. Bu al mada Sekiz Yükmek’te ge en suk ngu kelimesinin yap s ve anlam üzerinde durulacakt r.
